Canfel Care Animal Hospital Houston, Texas

I've moved twice and have tried vets near my new location however, I ALWAYS end up back here. I LOVE how our Vet is hands on first above x-rays and surgery. The staff is always professional yet personable and make you feel as important at you dear pet.

This place is great. Have provided great care for many of dogs over the last 6 years. My favorite thing about it is they actually try to minimize the bill whenever possible without sacrificing care. As an example, lots of vets in the area will give you a $130 antibiotic when there are $20 antibiotics that are just as effective.

We had to return a sweet little dog because we were not ready for her. But this nice place took her back- to give to her foster mom again. If I lived in the area I would check this place out.

Wish they had a little better location, but I was really impressed with the rescue work done in there. Sadly i was there to put my 18 year old cat to sleep, but the vet there is really something special, he had us smiling and remembering the fun times with our pet instead of still crying when we left and that is priceless!

They took great care of my German Shepherd.

Absolutely the worst experience ever. No compassion whatsoever - the DVM and staff didn't even bother introducing themselves. They told me that they did blood tests on my dog but I never recieved any records of it. The clinic is a total scam.

I have been going to this clinic since he opened in 2003. It used to be a very small-town feeling, friendly veterinarian clinic that I highly recommend to anyone needing care. In the past two years, the care has gone downhill tremendously. The focus is no longer on the animals and what they need. The clinic now runs based on the maximum amount of profit they will receive. They no longer provide quality, affordable service. They no longer call to check on your pet after being seen for an accident or illness. They no longer call like they used to do to remind you if your pet is due for shots or a check up. When I call to ask a question, they never have time to answer the question without making an appointment to be seen and pay the office visit. They also never have appointments available and are no concerned if it is an emergency. Dr. Wainwright used to be the most compassionate veterinarian in this area. I'm not sure what has changed, but it definitely is not for the better.

Great people that care for the animals. We take our poodle there for all care and boarding....

They are really great and know what they are doing and actually care about your fur babies the only thing is that the receptionist both of them need to be a little more friendly they are both with their straight face when you come in. smiling would not kill you.
