The staff is so nice, they definitely are doing an awesome job helping those furbabies find their forever homes. Both my dogs are from here.

It is very difficult to make contact Harlingen Texas. No matter what time I have called no answer.

Person in charge needs to be more friendly special if it is for a donation. Cause I am sure they need all the donations they can get. I am sure some other shelter will appreciate the 10 bags of dog food we left there .

Tues Sept 7 I brought in a Momma cat and 4 kittens. Mom was a homeless pregnet cat I let her come in so the she had good place to have the babies since Tue the 7 2 babies have been adopted I am happy about that I knew those kittens would find homes quick well socilized babies I wish I could have kept momma but I'm leaving I hope that thr new family will love thrm as much asI I do

Helpful when we found a stray kitten; we got a quick scan for a microchip. They were patient when we walked into their busy office.

What is the hold off on this month vacination ,website is still not on to register the 2 wks. registration before vacination is pass due

Very upsetting because I called to ask a question and no one answered then someone picked up and I could hear ppl talking then they put the phone down again then you hear ppl again talking then the answering machine goes on....dude really ????

They're always doing the best they can to get these pets adopted and help the community with monthly clinics.

I found this kitten at DQ on Ed Carey in Harlingen, TX. I am highly allergic to cats so I could not keep it but I could not just leave it there to starve (it is super skinny) or get run over by a car. So I took to the kitten to the Humane Society in Harlingen, only to have them tell me they do "...intakes by appointment only! We are to capacity in both dogs and cats. So it will be awhile before you could get an appointment!..." The best they could offer was a list of Facebook groups to join that might help. At a loss and not sure what to do I called a friend. She said that she wanted the kitten. So thank God and Blanca the kitty has a loving forever home.

So many pets that need to be adopted. Mostly larger breeds. Staff is friendly and informative.

Adopted our fur baby from here a couple of weeks ago. Fast and easy adoption.

I was under the impression that during their time there before adoption the animals were being cared for, healthwise. I adopted a kitten I saw online,went to get her and they tell me there she has these bald spots on her fur. I still adopt her because I fell in love with her. I take her to the vet to get a check up. Turns out she has ringworm and ear mites and she was underweight. She got taken care of regardless because she is now my responsibility. But I didnt think she would be left that way all uncomfortable before adoption. Aside from that, friendly staff and clean facility. Just question their care. That's all.

We volunteered with the kittens this morning and it was great. They were so cute and obviously cared for. Everyone was super nice. We plan to volunteer regularly.

Was calling all weekend and called this morning on Monday 1:28pm, all I get is automatic voice saying I reached them from outside of business hours which is Mon-Fri from 1pm-5pm. ( hmmm my calls are not outside business hours ) Very dissapointed.

The kennels are clean and the dogs and cats look well taken care of. I'm happy it is not a kill shelter

Human Society, Harlingen, Texas: Miserable service. No help. Found newborn kitten (approx 3 wks old or less) gasping for air, dirty, mommy not around to care for the kitten. (no owner) I was turned away. The baby kitten is possibly dying. Staffer only provided tips on how to care for him. I’m not an expert. Prayers for this kitten.

This place should be shut down or at least ran by people who know what they're doing.
