Took my 21 year old Jack Russell Chester in for a persistent cough that was getting more pronounced. The techs are always so loving to the pets, and Dr. Paige was quite thorough and very knowledgeable. X-rays and antibiotic shot were expensive, but neccessary, I suppose, tod diagnose him and treat him properly. He's better already after a day.

Charged me a "work in" fee of $25 to see my dog when he had an itchy reaction to something and I didnt have an appointment. I would have understood this charge if it had been busy, but no one else was in the clinic that morning or even after I left. There were so many unfilled appointment times. I suppose this is what happens when a corporation buys a private practice. They get greedy. Shame on you.

We have been coming to Galveston Island Vetrenary Clinic for decades! The staff is always very professional and concerned. We have primarily seen Dr. Henderson. He is awesome! We recently went for a visit and 1 of the new vets saw Red He was awesome! You can't go wrong taking your animals here!

My dog has been seen at this clinic for over 7 years and has received excellent veterinary care. I have also boarded her there every time I travel. Last December 2021, my dog received her annual check up and everything was good, she was in perfect health. Days later, I brought her in for boarding and she got sick under their care. The clinic made no effort to call my emergency contact. I learned about her illness during the check out process. The bill for boarding was higher than usual so I requested an itemized bill and noted charges for meds, and daily treatments. I asked why she was given medication and the staff was clueless and even asked me if I have requested them to provide the meds. She then noted that my dog got sick at their facility and the vet had prescribed antibiotics, and probiotics so there was extra charges for that and daily fees for providing the treatment. I was shocked that I had to request an itemized bill to learn about my dog illness. I asked for more information and was told to wait that they will get someone to speak to me. Ten minutes later, the same front desk person called me back to repeat the same information. This person was rude and did not seem to care about my concern. Her only interest was to get the bill paid. To make the matter worse, my dog was not given the correct food amount. I brought enough food to last for the time she would be boarding and half of the food was returned to me. Needless to say, I cannot longer trust this place to care for my dog.

Once again, Galveston Ver Clinic has taken excellent care of our Tigger. He had to have surgery and their care and concern for him is above and beyond. Thanks, y’all!

I cannot say enough good things about this vet office. Every time you walk in they are eager and excited to help. We have a puppy who has only ever know this vets office and they recognize her and me every time we walk in. All of the doctors are fantastic. No matter who we see I know we will be getting great service. The techs are top tier and the environment is great. So glad we found them!

My dog recently had his teeth cleaned and a few baby teeth removed. Since I am on the PAWS plan, I paid just a small amount for the extractions. The Vet Tech was responsive to my questions, and the Veterinarian called me personally to let me know my dog had done well. Also, a member of the staff followed up the day after the surgery to check on my dog's status. I really appreciate the kindness and care shown to me and my pet.

Dr. Osborn and the staff were super helpful. The Dr. was very knowledgeable about our canine's problem although it was the very first time they met. We were also able to get in quickly. Will definitely use them again and recommend them to anyone who needs a vet.

Pretty nice place. Staff was pretty friendly. But the prices for my dogs heart worm medicine were OUTRAGEOUS!! I found the same stuff online for $80 (or more) cheaper!

Love this place! The vets are super responsive, give helpful advice on the phone, and don’t do anything to your fur baby unless truly necessary. Offices are always clean, and plenty of water bowls and treats around to make your fur baby feel good.

Through twenty years of beloved pets, our family has been pleased with the knowledge and professionalism of the employees at Galveston Veterinary Clinic. From puppies and adoptions to senior care and rainbow crossings, these folks work as a team and support the needs of their clients. Recently, Dr. Knupel and team gave our two doxies a fine cleaning. Tech Kim comforted our little scared one and gave sweet compliments to our service dog. Kim is very caring. Angelo took time to answer questions and encourage oral health care of our little ones. We all feel better now!

Took my dog in for his first visit. He had some inflammation on each front paw. Wait time was acceptable, office staff are nice, and vet tech was also nice. My dog is the sweetest dog, but don't touch his paws. He gets aggressive ONLY when touching his paws. So I mentioned this prior to the exam. Vet came in and we put the muzzle on him, while I held him so the vet could check out his paws. Prescribed anti-biotics and alternate to steroid. Expensive meds compared to almost exact ones my dog was prescribed in Rockport a few months ago. I tried to put my dog on their monthly payment "health plan" but was denied because of his paw aggression, as if it took that much extra time to place a muzzle on and have me hold him. They told me it wouldn't be worth it to get the plan, since my dog wouldn't be able to take advantage of all the services it included. Guess they are picky who gets to be on the plan or not. I may go back to this vet simply because it's so close, or I may not and find one that allows me to put him on a similar health plan. The plan is a good deal considering it's monthly payments and covers a lot of routine visits and meds, IF they let you go on the plan. Otherwise their normal costs are double of the vet I was using in Rockport. Maybe that's just par for the course here in Galveston.

Every time I have come to Galveston Veterinary Clinic I am impressed by how great they are with my dogs and myself. My oldest dog is cautious and takes a while to trust, but he has had no problems with them. They take the time to get to know your pet and how to best work with them so that they feel safe and comfortable. I am always able to get an appointment in a timely manner. We usually see Dr. Konsker and my dogs adore him, BUT the times we have had a more urgent matter that required a different vet it has been great, too. I drive further away on the island just to see these folks. I know people who drive in from League City because they’re amazing.

As soon as we walked in there was footprints of dried feces on the floor and again near the weight scale and the scale itself looked like it had not been cleaned in awhile. I do not appreciate a place that is a medical facility, human or animal not being maintained in a sanitary manner. Our tech was friendly. One of the people behind the counter was friendly. The other acted as though having customers was an inconvenience to her.
