They were kind caring and understanding when we had to put our dog down. My regular vet would not even attempt to fit us in even though my sweet boy was quickly declining. Dr. Koothan and the staff here at Citi Animal hospital are fantastic. I had an emergency with my toy poodle. I was treated with compassion and care from the moment I walked in the door. Everyone was quick to respond and reacted with appropriate urgency. Not only was the initial visit reassuring the follow up care has been second to none. I know my fur babies are in capable caring hands at citi. Emergency vet care is expensive but Dr. Koothan and his staff are considerate of budget and explain all details prior to performing services. Dr. Koothan explains everything and gives a realistic prognosis without sugar coating. I have had emergency vet situations in the past that dont compare to the care I received here. Thank you from the bottom if my heart!

Citi Animal Hospital is AMAZING! This is where I take my pets for their check ups. Last night my cats eye became swollen and wasn’t adjusting to the light like it should. This morning I went in at 8 am in a worry and they took him in right away and looked him over! I was so relieved that they were able to fit him in even though it was a walk in! I LOVE this place! I always feel like my pets are taken care of. Very lovely people!

This clinic worked us in as a new patient 1 hour before they closed after our previous vet would not help us. Our senior dog was in a lot of pain due to a GI issue. Previous vet told us to take him to Vet ER. Like most people we were not prepared to spend $1000 at the ER. Dr. K and staff were very professional and attentive to our dogs needs. No tests were preformed without discussion of cost first. I highly recommend Citi Animal Hosp.

Back in May 2021 this hospital saved my last 2 Chihuahua puppies. I lost 5 fur babies to that horrible disease called PARVO ???????? I only had 2 left and needed medicine right away. One was positive and the other negative but he would be positive shortly. They 2 my babies and saved them. It was a 2 day procedure and they treated my fur babies like they were their babies. I told them I just lost my daddy in April 2021 and losing all my fur babies was making me highly depressed. My daddy loved dogs just like me. In fact since I was born we always always had dogs. The staff was just amazing and the Veterinarian Was awesome. They are such a loving staff. My babies made it. THANKS TO THIS AMAZING HOSPITAL MY BABIES ARE HERE AND ALREADY GOT THEIR FIRST PARVO SHOT NOW. IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR A HOSPITAL THAT ACTUALLY CARES ABOUT ANIMALS YOU FOUND IT HERE. Unfortunately, our experience with our pets here was terrible. Front desk staff is extremely unpleasant, rude and unprofessional. The practicing veterinarian and owner doesn't seem to have compassion for animals at all, his priority is definitely the almighty dollar. What a shame. Do not take your furbabies here. Ever. They will be treated as an inconvenience to the staff, and as a second thought by the owner and Dr. Not a good experience. There are plenty of other places to get care for you animals in friendswood. Places that treat you and your pets with compassion and respect. Go anywhere but here.

I have been bringing my two cats to Dr. Koothan for several years now. I love that they are open 6 days a week, including Saturday and Sunday. Believe me, I have saved so much money from not having to go to the animal emergency clinics. The office staff is always nice and helpful and Dr K always takes good care of my kitties.

These people don't know how to deal with the public. Very unprofessional. They try to do tests and vaccinations that are not requested so your bill is incredibly high. No wonder the place looks like a castle.

I took my puppy here in December 2020 under the assumption that her first visit fee was free given the coupon (as of March 2021) currently on their website. After the visit, the vet refused to honor the coupon and said it needs to be removed from the website. Yet it still has not been removed. Further, I asked for an overall exam and they failed to scan her for a microchip. I called after and asked if they could add this to their records and they said I would need to schedule an appointment (and pay a fee) so they could scan her and add it to the records. I also receive post cards in the mail from this place stating my dog is not up-to-date on her vaccines when in fact she is. I have to call each time and verify that I did not miss a dosage or vaccine. Lastly, I was never offered any variety of heartworm/flee medication and was charged for a 3-in-1 expensive brand, not knowing I had other options. They do something similar when they call and ask you to approve the shots they want to give your dog (i.e. there is no clarification what is required and what is recommended). The vet and vet tech are friend in conversation, but this is a poorly run facility that exhibits fraud in my opinion.

I think a lot of these positive reviews are fake. I read one review where the Vet was going to call the police on a customer because they wouldn't pay the jacked up bill when the customer signed a fixed cost the day before! Wow, if this is how this vet does business I wouldn't trust him with any of my pets.

This place was awful. Took 6 hours cause my dog wouldn't pee for a urinalysis. Then they tried to charge me for a test I didn't authorize. Only bright spot was the techs they were very nice. The vet was garbage

I have used Citi Animal hospital for breeding all my dogs. Dr K performs surgical insemination and c section. Very affordable!

They was attentive to my Retired Airforce Major grandfather's animals, grandmas,and moms;I didn't have to wait for anyone to get off a phone anytime I've been there;and they're very helpful re:animals via. Telephone calls.

We just recently purchased a Goldendoodle puppy and could not get anyone to schedule us for an exam. They were able to fit is in the same day and get our pup screened and check out. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful!

HORRIBLE MANAGEMENT. DO NOT BRING YOUR PETS HERE. They SHOCK poor animals here , to the point where they bleed. Please look somewhere else don't waste your time here. VERY ABUSIVE AND RUDE DOCTORS.

My pet was brought into an exam room within minutes of walking through the door. The vets were friendly and helpful and didn't mind having to stay late to give my dog stitches.

I was recommended to visit this place from a dear, pet loving friend. It is clean, neat and the staff is wonderful. They were very attentive toward my dog's needs as well as my own. They are very thorough with making sure they have all info about my pet's past and asked questions to make sure we were comfortable. The assistant and the doctor were awesome! You can tell they care about animals and their owners. They tell you the pricing up front, which is very reasonable. They even have treats for the animals to make sure they feel at ease, which quells their anxiety. There is plenty of parking and the business is located in a great area. A win all the way around. 5 stars!
