Will happily take my dog here in the future. Took care of our sick pup, was nice enough to follow up with a text the next day to see how we were doing, sent me the ENTIRE chart (not just a summary) and gave us a generous military discount. We hope we don't have to come back, but I will feel safe if we do.

This office is one of a kind. I’ve had hundreds of regular and emergency vet encounters in my lifetime and aside from my primary vet (who was closed today) this is the only other team who will stand out in my memories forever. This place was buzzing on a Saturday evening, with 8-10 patients in queue with who knows how many in the back, and more coming through the door every few minutes. I had driven hours from home earlier in the day in search of a vet who could see my 12-yr-old chihuahua, Kitty for a sudden-onset eye issue. After waiting 2.5 hours in the waiting room at another ER only to be told it might be another 3-4 hours before she would be seen, I was prepared to settle in for a while at VEG. I’d called around to every ER in DFW -when I drove to VEG all were on multiple hour waits. I watched the staff come in to assess patients in the room, sitting on the floor and pausing to connect with each dog before proceeding. Asking questions and assuring owners with their demeanor. “That’s different,” I thought. I was approached much quicker than I expected, given the crowd, and had a great experience with Ariel. She was fantastic! I love when people love what they do. It seemed like everyone in the building was passionate about being there and helping animals and their humans. They handled “spicy” dogs expertly and were kind and compassionate with every case I overheard. I love that you don’t have to stay behind when your pet goes back, too. We did have to wait a bit before going back but I felt confident they were worth the wait. I felt like everyone who works here is real, smart and honest. I live over an hour from VEG and if I ever need an after-hours vet again for something that is stable enough to make the drive, I will absolutely be coming back. I’ll also be sharing this experience with all my friends in North Fort Worth.

Had to bring my 3month old Australian Shepherd in at 11pm after she devoured an entire cup of chocolate ice cream. The staff was beyond friendly and helpful and were able to quickly and efficiently take care of her. Despite the seriousness of the situation, I felt very confident and comfortable in and with them. Although I very much hope to never need their services again, I do hope I’ll be able to see them again….under different and more positive circumstances.

My daughter and I brought our new family cat there today for a toe injury. We were taken back right away and our service was second to none. I cannot say enough great things, from the minute we walked in to the minute we left. Highly recommend!

I took my cat Gus in on 1/9 around 11:00 AM to address sudden aggression he began to display the night before that hadn’t subsided. I couldn’t get near him, he was attacking so viciously. I was terrified something major was going on because he is usually an affectionate and snuggly guy. I was an emotional mess and can’t remember the names of all the staff that helped, but they were all great. Based on the results, it was advised that his condition may be behavioral so I was given recommendations to address these concerns. I immediately went out and bought the entire store (multiple calming diffusers, spray, more litter boxes, an extra water bowl, additional cat trees, enclosed beds for every room, calming food to mix in with his food, and a stuffie that has an opening for calming pellets and a heat pad). We followed the steps the vet advised. He came out of the carrier a little skiddish, but immediately started to rub up on my leg. After a few minutes of exploring the new items in the house, be climbed up on my lap, purred, and started making biscuits. He‘s been snuggling the entire evening. He’s a bit wary still, but he is acting more his usual self. We‘re going to go the animal behaviorist route to ensure we don’t have another night like last night. I’m so relieved he‘s almost back to baseline. I have my kitty back tonight. Thank you all. I attached some pictures of him being sweet tonight. Big improvement from him trying to claw and bite my face.

Our dog, Darby, first began showing symptoms of pain in the neck area on 12/31, and I wasn’t able to get an appointment with my vet until 1/6. We carefully monitored Darby each day and night, and on the evening of 1/5 decided we needed to visit an emergency room. The hospital we have gone to in the past wasn’t accepting any walk-ins due to their heavy case load, so they referred us to VEG in Fort Worth. When we arrived, we were immediately greeted and asked what was going on. Within minutes, a tech, Sam, had joined us at the front desk to ask questions and to listen to our description of the issue. She then took Darby to the back to give her a quick check. The waiting room was full, so they found us a couple of chairs amidst the hustle and bustle of the hospital. It was amazing to watch how everyone worked together and how they interacted with each animal - big or small, cat or dog. I observed such camaraderie among the team, from information sharing on each patient to checking on us pet parents to ensure we had what we needed. They even have water and snacks for those long visits! Other emergency hospitals I have observed have not had such an open concept. I hadn’t ever given it a second thought - until this experience. The staff was more concerned with quickly providing treatment needed than they were about making sure the invoice was paid. When the vet got down on the floor to be at the same level as Darby, who was now laying on a couch, I was done for. I mean, their website says they do that, but…they really do!! Registration, estimates, consent and payment were all handled online - I received a text, clicked a link, provided some information, and that was it! Very easy. Invoice, X-rays and report - click a link in an email. I checked with our primary vet this morning to ensure they had received the records from VEG, and sure enough, they had received them last night, just as we had been told they would. I want to give a huge shout out to Sam, the vet tech that first greeted us and who followed (and led) Darby’s care over our 4 hour visit. She seemed to adore Darby and complimented her on being so laid back. Sam even sent us a text after we had left because she hadn’t had a chance to say goodbye! Thank you, as well, to Dr. Phelan, who was so patient and kind, giving us the information needed to take the next step. Having the X-rays and report completed last night made today’s appointment with our primary vet so much easier! An emergency vet visit is never fun, so finding a group of people that you feel really care about not only your fur baby and any outcome, but also about the pet parents is so welcome!

The staff here was extremely helpful in treating my dog during the late hours of the night. You could tell they genuinely cared about my dogs well-being. They explained everything step by step. In addition, they gave my wife a teacher discount on the final bill which was a big help.

They took great care of my pet in an emergency situation, but what impressed me most was the caring and knowledgeable team. Dr Croslin took the time to explain everything thoroughly. The staff of kelsey, jan, and Jordan all helped out tremendously.

Brought my 11 year old coonhound here as she was yelping out in pain. I knew something was wrong. I called ahead and was able to check in via a link. They met me at the door to get her out of the car. I was able to stay with her the entire time as they communicated every move to me. Her stomach had turned upside down and they eased her pain immediately. We talked about options and the vet was very knowledgeable, kind and offered me a lot of peace. Excellent service and care.

My dog/ best friend flex caught a virus and wasnt doing well at all. Took him to this place at about 12am worried and sick to my stomach. Jenny was able to tell me what I needed to do and gave me options on what path to take. Jenny, tiffany and the Dr (I cant remember the doctors name off the top of my head) showed comfort to not just me but my puppy as well. They provided the upmost best care and brought my man back to life even when I was beginning to think the worse. This place and staff deserves more than 5 stars . Thank you thank you for saving my friend .

I cannot say enough good things about this Vet ER- first call to them I had the opportunity to speak to a doctor and with our concerns we brought our mastiff in. Each staff member was so kind and gentle- professional and knowledgeable. They even were able to work with us on the billing! The entire fact we could stay right with our dog meant the world to us. They treated our dog like he was their own!

We brought our cat in yesterday...she was not doing well at all. Vomiting, lethargic, shivering. Our normal emergency room couldn't take her, and we tried one other that was also full. Then we came here to VEG and so glad we did. They were absolutely wonderful! Dr. Schwertner and Stephen the Vet Tech were so patient and caring. They took great care of our cat who was close to death with heart arrhythmia. After hours of heating blankets, IV, and medicine, she started to recover, and the good news was after about 6+ hours our cat was feeling well enough again to go home. I highly recommend VEG. All the staff was so friendly. And they have a generous military discount.

After having a pet emergency while both adults in the house were quarantined, I called VEG and made a plan with the staff. Our pup was having a major allergic reaction to something and needed to be seen. I was told I could bring her but would need to stay in the car, double masked, while the staff donned full PPE and did all assessment and treatment outside. They took an already (doubly) stressful situation and brought us peace of mind about our sweet girl. Dr Hawkins and her tech went above and beyond and we couldn't be more thankful!

My Heart is OVERWHELMED i would like to take A moment to thank Everyone At Veterinary Emergency Group The Outpouring of Love And Support is UNEXPLAINABLE - I Walkied into this place with my Sweet boy Micah not knowing WHAT to expect, but never thinking he was living in his final hours. From the moment we walked in I could feel the Love and compassion from ALL STAFF . I’m horrible with names but to the overnight crew from December 19th, 2021 Me and my mom are FOREVER grateful for you All. You all were Truly God sent. They ensured me I was making the best decision and made sure his transition was comfortable as it could be. They were so patient and understanding. And if things weren’t hard enough - unfortunately I wasn’t able to pay to get Micah’s remains nor was I prepared to pay to have him euthanized and you all made sure I had NO WORRIES in the financial aspect and handled everything for me , and to top it off - Also mailed me out a card & had his Paw print sent to A local pet cemetery Fond Memories – Faithful Friends Pet Cemetery to be made. The amount of Gratitude I have is unexplainable… THANK YOU ALL for your compassion and kindness towards me and for the imprint you left on my heart❤️

I can’t recommend VEG enough! They saved our puppy’s life. Rolo tested positive for parvo despite being fully vaccinated and 9 months old. VEG not only took AMAZING care of rolo but texted me updates and photos of him while he was recovering in isolation. I am so so thankful for them. It was so amazing to have vets take care of your dog that genuinely care for them.

My little yorkie had a chocking emergency on Christmas Day. This Vet is a new Vet Emergency Facility in Fort Worth that is about 10 min from my house near Costco along I 35 south bound. I called and Jordan immediately let me speak with the Doctor. The Doctor gave me several options and we decided to bring him right in. They texted me a web check in so by the time we arrived at the facility, they had his info and were expecting us. Since time was essential, they worked on him quickly, administering medication right there in the waiting area to encourage him to vomit. Dr Petre was so caring and our tech Ashley was so great with our little man. He is only 5 lbs and swallowed a larger dog treat. Ashley worked with him and we all encouraged him to get it up. Once he expelled the object, they administered anti nausea medication to help him feel better and sent us home with one prescription to help his throat. The entire staff there was amazing and genuinely cared for our baby. It was Christmas day and hardly no place was open. We would have normally had to go all the way to southlake which could have effected our dogs throat and his breathing driving 45 min to that hospital. Having this new emergency vet close by that is open 24/7 is a Godsend! I am so grateful for the staff that worked xmas day and took care of our Rooney. He was 100% better once he left there. I hope my review touches others. Please drive by and get familiar with where this vet is located so when you are in a panic and need them, you know where to go. Thank you Dr Petre and team for taking care of our baby.

My experience at other vet emergency rooms is that the front staff are rude and strictly business. Then your beloved animal is whisked away and you aren’t allowed to know what’s going on till they come out and talk to you. VEG was an entirely new experience for me. Front staff are friendly, caring and helpful. The set up is totally transparent and you are allowed to be with your pet every step of the way and are included in all the decision making. It was a great environment to be in when you are scared and worried for your animal. I can’t imagine going anywhere else for vet ER services in the future.

My son's cat had surgery at another Vet and was in agony. We ended up taking her to VEG, where we were treated with kindness, empathy, and attentiveness. After examining my son's cat, Dr. McCoy explained her concerns and recommendations. Besides Dr. McCoy, Ashley and Jorden also assisted, and it's easy to tell they love what they do. Our cat was cranky, yet they cared for her as if she was their own. The overall experience was superb; from the moment we entered the vet until we left with immense relief, the staff provided excellent care for the pets and pet owners.

After waiting days for our vet to get my baby boy an appointment, we finally realized at 5am on a Sunday he couldn't wait for his Monday afternoon appointment. My husband rushed him here and they took great care of him. They kept my very anxious dog comfortable (not easy to do lol), diagnosed/treated him and he was feeling better in just a few days.

The staff were so friendly and helpful from the first initial call and throughout the whole process. Our baby (shepherd mix dog) ripped half his toenail off while playing and was in pain. The staff got on the floor with him and loved on him to get him comfortable. The vet was very patient and friendly! I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. I hope we never have to go back cause the emergency vet isn’t a place you ever wanna take your pets but I feel better knowing that we have great care in the event we ever need then in the future. He is now home comfortably sleeping and no longer in pain!!

I had a huge emergency with my Ruby Marie being attacked by a stray pit. My children and I brought her as fast as we could to VEG and they immediately began to check her out. I am deaf and Ruby hears for me. I’m sure she thought she was protecting me when she went to confront that stray. ???? Dr. Petre and her team did everything possible to help lil’ Ruby! being considerate to the fact I’m deaf and couldn’t understand everything that was going on or being said they took the time to let me read their lips and type everything out for me. This is an amazing place to trust any pet to. These folks have hearts and souls of gold. I can’t stop crying as I type this because they are truly amazing!! Ruby Marie has a much higher chance at continuing to learn sign language from me and being my ears. Thank you so very much from my family to your Vet family!! ???????????????????????????????? I pray she gets back to her old self again soon!

My sweet Bella escaped out the front door, was hit by a car, and ran away. She was missing for 2 days. By the grace of God and a Good Samaritan we found her. We took her straight to VEG where she received phenomenal care. From the time we walked in until the time we walked out we were treated like the most important patient and caregiver in the room. They were extremely busy! Dr. Lauren Cannon was the only doctor and I would have never known. She spent one on one time with me and Bella. Pete was the technician assigned to our care and she stayed with us through everything, answered all my questions, and made sure Bella was treated like the princess she is. The facility was exceptionally clean and there were accommodations for the pets and owners. The facility is open concept and you are able to be with your pet through everything. They want you to be around when treating your pet. There is no “let us take her to the back and get her weight”. You get to be a part of it ALL. HIGHLY recommended.

We were traveling from Nebraska down to San Antonio and we had to bring our diabetic dog in for an emergency visit as we were passing through. Everyone at this clinic was extremely friendly and helpful. Lauren was an amazing tech who seemed to genuinely care about us and our dog. Despite being an emergency clinic on a holiday weekend, we were seen fairly quickly and received updates frequently. Dr . Petre was incredible as well, she was very kind and knowledgeable. We are extremely impressed with the staff of this facility and would recommend them to anyone.
