Rafa and I had such a great experience at summer creek! We had our first visit this week and the staff is so attentive to my and other dog’s needs. In particular, Kimi our vet tech was so sweet and accommodating. I’ve been looking for a place like this for so long!

I was expecting a little bit more service for the cost....maybe Im asking too much my puppy got its 2nd round of shots, heart worm and flea prevention for $250. I thought that was a bit expensive but I may be wrong.....I just know Petsmart has a lower puppy visit .....this place qas $65 just for the appointment.

Always very good experiences here. Thank you for all you all do, the patience and care is always well noted. I've taken my pets to many many different clinics and none compare to summer creek. I hope you will expand to include exotic pets soon!

Went in to get X-rays on my parents dog and they had to sedate him. The reason my parents took him in was because their dog hurt his hip playing with a ball. Prior to Max hurting his hip, he was beyond healthy! Once my parents were asked to pick up their dog, Max, they came back to a vegetable! We feel as though he was over sedated! How does someone take their dog in for an X-ray on their hip, and return to a dog that has multiple seizures, not eating, not drinking, cannot move and crying nonstop. Max is now a complete vegetable!! My heart breaks for the pain my parents are going through.

The best people, every animal and human is given the ultimate in TLC. Pets comfort is a priority. Dr. McCorkle is a hands on (Literally gets on the floor with your babies) Vet. The staff do everything they can to ensure a stress free visit. Today's visit was great. Katrina and Charla were awesome as is to be expected. They were wonderful with Teo, even though he was not being a gentleman. Your care and concern for my companion.

Summer Creek is great! We had a not so great experience treating a broken leg at another facility and switched to Summer Creek. They listened to our concerns, followed up, and were very personable and compassionate. We will definately be using them more in the future.

This clinic and the staff do not even deserve one star but to move forward with the review, I had to select one. We took our dog in to be examined for a specific concern. That concern was completely overlooked and they became hyper focused on “Their” concern of dehydration which they contributed to. Our dog was not exhibiting any signs of dehydration when we took her to Summer Creek. We were charged for services that were not rendered and sent home with medication and advised it was “Critical” she be taken to an emergency clinic for IV Hydration Therapy. No other instructions were given! She was sent home with Cerenia for vomiting, but she was not vomiting and a strong antibiotic even though there were no visible signs or labs that indicated she had an infection! White blood cells were normal, temp/HR/RR and discomfort level ALL NORMAL! Upon getting home our dog immediately ran to her water/food dish and it was obvious by the amount she consumed she had not had anything to eat or drink during the 6 hrs she was at Summer Creek Animal Clinic. None of this was sitting right with me so I took our dog to a different Vet for a second opinion who did not find any evidence of Dehydration and examined our dog for the concern we originally had and FIXED the issue as well as clipped her nails and sent us home with 4 cans of dog food. No medication was needed. (Total cost $104.00) I called Summer Creek Animal Clinic to address my concerns as soon as they opened at 8:00 am. I addressed my concerns for 35 minutes with Charla who advised there was verbatim “an issue with the machine and sample collected”. She was kind and compassionate but could not offer a resolution and would have the Practice manager Jessica call me at her earliest convenience. Jessica called 3 hrs later and I had to explain the entire ordeal all over again. I asked for an explanation as well as evidence that they examined our dog for what we brought her in for. She could not provide that and just kept repeating her script that they did everything correctly. When I said “so you are not willing to meet me in the middle and reverse some of these charges ($528.19)for services not rendered”…she hung up on me and the office closed for lunch. I will be filing a formal complaint with the Texas Board of Veterinary Medical Examiners, AAHA and seeking legal action. All of this could have been avoided had Summer Creek Animal Clinic stood behind their “Values” of Loving people and their pets, Fear free first, Practice Excellence and Efficiency, Embody Honesty and Integrity, Value Education and Have Fun! BEWARE!!!! This clinic does not practice what they preach and I will make sure anyone and everyone I speak to regarding vet care from this day forward will know the absolute nightmare they put our pet and us through.

I am the new dog mom of an adopted Alaskan Malamute. The team at Summer Creek Animal Clinic have been very patient and understanding with my big girl, who has dog aggression. Which I only learned about after adopting her. Dr. Tucker saw my baby when I first adopted her during the pandemic. In such a difficult time, she was able to make observations during a consultation without me even being in the office. It was a little challenging but she helped us get through it. She provide me with great information on how to care for Evey along with possible behavorial and training contacts. Not to mention, the Summer Creek Animal Clinic team helped me to schedule a sedation grooming appointment where Evey's "furry" grooming demands and needs were meet with true professionalism and awesome results. As we move forward with Evey's care, my family and I take a big sigh of relief knowing that Evey is in such goods hands!

I love Summer Creek and recommend the clinic and Dr McCorkle to all my training clients. Dr. McCorkle and his staff do an excellent job making vet visits as stress free as possible . The knowledge and understanding regarding animals that suffer with anxiety and fear. Being Fear Free certified clinic is very important to me.

The clinic owner went well out of the way to accomodate for us and our unique dog, who can be very difficult to work with (especially for vets.. I'm sure they love to see her coming lol). She is a GSP and though she is a sweet dog, she can be a hassle to get to cooperate in a tiny room! I would recommend SCAC to anyone who wants the best care for their dogs. Love these guys!

My Wife and I were both extremely impressed with the care from the team. I was nervous that our Pup was going to hate it and she absolutely loved the visit! I have never seen her so calm and secure in a new environment. It is an absolutely amazing Clinic! The care and the fear free environment is amazing!

This was our second visit. Everyone was very friendly and knowledgeable. What really caught my attention was that one of the staff members remembered by second dog and she was not with us today. They took the time to answer all my questions.

I had been taking my cat Yoda to another clinic because of problems with constipation and all I got was high credit card charges and excuses. I decided to bring him to Summer Creek Animal clinic and they took care of him. They were very concerned about not stressing him out during his visit. You can tell they really do care for the furry family members. My boy is all better now thanks to Summer Creek Animal Clinic.

We could not have been happier with how our visit went. The staff was wonderful. The implementation of Fear Free methods is absolutely flawless. I couldn't praise enough. I will definitely be recommending Summer Creek to all the dog parents I possibly can.

If there were ten stars for the rating of this fine establishment, I would without a doubt select all ten stars. In fact, folks, I’m going to rate it ten stars regardless of the fact! That’s how strongly I feel about this place. I wish I’d found this gem years earlier. A few months back, we took our older Lab to another facility— one not nearly as inviting or patient. Upon our visit there, we were more or less shuffled out the door, merely given a band-aid (metaphorically speaking, of course), having gone through the motions of a veterinary visit. I don’t recall so much as receiving solid eye contact from the doc, and I was merely told, “Oh, he’s just fat, you worry too much, mom.” A few days, then a few weeks, passed, and I could no longer bare to witness my sweet boy in pain from his arthritis. Upon arriving at SummerCreek, our beloved furry boy was fighting us to go in — the staff was wonderful, they came outside to help out, not only using whip cream, but also showing what was great real, genuine care. Our boy, as do all animals, can sense this, and I think it helped to persuade him to enter tge establishment. Upon entering, they went through the usual checking his vital signs, etc. Although the covid restrictions that were intact at that point in time required only one parent to come in at a time, they called me out in the car and placed me on speakerphone during his checkup so that I could hear everything and ask my questions as well. Dr. McCorkle was extremely thorough in his inspection of our boy; his presence was warm, caring, and inviting, and we could really tell that he is absolutely and utterly passionate about his work. He reviewed every issue at hand, possible/best options, and the best options per our budget. His helping staff and employees are all equally warm and caring, equally passionate about their jobs, and despite our fur babies neurotic attitude about the vet, I think they made him feel as welcome as possible. Their “Fear-Free” policy is something that I completely agree with and adore about this clinic, as I know there are so many pets out there no doubt traumatized from quick, forced and shuffled visits at other vet clinics. Hanky (our dog) was terrified of getting his blood drawn, and after a few attempts to get him comfortable enough to take his blood, they decided that the situation was just too stressful for him, and we were scheduled to return the next day. What excellent and genuine service! Upon reading the few negative reviews about SummerCreek, let me just say that this small number of people simply had unrealistic expectations of their visit. Medical care for pets is extraordinarily expensive for pets, as it is for people. I’m sure if they could afford to take in every stray that needs medical care, they undoubtedly would. But unfortunately that’s just not an option. Maybe one day, hopefully! Until then, I recommend this place to anyone and everyone who loves their fur babies! Really and truly, ten stars!!!

My dog had a wobbly gait and was dragging her legs at times. Panicked, I called her regular vet, but unfortunately they were double booked and so were all other local vets in my area. I was about to take her to an ER (which also would’ve cost me close to $1,000). My fiancé asked if he should check near his family’s home. We were fortunate enough to find Summer creek. They worked us in and took us very seriously! They were so sweet, clean, and took the time to communicate every little detail with me. Dr. Tucker was amazing!! Also, Caleb, the vet tech she saw, was amazing with my dog and very kind and easy going. I am beyond pleased with our experience here. They definitely made a very stressful trip a little more bearable!

My 100 lb+ dog is extremely afraid of the vet and the office. Everyone who worked with him was very patient and did their best to allay his fears, resulting in a thorough exam.
