St. Francis Veterinary Clinic Fort Worth, Texas

At one point I gave this place 5 stars. But that was when my dogs were healthy and needed just the basics such as vaccines and teeth cleaning. I took my dog in because she has a fast heart beat and cough. The doctor initially gave me something for bronchitis. Then finally she said my dog has a heart murmur and CHF. Dr J gave three medications but said to slowly take her off two of them, one of them being furosemide and to keep her on the vetmedin. I sent someone to pick up the vetmedin for me and they also gave furosemide. I battled for a refund thinking she was not supposed to have it and I would need the money for the vetmedin later. The reason I did this is because Dr. J told me my dog didn't need it. And I called Dr J to confirm. Come to find out dogs in heart failure should always be in furosemide. The bottle of medicines they gave me even had the wrong date on them. They had a expiration date that was before the prescription filled date. This place is careless. Although there is no cure for a dog in heart failure, having a doctor and technicians who care and are knowledgeable will help. This is not a true vet hospital in the sense that if your pet is in critical need they can help. The staff are careless and the Dr lacks the ability to lead and follow through. I also have another dog who kept coughing when he got excited. Dr. J told me it was allergies. I took him to another doctor and they diagnosed a trachea issue. If your pet has concerning issues I would not entrust them to this place. They do not have the knowledge or expertise to treat critical issues.

All the doctors and nurses here are so friendly I've been taking my kitten there for all of her vaccines and tests and will definitely been sticking with them. Highly recommend

Aaron and Dr. J were very nice and attentive. They made sure to make my girl Koko comfortable and gave her lots treats and affection. We left our vet in Tyler after being with them over a year and I’m glad we found another great vet in Fort Worth.

Late review. This place saved our puppies life, TWICE! They really care about the animal and it shows. We had a puppy that was one pound with Parvo. Aaron and the doctor was so amazing. They cared for our little guy around the clock. We beat the parvo but then realized he need a plasma transfusion to live. Happy to say the doctor went above and beyond to help us get this done. It worked and our baby boy is now a healthy two year old. IF IT WASNT FOR THIS PLACE HE WOULD NOT BE ALIVE. THANK YOU ST FRANCIS! We are so appreciative of all that you and your vet techs have done.

I started going to St Francis around the beginning of quarantine 2020. My little (big) puppy had weird things going on and I needed him taken good care of! Dr J and the techs were so kind, attentive, and on top of it. The tech called me while I waited and got the details, letting me tell them everything I was worried about. Then J called me and literally diagnosed my dog with me! She went over every test she was considering, and why she did or did not advise each one. She made me feel very involved and in control of my dog's care. This happened each follow up visit as well as the follow up phone calls. Today I took my older dog in for his yearly exam and vaccines, and she was just as attentive and involved! The entire staff and Dr J are so amazing and kind, so involved and thorough while staying highly professional, I will never stop recommending this clinic! Love them and trust them absolutely!

Just got a new Lab mix puppy and was in search for a vet. My community recommended this place and boy oh boy was they right. Talking with Shugar (she was the first impression and that's important) was everything on the phone. Everyone who works at this location is beyond amazing and I will be switching my older dog over to St Francis.

We were waiting for pet export certificate almost for 4 weeks this guys did all that's necessary work and last hour before last appointment they said they can't issue one because of the destination country four days before our flight seems to me like they don't know what they're doing

We were in a tough situation in dealing with an autoimmune disease with our Bearded Collie. After being with another vet for years and recently not getting satisfactory care, we tried Dr. Jamarillo. We will never look back. The best vet, the nicest clinic and staff ever! We live out of the country, but will continue on with them when we travel up with our pup. I am always calmed by the fact that I have a trustworthy vet for our Stout in Fort Worth. Love and miss you folks so much!! Thank you for being the best. ????

Dr.J and Sugar are so so amazing. I’ve been going to Dr.J for about six years now and I will never change. Dr.J helped me through a very long term care process with my nine year old guinea pig. She was so supportive and caring. We now see Dr.J for our Siberian husky and we always feel so loved! They are amazing with him. Most dogs get nervous going to the vet, but just this week when we went Maxwell was pleased to see everyone. If you are searching for a new vet and come across this post, GO SEE Dr.J ????

I'm honestly so appreciative of everyone here. I was jumping around vet to vet for months because my pets were both vomitting consistently and constantly yet every other place, even my cat's previous owners' regular vet told me it was nothing. Then I found these guys through a discount plan I got (Pet Assure, they accept it because they're great). They used the same blood test as the previous vet and found what was going on. Turns out they both have a chronic illness. From there, they worked with me and walked me through things, adapting to mistakes I made due to not understanding a couple of things due to not having prior knowledge of how to care for pets effectively. They were so helpful and understanding throughout the whole process. I love these guys so much that even though I moved an hour away, I only trust them to make sure my pets get their food (prescription) through this COVID pandemic. So I still drive 1 hour every couple of months to pick it up. Basically I cannot recommend this place enough. Best vet in the area that I could find.

Always bring your pets here. They go above and beyond to make your pet happy and healthy. Truly they did more for our new pet then any other vet would. Thank you everyone at St. Francis. You're a blessing. From our family and our new dog Loki.

Would recommend going elsewhere for veterinary services. Misdiagnosed a very common illness in which they wanted to hospitalize our four month old pup for. Had we not listened to our gut about this misdiagnosis, we would have lost him. A different veterinarian figured out what was wrong within two minutes and then validated their diagnosis with a simple test. The rest of the staff and boarding are great, but we have zero confidence in the veterinary clinic.

Was supposed to have a follow up on an interview time and date. Never received a call or email. Very disappointed.

Best vet ever. Dr. J cares about your animal and keeps you informed on what could be happening with your pet.

I have brought my dog here twice. Everyone here is so great. Dr. Jaramillo is the best! I love how she brings in a rug to do exams for my pup on the floor. It makes him so much more comfortable. You can tell everyone here genuinely loves animals and their job.

I can't recommend this place enough! Dr J is extremely caring and passionate about animals. She is empathetic and takes her time to explain the process. I have used this clinic for vet care and boarding facilities and my dogs run towards the entrance every time. Aaron is amazing and will keep you in stitches! I went for Dr. J's specialty care, but stayed for Aaron's jokes. I feel confident knowing my pups are well taken care of on their visits to this facility!

We love St. Francis! Our dog especially loves it, as we board her and occasionally take her for doggy day care here as well. Everyone on the staff is exceptional, and they show how much they care about animals and their welfare. We highly recommend this vet!

So grateful to the entire staff here but especially Dr. Jaramillo, who takes excellent care of my pet and happily answers every question I have and doesn't push things on me that I don't want or need. The building is clean and bright, professional but friendly. I wouldn't think of taking my pets anywhere else.

They saved our pups life! We had gone to a vet er near there and they would not prescribe any meds unless we ran several panels. We asked if they could just give him something to relax him because he was very very uncomfortable and they did not. We went to St Francis and they started only checking for things that could actually be wrong opposed to several complete panels. DR Jaramillo and her staff took great care of us and really worked to help. It seems more of a warm feeling when you walk in opposed to some places. We were worried our dog had days to live, but DR J figured out real quick what the vet ER couldnt and set him up on meds to get him back doing well. They also gave him meds to make him more comfortable, this DR truly cares. I began taking my other two dogs there, that is the only place I will go! We are very happy there!
