When my dog was very sick my son was keeping Hachi for me. They gave him some meds I came and stayed with my son so someone could be here at all times with the dog. He was getting really bad and found out that he had cancer. We wound up putting him to sleep. So both my son and I could spend some time with him the animal hospital off Bryant Irvin and they asked if we wanted to be there when they put him to sleep and explained to us what all of the needles were sticking out of his legs. They are very considerate and did what the family wished. The staff was awesome!!

We adopted a dog and she is in perfect health! Animal Hope is a great organization and I would definitely think about adopting a dog from here rather than buying a dog at a puppy mill.

We adopted my son's ESA here and it was the best choice for our family. All the babies here, both big and small, had so much love to give. If you're a family looking for a loving addition to your family are interested in adopting, Animal Hope made the process so smooth and easy for us. Special thanks to Bailey who was the best to my son. We appreciate all you guys are doing here.

Tried to charge me 800$ For a pet adoption fee. At that rate you could buy a puppy. Sounds to me like a scam and they don’t want these poor dogs and cats to go any where.

They act on a high horse while standing in the trenches. 1. Place is dirty. 2. They will change your appointment time and not tell you. 3. They don't potty train their animals, and they didn't tell me the dog wasn't potty trained. 4. When I returned the dog, I was emotional and distraught, and the man said that the only way to potty train a dog is by a crate, which is not true. 5. I was upset, and the man acted passive aggressive with his attitude and tone of voice when he said to "have a good day". 6. I have spoken to other shelters, and they told me they have had people complain to them about this same business. 7. I hope more people speak their minds about the businesses lack of professionalism and basic animal handling.

ITS A SCAM!!! I filled out an application to rescue a pup and let them know that I own my home with a huge yard and fence, I work short hours only 4 days a week and I'm looking for a best friend for my 6 year old son to grow up with and I was not approved... I also had to waste $15 for them to tell me I'm not approved. It's a scam, don't waste your money!!

I have went up there to foster a dog and found out he's very big gentle dog who needs some attention and love. I'm so happy to be a foster mom to so many animals who need help.

Had a very horrible experience first of all is hidden well in the back of some Office Buildings off of Hulen okay no problem with that I smell a strong stench not just regular pic smell but a stronger stance as I walk towards the door. A little boy probably no older than six comes to the door the doors locked on both sides of what it appears to be some sort of entrance it was still business hours pets and dogs was running all throughout it would not let me in she answered the door with the door have cracked with pets running around everywhere. Just an overall horrible experience the lady finally came to the door very rude trust me if you need a dog or a cat or any other pet you can go to Lancaster or the one in Benbrook there they are amazing!

Very rude woman - treated me like garbage just for asking “how can I adopt a pet from here?”. Clearly inept and incompetent on every answer she gave me. Was demeaning and not very intelligent. The place was dirty and they have unfriendly people. Would not recommend this place…

I found a litter or abandoned kittens at my apt complex and tried for over a month to surrender them. I kept getting the run around and told to call back in a week when they had more availability. On the 6th week I just posted them to Facebook and adopted them out the same day because I had no help and no resources; I work long days and many at a time it wasn’t fair for me or the kittens. Makes me second guess helping abandoned animals. Next time I’ll just call animal control or the non emergency number.

Me and my girlfriend adopted our dog Bam (formally Ban) from Animal Hope in Fort Worth. The adoption process was simple and easy and there were no unnecessary hurdles to jump through. They seem to truly care about connecting animals and people, and ensure that the adoption process reflects that sentiment. We would 100% recommend!

This is where we ended up getting our newest addition to our family, Remy. We started here, went to about 5 other shelters and ended up here again. They are a good place to go if your looking for a new canine friend, especially a small one.( apparently small dogs are popular) Their process is a little different than most though. You cannot just show up and expect to look at animals. Be sure you call or go online to make an appt to see the animal your interested in. They started this process because of Covid but saw the dogs, especially, were less stressed so they will be continuing to use this process. Also their adoption fee is a little pricey but it is worth it because you get the animal, their vaccines, microchiped, a bag of food, spay or neutered, and their first vet visit at the animal hospital next door. Remy is precious and we love her so much. I would highly recommend Animal Hope to anyone.

Hello, is there a chance that you guys have pomeranians? -Molly

I adopted an adult male Pomeranian from them and he's been the most sweetest loving caring companion a lonely single adult like myself could ever ask for. They seemed to have taken really good care of him and they knew how to answer the questions I asked as I adopted him. Thanks Animal Hope, Chip has been a very good friend!

Animal Hope is a great place filled with caring, hardworking people who make an incredibly positive impact in the community. We have had a Hoper dog for 4 years and just brought home our second. We have experienced first hand the compassion and care the staff treats their animals and adopters with. All of our friends and family have gone to Animal Hope to adopt their companion animals. The facility is well maintained and they work hard to make the shelter experience as least stressful as possible for their resident animals. Their adoption fees pale in comparison to the veterinary care they provide for each and every animal. I will recommend this place to everyone!

A little over a year ago before the pandemic started, I got my little buddy from here! His name’s Reggie, I’m not sure if the staff remember him, but they were so kind and helpful while we were looking for a Chihuahua to adopt.

I couldn’t speak more highly of this rescue organization. We found our adorable Chiweenie there. Bailey and Chelsey were on top of things; they have excellent organization skills and were extremely professional. The night we met our little guy he hadn’t had everything done to be taken home. I told Chelsey I would be back the next day at a certain time, and they had him bathe and all paperwork ready for me. It only took 15 minutes and I was on my way to back to work. And to all the people complaining, please factor in the costs of shots, spay or neutering, micro chipping and food/care.

Speaking out as an employee of a pet store where we adopt out cats that come from animal hope. Owner Ben does not truly care about the animals well-being. I used to work at petsupermarket in colleyville up until recently when I quit due to the animal neglect I witnessed in my store and also from animal hope. We have cats in our store from animal hope that we adopt out and 10 out of 10 there is always something wrong with them or they are sick because of the lack of care animal hope shows. The only thing that animal hope does when they get a cat or any animal is take them to a very cheap very shady location to be neutered or spayed and then drop them off at some store to be adopted. we have one cat at our store in particular that has had diarrhea and worms and been vomiting for the past 5 days. I brought it to the attention of the animal hopes staff and they did not care I brought it to the attention of my managers at my own store and they did not care. it got to the point where I took it upon myself to call a 24-hour animal shelter and I almost took the cat there taking on the full responsibility of the vet bills right then and there because I did not want to see this cat die due to the lack of care animal Hope and my management staff showed. when owner Ben finally showed up he was extremely rude he insinuated that nothing was wrong with the cat and that he didn't think his presence was needed but took the cat anyways and threw him in the back of his van and took off. it is extremely concerning and inappropriate to see the owner of an animal shelter show up to pick up a cat as if picking up a cat in peril was such an inconvenience to him. This is not the first second or even third time that animal hope has displayed animal neglect towards the cats in our store. if anything I would recommend you to adopt every single animal in animal hope and save them from a staff and owner who does not care about them.

Do NOT arrive without an appointment. They will not make room for you. We called repeatedly and were unable to reach someone. Leave a message. Play WAY ahead.

We adopted our forever fur puppy from here today. These people were beyond amazing! We went to about 10 other shelters and they blew all those shelters out of the water. They truly care for all the animals and treat them as family. They made sure we understand the whole adoption process and what kind of personality our puppy had. This is the go to if you’re looking for your new companion. Our puppy gets along so well with our daughter and the rest of the family. So happy!
