Our sweet dog was sick the other night and we ended up taking him to this facility. We called ahead, did our paperwork in our car and then went in with our dog. Being a lifelong pet owner and visiting animal ER's at night you kind of know what to expect. You may be waiting a long time and they are doing the best that they can to manage emergencies. They were able to get our dog in and out fairly quickly. The front desk was friendly as was the tech. Dr. Atkinson was our vet and she was very knowledgeable and kind. She gave us options and we felt very confident with her medical advice. I would not hesitate to go there again.

Absolutely AMAZING!!! All the vets and nurses are soo kind and actually know how to handle cats!!! SERIOUSLY! They know how to handle cats and it amazing!! They are so patient, understanding, and loving. They treat the pets as if they were their own! If there was any emergency I am 10000% coming back! ALSO FLOWER MOUND ER, are much cheaper than that incompetent Blue Pearl Emergency Clinic. Definitely coming back for emergencies!

The entire Team is great! We appreciate you and all that you do to help our babies. Zane was very helpful and Dr. Armstrong was amazing - the whole team - we thank you!

Our puppy ate 10 grapes, which are poison to dogs. I think it can cause liver failure. We had to get his stomach pumped. They saw him immediately. They got all 10 grapes out. It only took about 15 minutes. Cost was $300. I guess that is par for emergency services like this.

Going to an emergency pet clinic is never a good situation. These guys were great! I can't say enough good things about the Vet, who's name I can not remember because I spoke to her in the middle of the night, but she did a wonderful job diagnosing our dog's problem, explaining it to us more than once so that we would understand it and from finding a treatment for our very old dog. Support staff was also sold. Very professional, courteous and polite. They made sure we had zero concerns, questions or issues before we left. I would also add that the bill was considerable cheaper than I was expecting.

We were able to get in ***relatively*** quickly on Sunday evening for our dog's hurt leg/hip. After calling to make sure they had availability, we went straight there with our hurt baby in tow. Thanks to all of the pre-you know what logic that's completely left most of this earth, we pulled up to a parking spot and called the number. A lady came out with paperwork and said she'd be back in 10 minutes to collect it. I filled it out in 4, and we waited. She came back, got it, and said a nurse would call us soon to get the information about what's going on with our pup. So we waited a bit more. Someone (possibly the same paperwork lady?) called to get the info, then said we could all come inside. There was no one else in the clinic that we could see (full visibility across the front of the place). So we all went inside and waited in a tiny room. They took our sweet little dog back to get her vitals and it was confusing because ... why couldn't they do all of this in the exam room? Anyway, fast forward, about 45 minutes more of waiting and a misdiagnosis, piled on with a few hundred bucks worth of pain meds, nerve meds and crating her for two weeks as a suggestion, in which we politely declined most of. They were nice enough, but I'm very grateful this wasn't a genuine emergency, because the speed and lack of logic applied in their process of checking in and getting patients inside.

Very pleased. I have had to rush my dog there twice in the last 6 months - and they were very thorough with their diagnosis and very loving to my pet. I highly recommend this group.

Yesterday (Sunday Nov. 7) my girlfriend discovered that our fur baby, Toodles the cat, was vomitting blood each time he tried to eat. We were terrified. Given that it was a Sunday, our normal vet was closed and we didn't know how serious the problem might be. We quickly found the FM Emergency Pet Clinic on google and called them for information. They let us know we could drive there immediately and be helped on a first-come, first-serve basis. There appeared to be several other pet patients there and they were still able to see us within 30 minutes of arriving at the clinic, which we were very happy about. We expressed our concerns about Toodles' symptoms but also explained that we are very tight on money and were concerned about the price, as well. They not only offered us multiple options to consider for payments plans (through respectable third-part lenders), but they also worked with us to find a far more affordable treatment than the x-ray and surgery we were anticipating. They gave Toodles an injection of medication and instructed us how to keep an eye on his progress so that we could bring him to our normal vet on Monday if necessary. Luckily, this did not become necessary and the medication is working! Toodles appears to be feeling much better, eating and drinking normally again without vomitting. I cannot thank you all enough at this clinic, you saved our Toodles and you also saved us from a very difficult financial situation. I cannot be happier with my visit and I will highly recommend this emergency clinic to anyone who might need it.

If I could give zero stars, I would have. This is NOT a 24 hour vet as stated. When we attempted to reach someone by phone at 3:00 A.M. they kept hanging up on us, FIVE TIMES IN A ROW! I can not say if their services are any good as they never received my call due to lack of professionalism.

This facility is top notch. You can tell that all the staff truly care for the animals and their human owners. It took a while to get in but once we were there they took great care with my baby girl. The doctor was very thorough and took the time to explain everything in a clear concise way that I understood. The tech was so gentle and kind with my pet and really tried to make her feel comfortable.

The Team at FMEPC was great. They quickly got us in to be seen and kept us informed the whole time while our pup was being taken care of. When we were discharged they were very through with instructions on how to continue to care for our pup with meds and food etc. While I hope we don't have to go back, I will feel better knowing we have this great care resource available.

The team and Dr was amazing. The care and concern they had for my dog while treating her was comforting to me as I was very worried. They took their time working on her and explaining to me everything that was done and what I needed to do to continue caring for my pet at home.

Everyone we interacted with was so helpful and so very sweet to my puppy. I hope I never have to visit them again, but if we have another pet emergency, this is definitely where we would go. Thanks so much for the help and fantastic care of my pupper!

Dr. Atkinson and Alexis for a very professional visit and taking the time to explain everything in detail. Very compassionate towards animals and people. Thank you

If your pet has an emergency, you shouldn't have to wait in the parking lot for an hour just to be let into the building. If your pet truly has an emergency, find another pet hospital.

Completely mishandled the situation when my dog passed and was cremated. We were given the option for different paw print ornaments when my dog unexpectedly passed away in May 2021, so we requested clay paw prints be made. Flower Mound Emergency Pet Clinic did not fill out the paperwork correctly when they sent her to the partner facility to be cremated. When we went to pick up her remains, we asked where the clay paw prints were. The clinic then lied and said that they filled out the paperwork correctly (they assured us of this multiple times) and that the clay paw prints must have been left at the other facility. A few days later they called and revealed they had looked at their paperwork again and the clay paw print option was never checked off correctly when they sent over the paperwork, so the clay paw prints were never made. It was heartbreaking, like losing her all over again. Now all we have left of my poor baby is her ashes and an ink print of her paw on a card that the clinic provided. If you decide to go here, please be so careful and ask them for a copy of the paperwork so you can verify it yourself before it's too late. To their credit, they refunded the price of the cremation and offered to purchase other memorial items to make up for it; but the damage has already been done. Nothing can replace her precious paw prints.

Because of their ability to listen and offer a step by step approach to how to care for our pet. They were not dismissive snd validated our concerns. It was the 3rd bet we had been to that day and was best.

Took out sick cat tonight and first of all you have to stay in your car and call in. Then they come out and tell you it could be two hours before they can see you. Only one dr avail in an animal emergency hospital. So now we have to see how he does tonight and try to get him in to his regular vet in the am. Not happy with this place

Everyone was very friendly and welcoming, Dr. Phelan explained everything very well and answered all of my questions, as did the nurse Kim. NO ONE pressured me into anything, & the treatment I chose turned out to be the best option for my cat (& my wallet!). I would recommend this clinic to any pet owner I know! Thanks for taking such good care of Smokie!

Our pup went into (what we now know was) anaphylactic shock in our backyard. It was terrifying and we called them as we rushed her to the pet clinic. They were so responsive and took care of her instantly. When we pulled in the parking lot they had a gurney ready to go and rushed her to the back to start treating her. They kept coming over to us to keep us updated on how she was doing and to explain everything that was happening. They even let me give her a hug when she was stabilized. So grateful to say our pup made it thanks to the quick response and teamwork of the clinic team.

Our almost 13 year old dog has laryngeal paralysis and could barely breathe after getting too warm on a Sunday night, so we rushed him to Flower Mound Emergency Pet Clinic. Right away they brought a gurney to our vehicle and took him inside to work on getting his temperature down, which was dangerously high. They managed to safely lower his body temp. and calm him down so he could breathe normally. He stayed overnight for observation and the next morning when we picked him up, amazingly, he walked out on his own!. The doctor and staff were professional & informative. They saved his life and we're so incredibly grateful!

It was a busy night, and we weren't able to go into the building for over an hour as all of the exam rooms were full with other customers and their pets. Our dog, however, was taken in immediately and some lab techs checked her over while we waited in the car. Not really thrilled with the restrictions placed on families in not being able to wait in the waiting room, but we do understand. Fortunately, our dog didn't have anything life threatening that they were able to find; and we were advised to have her seen by our own vet the next day to run some tests. Unfortunately, an appointment wasn't available for nearly a week at our vet's office. So far, so good though.

When you have a last minute pet emergency and all the regular vets say “make an appointment “ Flower Mound Emergency says “come right now!”

Was able to bring my dog in almost immediately, just had to wait for the desk person to input data. They looked at my dog, took vitals, and performed a thorough examination and answered my questions in non-doctor speak. I would definitely bring any of my pets to this location in the future. Thank you so much!
