I've brought my fur babies here for the last 12 years. Kelly and Gus are so good with the animals and are professional, kind and they really care.

Do you need dental work for your feline or canine friend? Then this is definitely the place to get the best deal and service. They are quite flexible when it comes to accommodating your availability needs. They were willing to do both the evaluation and surgical procedure same day. We dropped off at 10 am and picked our dog up at 4 pm. We felt the price, for the amount of work done, was extremely reasonable. Vets and staff are friendly. Great place! 5⭐

This place is amazing! I woke up to my cat acting strangely, then later noticed one of her teeth had fallen out. I live nearby so I called to see if they had any openings. Fortunately for me they had a cancellation and were able to see her the same day. Everyone was very kind and professional. Although she needed multiple extractions, I thought the price was very reasonable. Aside from some (totally normal) post surgery drooling, she already seems back to normal after only a few hours. I'm really happy to have found this place and will be taking my cats here as long as I live in the Dallas area.

Absolutely wonderful! Prices are good, but the staff is best. They’ve gone above and beyond to help my kitties, and I couldn’t be more thankful!

First visit and Jim was very nice. He was very patient and he listened. He knew I was very frustrated. He explained everything to me step by step. Now get this, when we finished, he didn’t charge me a dime. What a angel he is. Don’t let me leave out the office staff, they were very nice and professional. I would highly recommend this veterinarian dental office.

This place is really geared more towards dogs. They gave my cat an antibiotic that is dangerous for cats to have and I am currently at emergency animal hospital Collin county. Finally getting the care at the emergency hospital that I tried to seek out at veterinary dental.

I hate to give bad review, but i will tell the truth. I wouldn't go back there. There are many vet options or there that will NOT talk back away you arrogantly like they did to me few years ago...

Such a great experience. Thank you for being incredibly professional, quick, easy going, and honest. The front door may have a few dog scratches but that should show you how many people trust them with their pets. 10/10

Such a great first experience! Everyone was so welcoming and professional. My dog gets super anxious in new places and the vet took time to calm her down. Such nice people.

I had a cat with leukemia and stomatitis. I didn't want to remove all her teeth because that doesn't guarantee the stomatitis will go away. I took Karma (the cat) to this clinic and I cannot begin to tell you how magnificent they are. Only a couple of teeth were extracted and medicine was compounded each month for her based on her weight and needs. She turned into a magnificent cat with minimal dental issues. Today I took a new cat, Felix, to the clinic for the exact same thing. He has leukemia and stomatitis. They are working him up today. I wouldn't ever think to take my cats with dental issues anywhere else. They treat me and my animals like family. HIGHLY RECOMMEND THEM - ALL THE TIME.

This place is awesome! I took my 10 year old chihuahua mix(10lbs)here and they absolutely knocked it out the park. They had to extract all her teeth due to the fact that my poor girl had numerous abscesses and bone loss which was irreversible. Again as I said Home Run! My baby is doing much better she’s back to her normal bratty needy self and it’s only been 5 days since the surgery. This place is amazing. From the moment I got there the owner Jim was so friendly and caring. Really paying attention to my concerns with her being an older dog. He was very reassuring and helpful. The technician Gus is awesome Very informative and thorough. Dr. Shaffer does amazing work. Plus before I left she gave me some pointers on how to look after her and the do’s and don’ts of post oral op care.(Everyone there was very helpful when we were being discharged) Even all the way to Kelly the receptionist who did my discharge papers. They were all kind and thoughtful. They even arranged someone to be there an hour early to receive my puppy and even stayed late so I can pick her up. AWESOME!!! Not to mention the THE PRICE!!!! At least 1,000 to 1,500 cheaper then I could find anywhere else. I really can’t believe I found this place. It really is an amazing, caring, professional environment. Plus they’ve been doing it for a long time so they really know what they are doing. Fyfty plus years I believe. I really recommend this place to anyone looking to get their doggies teeth fixed and cleaned. They’re the best at what they do and they genuinely care. I honestly believe that. Thank you so much Veterinary Dental!!! You guys are AMAZING!!!

Dr. Shaffer and the whole team at Vet Detal are awesome. I have been going there for years and they are extremely compassionate and caring for all of our animals. The pricing is extremely reasonable as well as I have been to several vets in DFW. They even sent flowers and a card when my dog passed away. Thanks for all that you do Gus, Jim and Dr. Shaffer!

All I can say is my boy needed teeth extracted and I went to three places for consults including my current Vet. The staff here were extraordinarily patient in explaining the procedures, why it was needed and how we cannot always see how bad things are with a full exam. Losing over 10 teeth seemed to me to be ending my dog's life but they made sure I was aware of everything they did and why - they even took video and pictures. Now, not only was my dog ,mobile the same day but he has recovered playfulness, energy and is jumping and running more than he has in a year. It is clear he feels so much better. My gratefulness cannot be expressed enough.

**Attention flat face dog owners** I was a nervous wreck thinking about putting my frenchie under anesthesia. I have heard some scary stories so getting his teeth cleaned was always an anxiety for me. From the moment I dropped by baby off I felt comfortable. They took great care of him, text me during the cleaning to let me know everything was going well and communicated with me the entire time he was under. When I picked him up, he was like his normal self before I dropped him off post extractions too. I am very very happy with how things went and how my baby was taken care of. I highly recommend this dental practice for all fur babies!

This has to be one of the most traumatic experiences for our dog. We rescued our dog about a week ago and need to have his nails trimmed. So, we took the advice of the shelter and booked an appointment with their vet. When our dog was returned to us he was bloody on both paws. The Vet and their team had cut the nails too short causing him to bleed. Our dog was scared and traumatized. They did not even bandage him up UNTIL I asked for them to do so. I am so very disappointed in the customer service, the people skills, and the overall willingness to not provide the best care for our pet. I just wished they would have stopped and said "he is too anxious today, see if he can calm down and bring him back". I would have respected that and appreciated it. Instead, they didn't and ended up hurting our dog in the process. He's a rescue so these kind of experiences DO matter. We won't be back and we will be sure to let the shelter know as well.

Dont judge them on their building. They don't focus on looks, but rather providing quality dental care at a reasonable price. They have great hearts and truly care about your pet. My Yorkie not only had to have all remaining teeth pulled but also needed 2 oroantral fistula repairs (grafting). My Vet quoted nearly 3 times what I paid at Veterinary Dental. My husband refused to spend that kind of money and suggested leave them be or put her down. I'm grateful, as that price avoided the other 2 options. Only draw back is that there is no follow up on their end, so it is owner's responsibility to keep up with after care and contacting them. But they do provide after hour vet number if any post surgery issues and very willing to answer all your questions.
