My dog is a frequent flyer here due to chronic conditions and I have received excellent care for over a year. They do not try to drain your bank account and help me to get discounts on pricey medications. They can typically get my pup in on the same day or within 48 hrs when she has issues. In addition, all of their staff members are EXTREMELY polite and helpful. You should definitely bring your fur babies here!

Best veterinarian in the Dallas area! Mandy and the rest of the team there are so knowledgeable and good with animals. Truly the best vet experience I have had with my pups and my cat. Thank you guys so much for everything you do to keep my loved ones safe and healthy. You rock!!

I have been taking my pets to Katy Trail since 2008ish. The are friendly, knowledgeable, professional, great at diagnostics, and kind. They have taken great care of my cats.

Would not recommend. The staff is nice enough, but it seems that as a company, they care more about $ than taking care of your pets. It happened on more than one occasion that they "squeezed" my dog in, but failed to tell me that the appt was not a full appointment, as I had requested. The last visit I made there with my dog a month ago, I specifically requested a fecal sample (due to his chronic loose stool) to be taken and they did not do it "because he'd had one last October". We were just sent home with an Rx of Flagyl which was supposed to "fix it right up". Well, it didn't. He ended up getting worse and worse until I finally had to take him to the emergency vet, and 10 days later I had to have him euthanized. My brother and sister-in-law had similar issues and neither of us will ever step foot in another VCA hospital. Added to that their DRACONIAN measures of requiring masks and not allowing pet owners in, I'm done with them...just ridiculous. Find another vet who actually cares.

They are the best! Been bringing my senior pup to them for 5 years now and they are very sweet to him even though he's always super nervous (and a bit snappy). Always top notch care and every doctor I've worked with explains everything completely, listens compassionately, and addresses every concern no matter how small. You never feel rushed even when they are booked solid. They always get me in last-minute when something unexpected arises, too. Love this place! Very safe protocols thru the pandemic as well. Curbside check-in is a breeze and you can pay by text. Highly recommended!

These guys are incredible. My dog had been really lazy yesterday and then he threw up twice around 4:30. We moved to Dallas about two weeks ago and I started calling to see if anyone had available to see us last minute. I called a couple places and another vet recommended me here. By the time I called them it was 4:40, but they were able to squeeze us in for a 5 o’clock appointment. My dog has severe separation anxiety and they allowed me to wait in the room with him before they took him back to give him a shot for nausea and check blood work. When they brought him back you could already tell he felt better. The vet told me she would call me back first thing this morning with his lab results. Sure enough 7:30 rolls around and I get a call from his vet. There’s a lot to be said for people that not only do everything they can to accommodate you (even if it’s short notice), but back up their words with actions. For any other vet needs, we’ll be back at VCA Katy Trail.

Very accommodating. Was out from out of state when my dog was suffering. They made room the same day and sent her off gently. Thanks yall.

Just had a wonderful experience with Dr. Morchower. We recently relocated and needed a new vet for our older dog who has some reoccurring issues. She was very informative and really took the time to explain her diagnoses, medications and recommendations moving forward. They included a complimentary nail trim which is always appreciated as well as free first dose of a heart worm medication. As a new patient we also received a little goody bag with treats, etc for both our pups. Overall a really great experience from the staff answering phones, techs and the vet.

I will always recommend this hospital to anyone in Dallas. My family followed Dr. Murray (and Dr. Waller) about 20-25 years ago from a clinic on Lovers Lane to Katy Trail. Although Dr. Murray has retired, my family has trusted the entire staff of Katy Trail with all of our animals. Dr. Johnson is also an absolute delight and saw me through losing my boy to cancer. Even when my other dog was struggling with behavioral issues after his death, I was able to contact her for counsel. She has always graciously tolerated all of my 27 million questions during each of my visits. You can trust them to be up on the latest research and treatments and to be honest about the testing and medications your kid needs. I haven’t met all of the new doctors but I’m comfortable saying that I trust anyone who gets hired there, from the front desk, to the techs, to the VAs, to the doctors. I’ve always had an excellent experience there with every single staff member. I’ve since moved for work, but my 71 yo mom still goes there and refuses to take her business anywhere else.

I love VCA Katy Trail! They give my cats excellent care, are always so friendly and professional, and make things as easy as possible. I’m so happy I found them when I moved to Dallas! Highly recommend.

We have taken our pets too Katy Trail for years and years. The staff is amazing. Would not consider taking my dog and cat anywhere else.

I enjoyed using the katy trail animal hospital for several years (as they make picking up medicine and making appts very easy). It wasn't until I had a $600 bill and a dead dog that I realized how completely useless this clinic was. It has been a year since the absolute worst day of my life and I regret ever stepping foot in this place.

Called for an emergency appointment because of my dog having a rash under his arm. He has an appointment Friday and the man on the phone shows no concern or empathy. Poor customer experience.

Great service. Curbside drop off and pickup during the Covid-19 pandemic is a huge plus.

I went here for years, I knew Dr. Colleen Murray before she built Katy Trail Animal Hospital. I moved away from Dallas 3 years ago, I’m back now and I see that my beloved vet clinic has been sold to VCA!! I hate VCA! When I move and am looking for a new vet I intentionally avoid VCA owned clinics. When Dr. Murray opened Katy Trail Animal Hospital it was the best thing Dallas had seen in years! Dr. Murray built an incredible facility and staffed it with the cream of the crop. I don’t know if any of the same staff is there because the Meet the Staff link on the awful VCA website doesn’t work. I hate to leave them a 1 Star review but it’s just not the same clinic anymore. The 1 Star isn’t meant for Dr. Murray and her dream clinic, it’s for the VCA corporation!!

The vets here are wonderful! I’ve been taking my German Shepherd here for the last 6 years and we love it.

Dr Waller is amazing. She's an excellent vet.

They really care about cats. Some vets are more dog centered but every very I've seen here has been really good to my cats.

Their health treatments and continuous support network are matched by no other animal hospitals we’ve ever experienced. We appreciate the entire staff for their prompt, kind, and knowledgeable attention. Our pup loves going to the vet and we love knowing that he’s getting the care he needs, when he needs it.

I wont take my pets anywhere else as long as I live in Dallas. Especially Dr. Snyder. They have been great from the day we brought our dog's in, and i would recommend them to anyone. :)

I love our new vet! Preston took care of us the other day! Lilly Claire needed a mani pedi in the worst way - and I was panicking bc I had let her nails grow out way too long, but he assured me that she was in good hands. She never got nervous, and they did a marvelous job! We are going for our checkup tomorrow as we just moved here from Del Mar and are finally getting a local veterinarian- Dr. Johnson is who we are scheduled to see:).
