Dr. Amanda Henry and every veterinarian here has been amazing. They're informative and discuss all your options, so you can make the best decision for your pet. I have a senior dog that she has helped me to manage his senior care and heart issues. They are worth every penny.

I accidentally called them instead of our regular vets (oops! we don't actually live in Dallas). The woman on the phone was extremely knowledgeable and helpful anyways! I really appreciate the professionalism and patience of this veterinary hospital! :)

Took my dog to Highland Park Animal Hospital about 1 1/2 months ago because he had an emergency spine injury and we live close by. Vet took about 5 minutes diagnosing him, immediately referred us to a partner emergency surgery center. We took the vets advice and took him in that day for the IVDD surgery which cost $7,000 which I'm sure some of that $ went to HPAH for the referral... long story short, I never received so much as a call from HPAH, no follow up, no concern for my dogs well being, nothing. Terrible customer service, seems like it was all about the $$$$$ as we were basically told he needs surgery right away or he’ll never walk again. Will never go back.

Dr. Henry and the staff are fantastic. Always come and retrieve both of my pups in a timely manner and then call me to discuss everything. They've been nothing but kind since I started taking one of my dogs there four years. Highly recommend; especially Dr. Henry.

It's been a year since my cat was put down due to kidney cancer. I've thought about whether to post a review or not, but my experience with this animal hospital was unacceptable. Do not go here if you'd like for your animal to receive treatment for the underlying cause, not the symptoms. When my cat first showed symptoms of cancer, which was an eye infection, Dr. V provided eye drops because that "works most of the time". This isn't a diagnosis! Two more trips to this hospital, followed by a referral to the Eye Clinic off Fitzhugh, with two more trips for eye drops, then a repeat trip back to HP Animal Hospital - three weeks had passed and I had spent $3.5K on treatment and referral visits. That's when the non-PhD customer, yes that's me, recommended a chest x-ray to discover the cause behind the symptoms. A trip to an oncologist confirmed the cancer results. End result would have been the same, but my cat would've gotten better treatment, more quickly, without the circus, upcharges, industry referrals without regard to cost or animal well-being. It's unfortunate because I've heard positive things about other doctors at this hospital, just not "Dr." Vargo. Will never return for that reason.

We are so happy to have found a caring place to take our dogs. The desk staff, vet techs and vets are great to work with. Our dogs see both Dr. Vargo and Dr. Henry and are given top notch care and keep us well informed on our dogs' treatments.

We absolutely love taking our dog to Highland Park Animal Hospital and Dr. Hudson. We have a goldendoodle puppy that we have been taking here since we got him, and he gets SO excited to visit the vet, that speaks wonders to the staff. Across his puppy shots, the staff all recognized our pup and how much he was growing across the few months. Would recommend anyone with a dog or puppy who wants a vet that knows you, your dog and a great experience for your pup - look no further than Highland Park Animal Hospital.

I've met all of the vets and they are all amazing! The staff is friendly, caring, and obviously enjoy where they work. I wouldn't dream of going any where else!

HPAH has been a great change up from my usual animal clinic. I used to go to another one around here, but was always faced with extremely long appts, waiting for sometimes three hours for an answer of what's going on with my GSD's stomach issues. Since switching to HPAH, I have received impeccable care, great pricing despite being in Highland Park, and I always see the most adorable puppies in here. I'm always taken back within minutes of waiting and they do most of the testing on site which keeps my appointments fast and reliable. Plus, I love the adoptable cat room, the kitties there are so sweet and fun to play with! I've personally met all the Doctors there, and they are all so friendly and approachable. Dr. Wright is who my German Shepherd sees and I have 0 complaints, but if I could use all the docs I would! You really can't go wrong here. Plus, the hospital is gorgeous and well maintained. There's always nice cars in the parking lot which explains the kind of clientele drawn here. Overall, very pleased with this hospital and plan to be a client for years to come!

I am so happy bringing my fur baby to HPAH. I originally was going to Hillside and was not happy there, but it was close so I dealt with it. Thankfully, I met Dr. Glen Hudson and started going to Highland Park Animal Hospital. I wish I had switched sooner! My dog used to be terrified to go to the vet. He knew the parking lot at Hillside and would FREAK OUT. Now, he gets excited when we pull up to HPAH! I NEVER thought that would happen. Dr. Hudson knows the needs of your pet and treats them like they are his own. He is honest and gentle and is truly remarkable. Candi is truly amazing! She always remember's my dogs name even though he isn't there quite often and always greets him with such excitement. Here are some of the services they offer that truly stand out to me: - In-House Lab Testing: Having an in-house lab gives them the capability to diagnose and treat your pet as accurately and efficiently as possible. From heart-worm testing to full blood chemistry panels, urine testing and microscopic evaluation of tissues and samples, they are able to get a total picture of your pet's health within minutes, not days. - Laser Therapy - Radiology - Dentistry: Growing up, we never really understood the importance of your dogs dental health. When I got my dog Bear, I really wanted to take care of his dental health. HPAH has a separate dental suite where they perform their cleaning and extractions. They also offer a wide range of approved dental products to help you keep up with your fur-baby's dental health! - Internal Medicine: They are able to diagnose and treat heart disease, kidney disease, diabetes, Addison's disease, Cushing's disease and many other illnesses at the hospital. They work closely with board certified veterinary internal medicine specialists in the area to make sure that all of their patients receive the best care. - Surgery: The vets at HPAH perform surgery Monday through Friday which is nice when we have busy schedules! Their surgical suite is fully equipped with the latest anesthetic monitoring equipment to ensure your pet's safety during procedures. The doctors routinely perform spays and neuters as well as other soft tissue and orthopedic surgeries. - Preventive Medicine: This is the only place I get Bear's Flea / Tick - Prevention and Heart-worm Medicine - AND THEY PRICE MATCH! - Dog Grooming / Dog Boarding: They are attached to the "Canine Country Club" Which offers this. I'd rather have my dog boarded / groomed right next to his vet!

This is a clean and friendly establishment. My dog is always cared for by their sincere animal loving staff. They are helpful and realistic and the cost is pretty average if not a bit lower than what I expected. It's the Trifexis that gets ya. ???? Seriously, this place is great. I feel absolutely comfortable with my dog being in their care.
