I love this place. I now live in red oak and still take my dog from time to time. She knows exactly where she is when we drive up. The staff is always friendly. My dog comes pack with no energy when she returns home from play time.

Love this place! I've never used a doggie day care before so I was hesitant at first but their staff and facilities are great! I showed up randomly and they gave me a full tour. My pup is always so happy to visit. They also have no issues with bully breeds like my guy!

I am extremely disappointed in Downtown Dog. I live close by and was referred here by a neighbor and the very first time I called I was met by a rep with a very rude disposition but I gave them the benefit of the doubt based on the referral. I dropped my dog off to be boarded for the weekend while I went out of town. The process to get him boarded there seemed legitimate and I was made to bring him in for a day to see how he adjusted to the daycare, fill out forms explaining the needs of my dog and the details of the stay, including pick up and drop off times. During my vacation I received a phone call stating that my dog was a "hand full" and asking me when I would be picking him up. This was very concerning because I am 1,500 miles away and already worried. Obviously there's nothing I can do about picking him up and now I'm wondering if he's being mistreated because they made it a point to contact me about picking him up, even though we already agreed on the pick up time. I can understand if my dog was violent or unruly but he is trained and friendly. I can understand him being annoying because he's one year old and is still learning, but I thought I was leaving him with professionals. After this incident I didn't bring him back for months but I decided to give them one more chance and bring him for one day (8am-5pm). I was hoping things would turn out great because my dog loves other animals and loves to play. When I went to pick him up today one of the reps brought him out to the car and he was limping very badly. When I got him home down the street I checked him out and all his pads were hanging on by a thread! I could not believe this. No one even contacted me to let me know that something was wrong. I could have picked him up instead of him continuing to play on them all day. I had to clean each one of his paws as he winced in pain and wrap them up. I am furious! My dog can hardly walk and is very sad! Do not feel comfortable leaving your beloved dogs with Downtown Dog.

I was very pleased with Downtown Dog...they are amazing. My doggie “Tip” is a Yorkie, he’s super cute but hardly likes anyone. Since his regular place closed down he wouldn’t let anyone touch him. The young lady came out took her time with him gave him a few beef jerky stacks I bought for him to have and “Whala” my baby looked great again. Thanks you guys, were looking forward to coming back!!!

If your dog needs to socialize and make some friends! Or mom and dad just need a weekday break at home! This place is awesome they will make you feel welcome and take care of your babies!

Pay no attention to Meri's review above. I have taken my dogs here every week for 11 years and they are amazing! You can tell they truly love the dogs they care for. The facility is clean and well maintained. It is an incredible value; literally 1/2 or even 1/3 the price of most other daycare/boarding in Dallas. I give them my absolute highest recommendation!!! Meri is a mean an vindictive person who left them a 1 star Yelp review years ago and said she would never go back. She then had the audacity to take her new dog in last week, and they politely told her "thanks but no thanks", so she had to leave a review here to get her revenge.

We take our pups here for grooming and they always come out super cute and clean! They work with my hectic schedule for drop off and pick up.

I haven't been inside obviously with covid, but my dog seemed to love it and the customer service over the phone was good. And I got updates when I called with no issue Overall appreciated the service and I hear the owners live upstairs, will def be using them again!

We have gone to this place with 4 of our dogs since they opened in 2009- 11 years and counting. They are the best all around value, professionalism, curtesy to pet owners, loving our dogs, reliable as hell. Always try to work with you on short notice about watching your pups- I just can’t say enough great things. They have been our right hand to take care of our pups safely and responsibly for years. You can always tell the reviews on these things when someone actually used their services or actually went to said restaurant. But there always has to be a few looky Lou’s and vindictive people. There always has to be that 1 person with a personal agenda “to take them down”. This place is called DOWNTOWN Dog. We live in an expansive urban area -Huge metropolitan city. To find a place that has an ACRE lot for your dogs to romp and play is somewhat impossible in any city. And to find said property -you have to go to the “sketch” part of town or drive and house outside of town. I lived in this exact area. We go out in this area. And it’s fine. If you’re so bougie maybe look at street views before you go or maybe contemplate the name “Downtown”- Hence then name. Or maybe do a drive by before you take you’re dog. To complain about that is just ridiculous. And then you always have the person(s) with an agenda always have a bone to pick with someone or something when said person doesn’t get what she wants. I think that’s called a tantrum? ???? And when she doesn’t get what she wants - her sheeple come running to put up false reviews just to be cool. Just to get acceptance from a miserable person. So you can believe the vindictive person(s) or you can believe someone who has gone an entire life span of my eldest dog. We started going here with our first fur kiddo when he was old enough to go-6-8mos. And we are still going strong. We have loved and supported this place for 11 years. Now have 4 dogs going there. Daycare & Boarding is by a weight range and is clearly marked on their website. It’s the best price in town. They have a large indoor and outdoor area-building sits on an acre. Plenty of staff. They rotate in and out on raining days, hot days and cold days. Your dogs not only look forward to being dropped at “school” -Every time. But they come back from their best day ever -every time. They are well adjusted to human interaction and other canine socialization. D-Dog cares about your dogs like they are their own. I don’t know what is better than the love and joy they bring to our family or that we know they are safe while in their hands. Our old man Jake is the Class alumni at this point. It’s about the only thing that gets his old bones out of bed first thing on Tuesday mornings. Believe the people that actually go there. Actually have experiences with this place. Your dog will love them. They really will.

My dog needed her nails trimmed, so I called them up and they told me to come on over. I ended up going over to see them and got her nails trimmed the same day!! Their prices are very reasonable. I would definitely recommend checking them out.

Downtown Dog knows dogs! The care, love and attention the staff give each doggie client is a reflection of their total dedication to canine well-being. This quality of care can only be credited to the quality of the leadersip and high expectations of Downtown Dog's owners, Gwen and Richard. I take my fur babies exclusively to DD and tell everyone I know to do the same. You won't find more conscientious care for your four-legged family than here. They treat your pets like their own and the price can't be beat. And by the way, I am a professional pet sitter so my standards are high!

I take me dog to get groomed and I'm always happy with the service. I know my dog loves it too because she always walks out happy with a wagging tail!

The people care so much about making a good match between pet and owner. I got two of the sweetest little dogs--mother daughter combo. These pups are so loving and they make me laugh all the time.

After the first stay at this place, our completely submissive female Lab was returned to us with severe bites on her face and ear. Nothing was said and it looked like they put a bandana on her to cover the wounds. They told us it was just rough play by a younger dog, but I’ve owned several big dogs that have been in fights and these wounds were not from just play. Very disappointing!

Great neighborhood spot with TONS of out door space for dogs of all sizes to be able to play with each other. The owner Gwen is sweet as can be and gave me a full tour when we came to pick up our dogs.
