Our pup has been in group classes almost since we got him, but we were having some issues we really wanted one-on-one help with. Within a few minutes of Megan's first visit with us, she noticed one thing I was doing and another thing my partner was doing that were contradicting the behaviors we were trying to reinforce. Each successive session gave us more tools and more confidence going forward. Our dog is far from perfect; we have a lot to work on. But now, I see a light at the end of the tunnel, whereas before I was pretty discouraged. Megan's super-calm but authoritative demeanor with our pet has become my #trainergoals.

Megan was a delight to work with. She was great with my dog and instilled valuable information and guidance while training my Shepard. 10 star!

Working with Megan (Stellar Dog) was a wonderful experience. I did the All Star Dog program for my small chiweenie mix - I was hoping to work on her listening skills and reactivity around larger dogs. Megan supported me and my dog in establishing and growing foundational skills for these areas. Thru practicing the behaviors she coached me on during our trainings, I have seen great results and feel I have a better understanding of my dog and how to communicate with her. Megan offers at-home trainings, which I highly recommend as it allows her to get a more detailed picture of the overall environment and interactions between you + your dog that may not be as apparent in an offsite training facility. I feel that the end results I have gotten thru working with Stellar Dog are invaluable. I would recommend her training services to anyone looking to work on specific skills with your dog or enhance your human-dog communication.

Megan is an excellent Dog trainer. Not only is she fantastic with dogs, she is also equally amazing with humans (referring to my two little kids). We have a 10 month old naughty, picky Golden Doodle. Being a first time dog owner we really had no idea what we were doing. Megan helped us understand our puppy's needs and communicate with him better. She gave us hope that our boy will one day be the best dog ever. We plan on doing more sessions with Megan. I recommend Megan to any and everyone that I know !

Megan taught us how to communicate with our one year old goldendoodle Holly. She set a great example for Holly, my family, and most of all me with consistent techniques and encouragement. She answered all my questions and more, helping me get a better understanding of how the training process worked so I felt more confident.

Everyone: Standard Schnauzers can be stubborn, willful, and will take over your home. Me: Sounds like a fun challenge! Me, after 1 week with my puppy: Megan, help! I can't say enough positive things about working with the Stellar Dog and Megan. I realized quickly that my puppy wasn't the only one who needed (and benefitted from) the training. The sessions covered the basics for a new puppy generally, but were also tailored to where Oliver and I were in the process. From shark attacks, to squirrel chasing, Megan provided reasoned and effective solutions, with patience and humor.

We just finished The Ultimate Puppy Foundation program with Megan and it was well worth it! We had taken a group puppy class before so our dog, Momo, knew some of the basics but it was a one-size-fits-all approach and we still had so many questions. The private sessions are invaluable since Megan took the time to understand and connect with our dog who adores and respects her. Things just clicked for Momo and we started seeing consistent results. She explains the techniques really well and makes it easy and enjoyable to incorporate into your daily routine. She genuinely wants you to get the most out of your sessions and went out of her way to ask her sister and dog to come by and be a distraction one day. We always have questions and she's extremely generous with her time and answers. She even gave me resources and advice to help with isolation distress, a month prior to our consultation. Our dog is so much more well-rounded, behaved, and slowly building confidence – I even get compliments from neighbors when they see us out training. We can't thank Megan enough!

We had an awesome experience with Megan! We’ve come a long way in just a short while with our adult chihuahua. Looking forward to practicing what we’ve learned and building on it. Highly recommend Megan especially if you’re new to dogs and dog training!

The Stellar Dog worked hand in hand training both our puppy and us. Megan taught basic commands as well as specific things we were interested in. One of the thing that was extremely beneficial was training in several settings. From our house, to the park, to Lowe's Home Improvement. That gave the opportunity to do some situational training. We plan on doing additional training once our pup gets around 1 year old.

We have a (now) 6 month old Golden Doodle Puppy. We began working with Megan & our puppy when he was 3 months old. We have grown SO MUCH with the many tools, training tips that she led us through. She is an extra ordinarily patient trainer - with not just the puppy, but us humans too. Megan gave us so many body language, personality, sensitivity management, environmental tricks to follow while working with our puppy, I learned so much about being a better pet parent as a result of it. Everything Megan taught us is great, but my favourites are her working with us on Meet & Greet best practices, Leash Walking, getting our puppy to stop barking @ others & allowing us all to be more calm & relaxed in the stages of his growing up! HIGHLY recommend working with Megan to train yourself & your fur babies. Finally, Megan is also very fun while she trains, making the process more friendly & less like a "Task" :) Thank you Megan for setting us & our fur baby up for success!!

I highly recommend Megan for all your fur baby training!! She is amazing at what she does and we love the fact that she uses positive reinforcement. Our Aussie learned several commands in just a short time. We were even able to get our very stubborn 11year old Pomeranian to learn a few commands, now that’s impressive!! Megan is great! We have seen such positive changes in our dog, Georgia. She is better behaved, listens better, and has learned to amuse herself in acceptable ways when we are not available. She comes when she is called and can be trusted off leash. She recognizes us, the humans, as being in charge. We rescued Georgia at the end of October and had a honeymoon period with her. She then started developing intense separation anxiety, began chewing items, jumping on people, didn't listen, cried in her crate, reacted to other dogs...you name it. I was frankly losing my patience with her, so an expert needed to be called! We've had dogs before, but Megan helped us realize all the little mistakes we were making in trying to train and how we were reinforcing the wrong things. Megan's love for dogs is obvious, and training was always positive and playful. Megan also incorporated our older dog to help Georgia, so it was a fun experience for both pups. We practiced training at home, the park, in our neighborhood, and out on the trails, giving my wife and I an understanding of how to be consistent across different settings. I no longer find myself getting frustrated with Georgia, she's received compliments on her behavior, and we are back to being a happy family. :)

Megan is a fantastic dog trainer. She worked with us to teach our puppy the basics like sit and stay, as well as to walk politely on a leash, greet visitors without jumping, and relax in very stimulating environments. She helped us understand how to slow him down and encourage him to focus on us instead of everything around him. Megan was always professional and valued our time. She gave us lots of advice on how to keep the puppy busy and tired and followed up after each session with written and video tips for continuing training. We (puppy and people) absolutely recommend The Stallar Dog!

Megan is amazing at training! She is patient and let's the client direct the session specific to the dog. She directly addresses your concerns and provides specific training redirections to not only help your puppy but help you be a good puppy parent. Highly recommend.

We have an 8 month old puppy, that we thought would be around 45 lbs and is now around 65 lbs, he is so sweet but quite a handful! Megan was so much help in getting certain behaviors under control and an encyclopedia of good advice and general dog knowledge! Megan is a total life-saver! I'm a first-time dog owner, and quickly found myself in over my head with my German Shepherd puppy. Megan helped me choose a training package that included sessions both with and without me. It was so helpful to know that my girl was socializing and learning skills even while I was working! I was amazed at how quickly my dog was learning commands at such a young age. Most importantly, Megan "trained" me extensively in how to reinforce good behaviors and curb unwanted ones. And it was clear that Megan loved my dog just as much as I did. The end result? The vet, the groomer, and the doggie daycare center compliment how well-behaved and sociable this German Shepherd is. And I've made it through her teething stage, have a generally calm and happy puppy, and look forward to life with a stellar dog!

Megan’s worked with us and our hyperactive Jack Russell terrier-mix dog. Her methods were positive towards our pooch and she gave us helpful tips throughout. She also included follow up instructions after each session. We would definitely recommend her to our friends & family.

Megan is very reliable and flexible in scheduling. Extremely knowledgeable and customizes her approach to your dog specific needs. Our dog was house trained when we adopted her, and very friendly, silly, loving and playful, however she struggled with walks on the leash and very anxious with meeting new people and animals. After the ‘Jump Start’ program with Stellar Dog, she is doing much better. She pulls on the leash much less and has improved significantly with meeting and greeting new people and animals. Loved our time with Megan at Stellar Dog. We have a VERY large and fast growing pup (he’s a Saint Bernard) so training him well is important to us! Megan was always positive and broke training down into easy steps that work! My son took on much of the responsibility and the dog always listens to his commands. I would recommend her to anyone who’s looking for a trainer! Our furball is a very well behaved guy because of her!

I wish that I could give Megan 5 stars! Like many people who adopt a puppy with the best of intentions, we quickly found ourselves overwhelmed. We had owned a dogs before, and initially felt like we could just take the Pet Smart puppy classes and watch some YouTube videos to master the basics, and eventually the rest would fall in to place -- boy were we wrong! Finally, the biting, jumping, barking, food aggression, and impulsive behavior around my 2 small children, was more than we could handle, and we were desperate for a different approach. We had even resulted to using a muzzle. I'm so glad that we found The Stellar Dog! One of the best things about Megan, is that she works with you in the convenience of your own home, which was critical for teaching "Buddy" the house rules and helping our whole family practice the training exercises. Upon our first session, she assessed our immediate needs, and had and Exercise Pen and other tools in her vehicle, ready to utilize. We saw noticeable progress from the start and immediately began too see some light at the end of the tunnel. But as is the case with dog training, she in all actuality was not training our dog, but training us! She was incredibly patient and reassuring and always sent easy-to-follow follow up materials via emails that we could practice for the next session, and it was always wonderful to be able to reach out to her with a question or concern. I was initially worried that all dog trainers were like the stiff and serious, Caesar Milan, but that is not the case with Megan. She is a delight, and we actually really enjoyed the sessions as a family, and our pup was always WORN OUT by the end. Also, she brings a sense of "zen" to the whole process. One important thing I learned is the dog will key off of your moods and energy. When she left each session, it was like a sense of peace had descended upon our house. I really cannot say enough good things about Megan, and I no longer thing "oh my god, what were we thinking?!" I only wish there were in-home consultants/trainers to help you raise kids!! Do not hesitate to call Megan, you're only regret will be that you didn't do it sooner!

Megan was a true pleasure to work with! We decided to go with Stellar Dog to help us with our sweet, but crazy, 8 month old puppy. Megan took the time to understand our specific situation and helped us with those areas, versus just going through a set of commands. She was flexible with her scheduling and always on time and ready to work. She did a great job in training our dog, as well as making sure we knew how to do it correctly, as well.
