Worst place ever and will not be back nor recommend. I went to this place for the first time after a coworker recommended since our usual boarding facility was booked up. What my pet and I experienced at this place was horrible. Very unprofessional and uncaring. Lack of communication, failure to follow instructions (written), overcharging for additional days until brought to their attention they were overcharging, and moreover, not a care in the world when issue of animal safety was brought up. Please be aware. If I could give less than one star, I would!

This place is something else. Im so grateful for all the Doctors and staff for the amazing customer service they provide. Always nice Always caring and treating you as a valued patient. Our puppy is always in great hands when we take him to this place. Saved my puppy's life. And treated him with nothing but love. Above and beyond.

My parents were visiting me in Austin when their older dog passed away. It was on a Sunday morning, and we had no idea where we could bring him to be cremated. After calling around, New Hope was one of two vet clinics open, and had the best price by far. They were extremely nice on the phone, so we decided to go there rather than driving back to San Antonio. My mom was extremely upset about just leaving his body at a place we didn’t know. We showed up there sobbing and holding him in a towel. Words cannot describe how comforting and kind the staff was. We had never been there before, and they treated us as though our dog had been a patient there all his life. They brought him into an exam room, and a vet stood there with us while we said our final goodbyes. I could see in his eyes that he felt our pain. Once his remains had been cremated and ready for pickup, I was too upset to pick them up right away. I called several times over the course of a month, and they assured me that his remains were right up by the desk with them, and that I could take as long as I needed to pick them up. I sent my roommate to get them one day, and she said she unexpectedly started crying at the front desk because the people were so incredibly kind and understanding. Despite being almost 30 minutes away from my house, I will be switching my dog to this veterinarian office. I really can’t describe a better crew or experience. Thank you New Hope, from the bottom of my heart!

I was looking through an online forum about dog teeth cleanings in this area, and I'm so thankful that someone recommended this place! Dr. Lake was SO wonderful. She did everything she could to help calm my nerves, including explaining everything in person, calling with each step along the way, and giving me options and recommendations in terms I could understand. She really knows what it means to be a dog MOM and not just a dog owner. She took great care of my baby and me! Thank you so much! All of the other staff I dealt with were great too, and they got me in amazingly fast. I wish I'd known about this place a long time ago! I'd been putting off his teeth cleaning, but all I needed was New Hope!

I took my little dog Tilley to New Hope to be spayed. Everyone there is so nice and made me feel she was in good hands. I was concerned because she is a very small dog but the veterinarian and vet tech spent time with me and Tilley and I felt she would have excellent care! I also got a call from the vet checking on her to make sure everything is going well.

I really wanted to love them. Staff was friendly, reasonably priced and a nice facility. But, I took my cat in for a full dental extraction due to chronic and severe stomatitis, discussed how important a full extraction is to me, and brought recommendations of such from 2 other vets, and then the doctor pulled only a few of my cats teeth. I gave her the benefit of the doubt when she said she doubts there will be anymore issue, now here I am, 5 months later, out 800 dollars from the partial extraction, and shopping around for a vet that will actually do what is best for my cat. Do yourself a favor, and find a vet that meets the bare minimum as they do, but will actually listen to the concerns of the pets parent.

I brought my newly adopted dog, Captain Mal, in for a wellness check, since I have 2 beloved cats, which have had heart problems. He had coughed and so I requested they do a full workup including fecal tests. I never received a call, email, nor mailed results note with recommendation for treatment. I recently took my pup to Avery Ranch Vet for Captain's 2nd set of shots and had the same workup since I did not hear back from New Hope. I received a call this morning (next day - not even 24 hours!) that Captain has hookworms. They said they have the treatment ready for us to pick up. What a difference in service. I won't be returning to New Hope. Just thought y'all would like to know what I'm going to post on Google, Facebook, Instagram, Discord, Twitch, Steam, Twitter, Yelp, Nextdoor and any other social media I can. You risked my cats' and my health and your receptionist said, "Okay" cheerfully when I told her why I would not be coming back to your business....prompting me to make this a campaign to let everyone know just how much you really care about the animals you supposedly treat.

Great Veterinarians! My sincere appreciation goes to Dr. Troia first and foremost- he is a wonderful doctor and personable. Five stars also to Dr. Brooks and Dr. Nelson for being exemplary. My dogs and I also appreciate Dr. Brown, Dr. Knight, Dr. Otto, and Dr. Lake. The front desk staff are also greatly appreciated! Thank you!

If I could give 0 stars I would.. I made an appointment in advance. I was 6 minutes late due to an accident on the road. When I arrived they told me they would have to reschedule because they only have 15 mins per appointment? This is not something they tell you when you make your appointment and 15 minutes seems like an extremely short time. Also, it’s ridiculous they cancel your appointment for being not even 10 minutes late. They told me they could see us as a walk in and i would have to wait a few minutes so I did and ended up waiting for 2 hours!! asking multiple times and them saying “you’re next a few more minutes”. Then I overheard them telling someone the doctors were out to lunch and wouldn’t be back for another 2 hours! When I got up and asked once again - Angelica (who roller her eyes at me the entire conversation) said they were out to lunch and again said we were next but had no idea how long it would be. I’m very upset that I wasted 2 hours sitting there while the employees just lied to my face when there was really no intention to be seen today. Very inconsiderate of my time and the staff pretends to be friendly but have no intention in actually helping or being productive.

I cannot speak highly enough about my experience with the New Hope Animal hospital. I brought my very sick rescue cat to them and every person I came in contact with was sympathetic and supportive. The doctor even called me the following day to check on how the cat was. They guided me through a very upsetting time and gave me the support to make sure I made the right decision, upsetting though it was. Thank you all

Dr. Otto is the sweetest and very informative! The staff is very nice and help. Their prices are the best in the area, and they accept walk ins.

Had to take my dog in after a dog attacked her this morning. I showed up as soon as they opened at 6:30 this morning, they were so accommodating got her in as soon as I called and said I was there for an emergency. The vet techs were all so nice and sweet to my girl. The doctor was very thorough and explained everything to me. The whole process was so easy and everyone was so nice. What started out as a not so great morning, the staff made it better by taking such great care of my girl Hazel!

We brought our dog Bruno in as an emergency visit on a Sunday. They saw us within 30 mins while other hospitals told us the wait would be 5 hours. The entire staff from the Doctor, Vet Tech to the front desk was so sweet and friendly and took great care of my pup. Also extremely affordable. Very thankful they were able to see him and 10/10 recommend. :)

New to town and was able to get an appointment for our dog's frequent urinary issues. The staff from front desk to veterinarians are very professional and care about your pet. We have made this our permanent veterinary clinic as each vet has made us feel well taken care of.

Everyone is so friendly, the veterinarians are eager to make sure that all of our concerns are addressed, and everyone seems truly caring about the well being of their patients (pets). (Unlike the previous Veterinary clinic we used that seemed very callous and all they were interested in was our money.)

Our cat Marble needed to be seen right away on Sunday. I called and confirmed that they were open and we could bring him in right away. When we got there they started their processes and determined he needed some meds to help him urinate and fluids to keep him hydrated. We got two meds to administer to him and took him home. New Hope was professional, thorough and fast to react. Marble has recovered well and needs no follow-up. Thank you New Hope! Rod

We just moved to the area. We took our 2 Dachshunds in for their annual exams. The staff was friendly and the Dr was amazing. He squatted down on the floor to there level. We will be going back.

We were searching for another vet since our current one would still not let you come inside with your pet. While we understand COVID precautions, there are ways to make sure everyone was being safe. Our dog is our child and you wouldn't let your child go in alone would you?! So on to the review, the front office staff was extremely nice during the initial phone call and check in. The vet tech was very nice and Dr. Lake was just fantastic and easy to talk to. She made sure she went over our guy very well and discussed any concerns that we might have.

Dr Otto and Cordeiro were some of the best vets I have ever met. They were caring, responsive, and very knowledgeable. Staffs at the vet are excellent as well. Highly recommend.

I had to say goodbye to my sweet Rosie Mae yesterday. It was a Saturday, but this clinic didn’t charge crazy fees. Just $30 extra for an appointment. Dr. Brown was very informative and caring when she shared options and information. She gave us the opportunity to take Rosie home to say our sweet goodbyes. When we came back to put Rosie down, Dr. Brown, Hunter, and other staff members even stayed late so we could have time with her after she was gone. The staff was kind, respectful, supportive, and gentle through this entire heart wrenching process. I feel so fortunate that this team was there to help me and Rosie through her final moments. I highly recommend A New Hope for your pets needs because they love them as if they are their own.

We love New Hope Animal Hospital and have been taking our dog here for years. It’s modern and clean and the staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. Our dog is a little protective of her mum and New Hope work with us to make the experience as positive and good as possible, for our dog and for us. We highly recommend this place.

My cat got very sick this past week. I went to 2 vets. Thankfully she’s fine now . I paid the same price at each one- one made me wait in the office 4 hours, sent me home with 10$ worth of pain meds, and said if I came back they would fix it. Also, they didn’t examine (during her 30 minute examination) the area that was bleeding and leaking fluids(which was included in her list of presented symptoms) - I pointed it out and they look surprised. Thought I paid for peace of mind that at least she wasn’t going to die soon. Wrong. They weren’t even close. The other vet (BEST VET on Anderson Mill) , kept her there all day and let me go home (they are super careful with COVID and don’t let anyone in ????????) all employees had masks and were extremely polite. They kept me updated all day, emailed me info so I could dose her human Zyrtec and not buy fancy kitty pills, and called me the next day to check on her. She was given two different treatments for under the price of just walking in to the other one and they didn’t charge me a fee for being a drop in like the other one did. Also, I didn’t leave BEST VETS covered in flea bites ???????????? Update- unfortunately because her treatment was delayed because I had to find a new vet, she passed away.

I don’t usually write reviews. This was our 1ST visit. My dog (Mercedes) gets extremely scared and nervous when going to the vet. Everyone was so understanding, thoughtful and kind. Even when my dog kept barking, they never got frustrated with her. They took the time to calm her down, which made me feel even better about the situation. New Hope Animal Hospital will be our new clinic for our fur babies.

Took my dog here after he was attacked and no one else could get him in on a Sunday. We had to wait a couple hours to get in for walk-in appointment but the staff was all very helpful and kind. I'm thankful someone was open on Sunday. It's not my current vet but am thinking about changing!
