Buttercup Veterinary Hospital Cedar Park, Texas

Buttercup Veterinary Hospital has always been extremely knowledgeable, helpful, and kind to us. A good friend recommended them to me, and I am so grateful they did! We have 6 cats between two households (they just seem appear in our lives) and BVH has been so accommodating to our schedule and their needs. One of our cats has a heart murmur and anxiety, so he needs additional care as well as emergency care when his anxiety gets the best of him. With BVH's help, we've been able to keep his emergency visits down exponentially to about once ever year and a half. If they're not available for emergency care, they immediately refer us to someone who can help. I've had to bring in one of the girls for and emergency visit that turned out to be very silly, and BVH handled the whole situation with grace and aplomb and still gave my cat the best of care (she was gassy from a bunch of cheez-whiz my 4 year old fed her--kids, right?). BVH is also transparent about pricing and very willing to give me quotes ahead of time if I'm concerned about cost of care, and they're honest and thorough regarding what care the cats need. They're also firm but gentle with my stubborn cats (who are strong willed and not afraid to throw their weight around), and my boy with the health problems absolutely adores their staff. I am more than satisfied with the quality of care that my cat family members receive from them. I cannot recommend them enough, so if you're looking for a vet in the Cedar Park area, definitely give them a call to see if they're accepting new patients.

I highly recommend this veterinarian office! I have 3 cats of varying ages and have been seen by each of the veterinarians here. Every one of them is knowledgeable and caring. They explain everything, answer all my questions, and tell me what to look for. They take a cautious approach, always try the least invasive options first, do their best to rule out possible causes for issues, and are proactive. My eldest cat had hyperthyroidism and did not react well to the medications, which is rare but does happen, and Dr. Harding was knowledgeable about this and informed me. She knew what to watch for even when it is not common. We ended up going with radiation therapy as last resort. It worked! But also Dr. Harding shared her personal experience with me, as one of her cats also had to go through this. She warned me in advance of the possible complications and that sometimes thyroid problems in cats can hide an underlying cause. This is exactly the information I need because I want to know what to watch for in caring for my fur-children. They also always follow up and the technicians and office staff are all friendly and caring, both about me and my cats. One of my friends is a dog lover and has been going here for many years. In fact, she is the one who told me about Buttercup Veterinary and said they helped her care for her aging dog to prolong his life while doing everything to maintain a good quality of life for him before he passed away. I cannot say enough good things about the people at this office! Every one of them is very knowledgeable.

I first came here in 2004. The doctors and vet techs have always been very courteous and professional. I have also had to experience saying goodbye to some of my fur babies and everyone has been compassionate during the process. Right now I have one in hospice and the staff has been very understanding and honest in giving me answers to my questions and what we are experiencing.

They tried their best to help their client. When my dogs needed to be seen by their vet suddenly even they are booked at that day, they are able to see my dogs.

When my dog started experiencing allergies, Buttercup was at the top of recommended animal hospitals in my area from Figo. They had open availability and it was easy to make an appointment within the same week including weekends. Dr. Pittman and Dr. Cocoran were super kind, knowledgeable, and understanding when it came to providing care to my dog. Buttercup was very thorough for his annual exams and they quickly delivered test results when they became available. I will continue to bring my pup here as long as we live in the Cedar Park area!

Let me start of by saying the staff there is super nice and friendly. The big issue with the place was it felt very sales orientated. When dealing with the health of a pet that is the last thing that someone wants to deal with. Also was there for almost 2 hrs for an exam.

They are very Rude!! Good luck taking your animals here!!

Had a minor emergency and, after calling 5 different places, Buttercup was able to get me in same day. They even sent me home with some medication and called to remind me to administer it along with instructions, the day my cat was due to take it. Very happy and will be back.

I used Buttercup Veterinary Hospital with my first dog 15 years ago and now my newest pup is enjoying their care. I appreciate their thoroughness in each visit along with advice, services, and prices. Overall I highly recommend them.

They are responsive and attentive and really go the extra mile for you. I love that they call you a day or two after to check on your pup! Everyone I’ve ever encountered there is so kind and caring!

Not my favorite 0lace to take my dogs but they are... ok. Too expensive for quality of care

Whether trimming nails, annual checkups or emergencies I have full faith in them. Even when I had to say goodbye to my kitty with cancer they had a bedside manner that helped keep me together.

Our dogs have received good care on routine visits or emergency situations.

I recently brought my 8 wk old Boxer for her initial examination and the Dr was very thorough and informative. I will definitely return for my puppy’s veterinarian needs.

Butter cup is amazing! I have been taking my dog since he was a 2 months old, and have always has a very positive experience. The staff is friendly and professional. The vets are incredible and take the time to explain things, and answer questions. Butter cup always takes really great care of my dog. I would HIGHLY recommend them!
