I absolutely love the people here. They have been so caring with us and our fur babies. My service dog has had some unique issues and they have been there through it all as we are still working on getting a solid handhold of the situation. We have had some ups and downs and I do not know where I would be without this kind generous group of people.

I have used them for 13 years and always got the best professional care and compassion for my pets Keiki and Meli. The staff is wonderful!

The staff is super friendly and helpful! I did have an issue with the vet, however. Upon arrival, I was told my dog wouldn’t be seen without his previous vet records. Emailed them to the facility, multiple times. Josh came out and asked many questions to get a bit of medical history on my sweet Avery. When Avery was taken into the facility, I received a call from the vet. Based off of what Josh had asked me, I figured the vet was following up with those answers. She asked about his seizures and diet and then quickly progressed into mentioning it was his diet that is causing his seizures which is interesting because I put him on a Whole Foods diet DUE TO HIS SEIZURES. After I was already in tears believing I was causing my dog to have seizures, she mentioned she had not taken a look at his previous vet records (which clearly state his seizures; the frequency of them, what I noticed in his behavior before, during and after a seizure.) The vet continued to tell me it is his diet that is causing his seizures— mind you, my dog was already in the clinic when she made the cal to me, after I was told he would not be seen without the vet records being reviewed. In tears, I told her to please not tell me I was causing his seizures. The vet assumed I was an idiot and had no education on my dog’s situation. In tears, i told her- begged her to just do the blood work that I asked for. She refused to do the blood work due to her believing I didn’t trust her. All I wanted was blood work done. She told me I may not know the cause of his seizures with blood work because it may be normal. I was aware of this but instead of asking , she advised me AGAIN about his diet being the cause WITHOUT EVEN LOOKING ST HIS PREVIOUS VET RECORDS AND WITHOUT EVEN RUNNING THE SIMPLE BLOOD TEST I ASKED FOR! I told her to run the blood test— I don’t need to trust you (the vet) because I already know you’re talking nonsense just to get me off your schedule. I was trying to rule out possibilities for my dogs seizures, not gain a lecture on his diet which isn’t accurate. I needed a blood test done; simple as that. I am really disappointed in the vet’s behavior.

This place is horrible . Your dog had an appointment for blood work, which was our first step to figure out why our dog was having seizures, upon arrival without going through previous vet records, my girlfriend was told that it is her fault that our dog is having seizures because of what she feeds him. Our dog eats natural dog food we buy at the store and we did switch between other brand names throughout the years and none of that has changed the outcome. Then they told her that the dog will not be allowed in the building until they have the vet records which have been sent to them via email prior to this appointment. After she left she received a phone call from the vet stating that she has now looked over the dogs vet records, even tho they said they didn’t have them. When a concerned owned brings their pup to a vet, you don’t expect to get criticism, but you do expect help and professionalism which are clearly are missing here. Would not recommend and will be calling to ethics committee if there is one for vets. As a result they charged us an office visit but did not do what we set up an appointment for which was blood work.

This has to be the best place to go for pet care. The staff there are very friendly and professional while making you feel welcome. When they take your pet for treatment, they keep you well informed. I'm so glad I found this place to take care of all our pets. Thank you Burleson Small Animal Clinic.

Scheduled new puppy appointment during shelter-in-place procedures. Was told to get there early to do paperwork. Went in to get the paperwork and completed it in the car. 20 minutes later had to call them because nobody had come out to get the paperwork They forgot about me. They finally came to get thep paperwork but not the puppy. 25 minutes later I had to call them back and say I'm still waiting for somebody to come and get the puppy. I get the "sweetheart will be with you in a minute" routine. So I said no thank you and left. We have too many good choices in town to waste time with an unorganized office.

I have an 8 month old pittie that suddenly popped up with a possible ear infection. I called BSAC and spoke with Tere who was very sweet and professional. She was upfront when she said that her schedule was full but said if I could "Show up at 10:15 we will fit you between 2 appointments. " Awesome Great im expecting a little wait but we were ok with that. When we pulled up we called as the sign directed. They brought us out new patient paper work and directed us to call again when it was done. So by 10:20 we called, got put on hold but Tere was outside so we flagged her down and handed her the paperwork . My boyfriend my 7 year old son and my sick dog are sitting in the car as directed until someone comes out to get my baby. I watched 3 different techs come out and get 5 different dogs from the woman in the car next to us. For an hour we sat there without so much as a phone call. When i Called to find out what was going on the office manager/lead tech told me that they were busy and had other appointments and i was a walk in so i just needed to be patient. Asked me if I had somewhere to be. yes I did, work. It wasnt the time that got the bad review it was the lack of communication and the CONDESCENDING attitude of the office manager. She was rude . rant over

I love the fact that they showed my little one love and took great care of her. Although it's a long way from where we live, it's worth the trip. Already have her next appointment. I can't see going anywhere else.

**EDIT** I have gone back several times now to Dr. Winquest and her staff, and I could NOT appreciate them more!! They are always so warm and take the time to reassure my every anxiety about my babies! When Melissa or Secret answer my phone calls, they always take the time to listen to all of my concerns and help communicate with the doctors and nurses before I even make an appointment to have as much information beforehand as possible. I am so glad I found this great group of doctors, nurses, and office staff since moving to Burleson, and I won't take my pups or kitties anywhere else! I just had my first vet appointment with Dr. Winquest, and I had to come home and immediately write this review! I am SO thankful I found her!! I had the same vet for 10 years in Austin, so it's always hard when moving to find a new vet after trusting one for so long. I tried one other vet in Burleson a couple of times, and I never really felt listened to. I'm so glad I decided to try Burleson Small Animal Clinic! My 12-year-old Golden Retriever was having a few different issues, and we had to do a drive-up visit because of COVID-19. Tito, the Vet Tech, was so friendly when he came to get my pup, and was very sweet when he came to check in every so often while labs and X-Rays were being run. Dr. Winquest had two separate 10-minute phone conversations with me to explain all the test results and the treatment plan. She made sure all of my questions were answered and we had a good course of action for my dog. Even with the extra challenges with COVID-19, they went above and beyond to provide excellent customer service and vet care. I cannot wait to meet Dr. Winquest and the rest of the staff in person, because they are all so friendly and warm! I will definitely be taking my dog and my other pets back to Burleson Small Animal Clinic.

The staff is very unprofessional. There is absolutely NO customer service. Even when you present your research & show them what needs to be completed by the vet, they say you are incorrect & turn you away. That is of course after they disrespect you about your own personal business. I would not recommend this clinic at all. If they treated me that way who knows how they treated my animal.

I hate covid19. I cant be with my chloe when she visits the vet.but i do like the professional people working there and my little dog has her problems.and they have been spot on diagnosing her.

I Like them. Only problem I have is that they give you an appt and dont tell you if it's a "fit in" appt. If it is...you end up waiting for at least an hour as they try to FIT you in between actual appts. Bit fun for me or my puppy...especially when I am on a tight schedule.

After receiving a call about a less than satisfactory experience, they basically said that the vet tech named Tito was an introvert so he didnt mean to be offend me, and they never offered a solution for over charging me on my bill. This vet is not worth the money, I would research other vets in the area. My cats problem has not been fixed after two appointments.

My cat had a skin infection. We have brought the cat to the vet multiple times, and each time they insist on sedating him and they are the only office to have to do that. The male nurse working on June 1st 2020 at 11 am was highly unprofessional and kept making personal remarks about my boyfriends age. They charged $100 extra for an ear service we weren’t notified about or asked about. I would do extensive research before picking this vet.

They turn us away when my dog was having a life or death. They were the closest vet to us and the refused to even look our way. No one was there but us and it was horrible. I will NEVER recommend them or go there for anything!!!!!!!! My poor dog ended up dying in the car as we drove across town to the closed vet.
