Uodate2021: Seven years have passed since my original review. My sweet two old dogs have died from old age and now there are two new ones with new issues. Dr Donaruma and her assistant Lilian continue to provide excellent care right at our doorstep. We highly recommend Houston Mobile Veterinary Clinic! Original review 2014: We have taken our two dogs to the same vet clinic for their entire lives but now that they are 11 the trip has become more challenging. They are older, less tolerant of other dogs, and one has mobility issues. Our neighbor told us about Dr. Donaruma. We decided to try out the mobile clinic and it is wonderful. Not only is it convenient and much less stressful for us all, but Dr. Donaruma is an excellent diagnostician. She discovered the reason our male dog has been screaming. Our other vet said he's just high strung - which he is - yet Dr. Donaruma went further and found that he has a condition that causes a nerve in his back to be compressed when he barks, causing him acute pain, thus he screeches. He's on a course of medication and screeches much less often now. We will stick with Dr. Donaruma and her wonderful assistant Brittney from now on!

Highly recommend. My two cats have been patients for over 11 years & my rescue dog ( shitzu) for 3 years They have impressive mobile clinic and provide additional services for procedures other than wellness, vaccination, prescriptions etc using advanced technology ( teeth cleaning..etc) They are prompt & efficient & Dr D & her assistant, Lilian, are extremely experienced. They are very accommodating, so gentle & sincerely caring- & offer the same services with the added comfort for your pets treated right outside your home.

I am a huge fan of Dr. Donaruma and her team. They show up on time, are prepared, and ready to provide excellent care. They are compassionate and practical in their approach. They've cared for my pets through all phases of life and treat them like they are their own. I love the convenience and attention of the service. They never rush through a visit, even though I'm sure they are very busy, and answer all my questions and concerns. Just great!!

Such a convenience to be able to have a mobile vet reducing all the stress of a normal vet clinic. Dr. D is so compassionate and patient with our sweet Paisley. I can not give enough praise to the tender love and care she gives! She always makes Paisley feel comfortable and safe which we love because she normally does not do well with strangers. Dr. D is thorough and we are lucky to have her care for our Paisley!

All you need to know about Dr. D, you'll find in the "learn more" link on her website. I read it before, but after meeting her (and Lillian!), I understood it more. My bitey-boy, Rudy, can't be tricked or otherwise gotten into a carrier and I was sure even this exam would require him to be sedated. Dr D and Lillian went into my bathroom and a minute later, came out with Rudy in a box, no sedation necessary. He was a perfect gentleman for the entire exam and I'm sure he knew he was in capable and caring hands. Rudy has some neediness/aggression issues and the doctor suggested something no one else had - let him go outside (contained on the back fenced-in patio) and get more stimulation and activity. I was skeptical but desperate and as soon as they left and we were back inside, I opened the back door. The difference in his demeanor is remarkable. He's already much more calm and doesn't shadow me. I don't know if it'll take care of the biting, but it's too soon to say. I'm hopeful. The "clinic" is quite large, air conditioned, and spotless-clean. I was amazed how it looked and felt exactly like an operatory in any vet's office. I'm completely sold. Just look at the reviews. There's a reason this team has 5 stars from everyone. :)

Dr. D. and Lillian are fantastic! They're incredibly caring and knowledgeable, and my 3 cats and me all are so happy we found them! What's really amazing is that Dr. D. is as good with owners as she is with her patients, and unlike so many vets, will spend the time necessary to explain things/answer questions so best decision can be made. For instance, I was only able to get myself comfortable putting my 16 year old frail girl through extensive and badly needed dental surgery because of Dr. D's advice, which was practical, thorough and provided a very balanced view of options and potential risks/rewards. It turned out to be one of the best decisions I ever made, as my old girl is acting like a young kitten again, and only now do I truly understand how much pain she was in. Thanks Dr. D. and Lillian!

Doctor D. is amazing. We have a fractious cat, impossible to handle and she did it without a scratch!! Treated her for an ear infection and did a general physical, she is doing sooo well. There is no doubt they care deeply and their gentle manner is a comfort to stressed out "cat parents". Highly recomend.

There's really nothing like this in Houston. Houston Mobile Vet is a wonderful service that brings a highly professional and personable veterinarian to your front door. The pain of stuffing a cat in a carrier? Gone! Dr. Donaruma and her tech were able to handle everything on site. Plus the van itself is so modern and clean -- a model of what a vet on wheels should be! Best of all is the price, which we found to be completely reasonable considering the level of service and convenience they provide. We've had them back several times now. They're great!

Dr. D and Brittany are awesome! I drive into town to bring my dogs to the Houston Mobile Vet Clinic. The best experience I've ever had with a Veterinarian. Do yourself a favor and see Dr. D for your pet's needs...you will be very satisfied!

My experience with Houston Mobile Vet was one of extreme satisfaction. They were on time, extremely reasonable and not only assisted with my dog's thyroid, but also found a bladder infection. Their veterinarian's skill, patience and animal empathy easily supersedes any other vet we have used to date. That mixed with the fact they make house calls is why I am writing this now. It is a value like none other.
