We enrolled our 15 mo old pup for the 10 day training package and we are extremely happy with his trainer and the whole staff at Taurus 620. When I dropped him off each morning, he couldn't wait to get inside and get started. He obviously loved every person he came in contact with at Taurus and I was very happy with all my interactions with the staff. They have my highest recommendation.

Definitely recommend. I was very nervous and hesitant to board my dog for the first time, and for an entire week at that. My experience at Taurus reassured me that he was getting the best care. The staff at this location were really accommodating and able to get my dog in on very short notice! I loved getting the daily picture updates while we were away!

Spectacular customer service! We have a rescue pup that is extremely fearful around strangers. We had to travel for two weeks over the Christmas break to see both of our families and were extremely nervous about leaving him. I called this staff and told them all about our pup and they did an amazing job reassuring me that they could handle him but said I was more than welcome to bring him in for a day as a trial run. Everything went great and we decided to board him there for 2 week. They sent us videos of him playing in the yard and were just wonderful! After we got back we had to board him again as a ton of friends/family were going to be in town and we knew that would be too much for him, so we took him back here and I will never forget the moment he saw the staff members again and he RAN straight into their arms. I have honestly NEVER seen our dog do that with any one else besides us. I was so shocked!! It goes without saying we will be taking our pup back there whenever we have to board him. This staff is absolutely amazing with even the most fearful dogs! I highly recommend!! There customer service with both humans and dogs is outstanding.

Skip always love going to Taurus! The staff are friendly, dog-loving, and energetic. He is always happy to go. The pictures and comments are nice to see when we are away from him.

Taurus Academy has been such a find for us with our Flatcoated Retriever KiKi! We got her last July as a six month old pup. What a bundle of energy! In addition to that she was scared of everyone & everything! She wouldn't get into the car, so first I had Kelsey, one of their trainers come out & help with that. Then once we cleared that hurdle we started taking her for play dates. The difference in KiKi after a year of going there is phenomenal! She is much less timid, and actually listens to commands. She used to literally leap out of the car when we would go anywhere, & now because of the fantastic folks at Taurus she actually waits for me to grab her leash & get her out! She is much better on walks than she used to be too. I credit them for that, because we do walks there every couple of weeks to keep her on track. She also gets her bath there as well. She is a 75 pound dog, so having them do her bath has been great! We also have boarded her there, & that is such a great feeling to know that the staff loves her & we always have a place for her if we need it! Every single one of the staff has been amazing to KiKi! She goes twice a week now. My husband & I say that KiKi goes to "school" now and has playdates with her favorite dogs! You won't go wrong with Taurus Academy Lake Travis!

Austin Pets Alive recommended Taurus, and they have been extraordinarily helpful. I adopted a dog who (while very sweet) tends towards excitable, rough play — which made me very nervous about introducing him to other dogs. Taurus's free "Evaluation Day" is a must. They put my dog in a bunch of different social situations and gave me very useful feedback on how he "performed." Their staff walked me through it in detail and patiently answered my many questions about how to handle him. They clearly love dogs and are here to help.

Straight forward, on point place to shoot. They do and verify all of the things we need to keep us safe. I recommend this place

Maya loves this place. We have taken her a few times for day school and boarding and highly recommend the convenient location. The hours are excellent.

We have been taking our dogs to Taurus for 10 years, once a week for a Play Day. They have learned valuable social skills, and they love going there. The extra benefit is that when we need to board them, they think going to Taurus is a vacation for them. Every other place we've ever used made our dogs apprehensive about being left. Not here. The dogs are thrilled to be there.

We have used Taurus Academy in Lakeway for years. We have 4 dogs that have either boarded or spent the day playing at Taurus. The team members are attentive and really care about our pets. I would recommend them in a heartbeat!

We have had a very good experience so far with their boarding/ care services and their training for our 6 month old golden doodle. Kelsie (training director) has been successful at teaching Finn (puppy)some necessary skills in their 14 day residential program. (We convinced the dog he was going to summer camp. Ha) We are only part of the way through the process but so far so good. We are now attempting to facilitate training transfer to our home.We'll see if we learned as much as our puppy did. I will update the review as we progress through the remainder of the process.

Our dog Yoshi is a big guy who likes his space and lots of one on one attention. We had an extended trip where we needed him taken care of. We did the board and train program. Yoshi came back to us well mannered, happy and very obedient. We will continue to use Taurus for boarding and training.

Our Rufus has been enjoying time at Taurus since he was a puppy. And he is 11 years old now! He is so well cared for and he is always super excited to spend time there! Highly recommend!!!

I left my sweet puppy at Taurus Academy when my pet-sitter cancelled at the last minute. I was a bit anxious about leaving her, but everyone was so nice and reassuring. I got a full tour of the facility and got to see where she would be staying. When I came to pick her up three days later, she was happy to see me, but also gave kisses and tail wags to all the Taurus staff. I can tell they took great loving care of her! I will use them again.

We love the people of Taurus Academy!! They are what makes it tick. They treat our sweet dog so well and she loves going!! She comes home after playday tired and so happy! Her 2 week training at 8 months was transformative e for all of us! They got her started on the right track to great behavior and habits - like chewing only on her stuff, not our stuff!! Amazing. Weekly playday for the last 4 yrs plus have reinforced the productive behavior and we have such a well socialized rescue dog!!
