The store is super cute and their employees clearly really love pets. They helped me find a couple of good options for treat toys for my two Rhodesian ridgebacks. Everybody was so kind and loved on my pets while I was there. Very happy with all my purchases and my customer service experience.

Can’t more strongly recommend this local gem! They have tons of treat, toy, and food options for dogs and there’s always parking right out front. The staff is incredibly kind, knowledgeable and accommodating. This shop is worth going out of your way for.

Great locally-owned pet store! Everyone on staff is very friendly and seems to be really great with animals, unlike at bigger, national chain stores. They never hesitate to help you out with a recommendation, even Keith, the owner, when he’s at the store. The staff has helped me pick out new food for my older dog, who is a super picky eater, and age-appropriate treats for my puppy. Also, they have this fresh dog froyo that my dogs absolutely love.

Keith and his team are so awesome! Paws gives back to the community and they really care about their customers. Please support local!!

We absolutely adore Paws on Chicon in my house! Everytime we go, the staff is incredibly friendly and helpful, Gryff loves the pets and treats (especially the froyo) and I love the personal environment and the knowledgeable staff. If you have a question, they have the answer. Their owner Keith is a hands down great guy and this local spot deserves every sale that they make. These people care about our community and my family cares about them.

Came by today to support Austin Animal Center and grab a few treats! @battyintexas loved her Grrrona cookie! I didn't know they had a self serve dog wash station! The dog was clean and had everything you could want and then some to wash your pup! I will be back to use this for sure! Keep up the great work!

I finally was able to stop in after passing by a million times. This is such a awesome store. They were literally closed, but hadn't locked the doors. I walk in to grab some treats and an jacket. They didn't rush me they let me look around and asked if I needed help. They guided me to what I was looking for, and while checking out they gave me some samples to take home for my Miniature Pinscher to try. Now that's customer service. I'll be back soon.

Great local spot with a variety of options for pets, plus a pet car wash! Little on the pricier side but well worth it to shop local.

Best pet food. Best staff. Vest place period. Staff is so helful and friendly and knowledgeable. Its amaizng! Only place to go. And you can earn free food bags!

Wish I could leave 10 stars! Recently moved in the area and decided to check this place out and I’m so glad I did! It’s the perfect pet shop. My dogs are obsessed with the donuts, and the self serve tubs are the most convenient things ever! + The staff is amazing! If you haven’t checked this place out it’s a must!

Store workers too preachy, pushy, and condescending. It's not good service to lecture on one's preferred pet food preferences when not asked for it esp. when the pet's diet is based on what was recommended to us by our vet (which unfortunately we consider more valid than a store worker, sorry). It's not very convincing to speak to the customer as if they haven't done the research or care enough to feed their pet correctly. Very awkward and unnecessary.

Every time I interact with this business (online or in person), I’m met with great customer service. Paws on Chicon is a local small biz and Keith and his staff go above and beyond!! Every time I come into the store, I’m met with kindness. These folks really care about your fur babies and take the time to educate and explain nutrition and make suggestions based on your pet and their needs. As someone who fosters and has two pups (one high anxiety), I know I can trust Paws on Chicon to make good suggestions with their needs in mind. They also offer local free delivery, which is really convenient. If you want to support a great local business, this is the place for you! Also, my pitbull destroys everything in minutes and they made a recommendation for a bone that’s lasted 1.5 hours and counting!!!!!

The owner and staff are so incredibly helpful, and not just in a “can I help you find something” way. I came in looking for food for my cat with a urinary issue and the owner printed a store branded info sheet on urinary tract issues. They provided me some recommendations and product samples so I could see if my cat would like the food (cats are so picky!) I was looking for a particular brand and flavor, which the owner said they could order for me since they didn’t carry it, but I have instead switched my cats over to a frozen raw diet. My cats fur has gotten so much softer since switching! Paws on Chicon has a rewards program that includes the frozen raw bags where every 12th bag you get free.

Such a great place you can tell the love for fur babies are real and genuine very warm and loving environment will def be a returning customer go support you won’t regret …….

Took my dog in for a bath. Had a great experience. The sales associate walked me through the process and provided great customer service. They also had a great selection of dog treats available.

Great pet shop with a friendly owner. They have parking right out front and help customers with items as needed. Always a sweet spot to get treats, food, collars, and other such items. They’re also selective of what they carry and can answer a lot of questions :)

After moving to Austin after living in NYC & LA, I can definitively say Paws on Chicon is my favorite dog store out there! The staff is extremely, extremely knowledgable about dog food and are always so warm both to me and my puppy when we go in. The store has an incredible selection of high quality dog food, toys, and more. We're also huge fans of their self-wash for anyone else who has anxious pups that don't like someone else washing them. On top of all that, you can shop with the happiness of knowing you're supporting an awesome local business. No matter where you live in Austin area - it's worth the drive!

Sadie (my pup) and I love Paws on Chicon! They always carry high quality food and treats and the staff is super knowledgeable. For the first time yesterday, we used one of their dog wash stations. I wasn’t sure how it would go but it was perfect. It was the easiest bath I’ve ever given Sadie. Highly recommend if you don’t have a tub or another convenient way to wash your dog at home.

I took Ms. Lilo (my dog) here today after a morning at swimming at barking springs and the staff was very helpful and they’re self service dog wash was pawwwfect!!
