Lovely barn with quality horses and instruction! ❤️ Cassandra took the time to assess and match my daughter with the right horse. She's fantastic! Lauren Mae loves it here. And they have cam holiday and summer camps!! Come try it out!!!

I have been riding at this barn for almost 4 years now and I have never been happier with a barn or a trainer. I have ridden and owned horses all of my life and over the years I have ridden at various barns where it seems like the priority is on the money not the horses or individual clients. However, at Madrone, Rachel Lindsey does this because of her deep passion for horses above all else. When I first moved to Madrone, she had recently become the owner and since then she has become head trainer and has turned it into an amazing place to train and ride either at a very high competition level, or simply to have fun with horses. I want the best care for my horses and this barn offers some of the best care I have seen. Her deep love for horses and training reflects in her clients and their happiness and success.

I am an adult rider and I've been a client of the owner, Rachel, for over 10 years. I bought a young horse in law school that I ended up moving to Madrone Ranch when Rachel took over. She took my mare, Mabel, from her first show in the baby jumpers, through the young jumpers, and up to grand prix. Rachel is organized, professional, ethical, and dedicated to her clients. She competes at A-rated shows all over the country and her clients and their horses are competitive at all different levels because of her training program. The facility is beautiful, clean and well maintained and the staff are friendly. The turnouts are big and grassy and Madrone has a big indoor and outdoor arena and trails. She also has good connections with local veterinarians and a great farrier (and I'm picky!) who comes to the barn regularly. Overall, a highly recommended Austin-area barn for all levels, especially those looking to compete at a high level.

When I was making a change and moving down from Chicago to Austin,I wanted to find a barn that would provide the best care for my horse as well as continue his training in a positive and supportive community. This facility is one of a kind! Head Trainer Rachel Lindsey takes the time to Understand the needs of each horse and rider. Would highly recommend her as a trainer

I have my horses in training with Rachel Lindsey at Madrone Ranch after being at another facility for years with another trainer. In less than 2 months with Rachel, I saw so much improvement with all 3 of my horse's jumping. Rachel has so much knowledge about good horsemanship both in the saddle as well as general care and maintenance, however, she is always open to what your wants and needs are as a client and horse owner. There is constant communication and she genuinely cares about the horses and loves them all the same - from the retired show ponies to the Grand Prix jumpers. In addition to the care and training, the horses love the facility. They have large stalls with huge runs, and some stalls have mattresses - not mats, but mattresses. Big grass pastures, a large outdoor riding arena as well as a covered arena for when it is too hot or raining and both arenas have lights for evening riding, trails, excellent grooms (and offer full groom service), a locker room where everyone gets their own wooden locker and one of the best barn managers you could ask for, Jenni, who is very organized and communicates regularly about everything. My horses have had great success at their first few shows with Rachel and against tough competition, but with her expertise and guidance, they are excelling and just getting better and better. I know a lot has to do with the fact that my horses really like Rachel and they respect her! They respond so well to her and I trust her completely with her training and care.
