Jackie’s is the best! Our dog LOVES all the people there (wags her tail for them any morning we bring her in!) because they’re obviously so sweet to her. They’ve gotten to know her temperament over time and help her socialize with people and dogs while she’s there. She always comes home worn out and sleeps hard! Affordable too! Boarding over weekends and holidays has also been great (they do naps and grooming and have indoor and outdoor options).

Had my puppy stay over the holiday for five nights. They posted him on Instagram, they replied to all my emails, and they were amazing at pick up. I did request a bath, that they were not able to complete so my dog was a little dirty but after six days of play I understand this and they did let me know at drop off that they might not be able to complete. The staff LOVES dogs and my dogs love them. One of the few places left in Austin that lets your dog play outside for most of the day.

Would highly recommend seeking other options. We brought our dog to Jackie’s 4 different occasions and asked for a bath at the end of each stay to clean him up after playing with other dogs. We never received one bath and upon pickup he was covered in feces and urine. On one separate occasion he had fleas. We split the food into individual meals for each day he was there, but there was a good amount of food left when we picked him up. They do not allow toys or bedding to be brought to comfort your animals and we were not aware of this prior to boarding. When we brought up these concerns to the General Manager, they got extremely defensive and didn’t help us in any way. There are a lot of great options for day care for pets in Austin and I have had much better experiences elsewhere.

[Note update below.] While my puppy enjoys going there, the facility is old and dirty. The lobby is out-of-date looking and smells nasty (like dirty wet dog and pet waste). Every time I pick her up from day care her paws and legs are filthy. When I asked about it, I was told "some just can't resist the puddles after it rains" -- putting the blame on my puppy. The last thing I want to do after a long day is bathe my dog after every visit. I regret buying a package of 20, but I won't be "saving them for a rainy day" that's for sure. [Update follows] I was promptly refunded for the remaining prepaid visits and was informed the facility will be moving to a new space nearby in early 2022. It will have epoxy on the floors so it will be easier to keep clean. I plan to check it out when they move, as it is the closest daycare to my home and otherwise seems well-managed.

Absolutely amazing place to bring your dogs! The dogs spend all day playing not kenneled and the staff love all of the dogs. We have been going for about 2 years and will not take our fur baby anywhere else.

It's been about a month since my bad experience and I am still pretty upset about it so to get it off my chest I felt I needed to share. It's encouraging to see that Jackie's has some great reviews, I just wish my experience had matched what I read from others. The team that work there are nice enough, but I do feel like my situation could have been handled much differently. The short of the long is I received a call at work to come pick up my dog in the middle of the day because he had been bitten on the ear. I was told that the incident was not seen, but they heard it - and the assumption is that my dog did not read the social signs of the other dog and in turn, was bit. I proceed to go pick up my dog, and when I ask for more information about incident when I arrived, I was told the same thing. Seems a bit odd to me that no one could give anymore information. But also, they stated they had never had an issue with the dog that bit my dog. So basically, it was all my dogs fault. I was also told in so many words that my dog is not welcome back. And to beat it all, I was still charged for the day when I had to leave work to go pick up my dog from being bit on the ear. My dog is a pup, very sweet, but admittingly, he does get excited when around other dogs. He is not aggressive, and has certainly never bit another dog. You would think there would be some policies in place to assist dogs that are just trying to be social rather than punish them for being bitten and then asked not to come back. The whole situation is unfortunate, but I think it could have been handled differently from the team at Jackie's. We were asked not to come back, and we certainly won't - but I do hope that this was a learning experience for them as well.

I am a newer client of Jackie’s and I love it. You honestly cannot beat the price. My dog comes home tried and happy. I love that any time I have a question about my dog they have an answer or get me one instantly. I have been working on some training with my dog and have asked them to help me with jumping, they called it over the radio in front of me and have been giving me feedback on pick up anytime I ask! It is a little hard to get ahold of them by phone but I have learned to email them as they are prompt to reply there. Sadly some days do fill up so I try to book ahead, but for the price I expect that. They are also doing tours again. I asked and they told me a good time!

Good Daycare. Terrible Reservation System. The Good: Cost effective and popular doggie daycare in an area easily accessible off of the frontage. Dogs are able to run around in an open environment and when picking my dog up at the end of the day I can say with confidence she's been thoroughly wiped out. The workers CLEARLY love the dogs and I feel confident leaving my pup in their care. The Okay: There doesn’t seem to be any structure or obedience training paired with daycare. Compared to competitors I've not received any follow up or guidance on what activities are done for the dogs/my dogs behavior at Jackie's Play and Stay. The pricing is extremely competitive. But I'm led to believe the dogs are simply allowed to run around and have a good time under human supervision. You'll drop your dog off into a small lobby, request that they follow through on things you're working on (don't allow jumping, leash pulling, etc.), and hope for the best. The Bad: My experience making online reservations has been a big pain point with Jackie's Play and Stay. Online navigation and scheduling of reservations is fine. But the 'request pending' step for approval of a reservation needs a lot of work. Reservation approval lacks urgency and can completely flip plans on their head. My case: - Schedule daycare reservation on Monday for Wednesday (two days ahead). This puts me in a 'request pending' state. - Receive no news of my request updating on Tuesday. To my mistake, end up assuming the reservation is good to go. - I arrive at 7:25AM and am told I've made no reservations. I let them know that I had two days prior and am then told I would have gotten a 'request denied' response -- I haven't. But the daycare is full! - I leave with a wrench thrown in my plans. However, on checking my phone--lo and behold! I see the reservation request denial sent to me at 7:07AM. On Wednesday. What I learned from this experience is online reservations need to be scheduled well in advance and MUST be followed through over the phone to confirm your reservation. I'm left to believe someone neglected to review requests, then realized "oh no, I forgot to review requests!" and threw my plans under the bus. Rejecting a reservation on the day of after two days of supposed review is extremely unprofessional. It immediately incentivizes me to spend $15 extra to guarantee reliable service with behavior training attached with competitors.

Lots of new faces my dog isn’t as comfortable anymore as it takes time to trust. The new kids are nice however one blonde guy infront can give off attitude. Not the biggest deal until I heard from a fellow customer that he sent his dog home with the wrong owner. Not sure if I will continue using this facility but I will give the rest of the new faces a try.

This place might love my puppy almost as much as I do. They are always kind and professional and don’t mind Jupiter hopping up and down to greet me (the best part of my day!). They’re always happy to make last minute reservations and are always excited to see Jupe. Jupiter comes home exhausted and sleeps all evening and the next day too. I wouldn’t take her anywhere else

By far the best boarding experience in and around Austin. If you haven’t already check out their Instagram and you’ll immediately realize how much they love these doggos.

Jackie's is great!! Our dog loves coming here, the facility is very big, lots of room to run around and play all day. The staff is very accommodating, always greeting us with a smile! It's super easy to book daycare reservations online. Thank you for everything you do!! Highly recommend!

There’s a reason they are the highest rated in the area. We couldn’t have asked for a better doggy daycare for our pup, Izzy. The staff is amazing and we love seeing photos that they post on social daily. They also do boarding and the hours are super convenient for drop off and pick up.

They are so quick to respond and helpful with all of my questions. My little guy had a BLAST on his first day and I loved getting a report card at the end of the day telling me what he had done and the friends he made. We will definitely be back A LOT!

Jackie’s has my business for keeps. The staff is really attentive and caring for your pet. I literally have to hold my dog back when we go to Jackie’s, she loves it so much. She always has a good time and comes back a happy pup.

The staff make this place the best...both to people and the dogs. They love what they do and it shows. When Quint comes home and sleeps, I know he has had a busy day. You all rock!

Staff was very nice and my puppy seemed happy after her first time being away from me for a long period of time. I heard many wonderful comments prior so that was a relief.

Jackie's Play & Stay is the absolute best doggy day care place ever. Our dog loves going and we love how tired and happy he is when he gets home. They even post photos on Instagram for us to see our boy having a great time with the other dogs!

Great facility and the staff are always friendly and wonderful with the dogs. Our dog gets separation anxiety but is always happy to leave us at Jackie's. Can't offer any better recommendation than that.

This place is clutch. The folks who work here are generally nice people. Whenever I’ve read people’s negative reviews, while I get where they might have a minor grievance, those reviews don’t realize the big picture; it’s hard to manager and watch a bunch of dogs simultaneously! Our dog has had nothing but the best care. Bringing him here has helped with his anxiety. Even going once to twice a week, I never leave with any concerns regarding this business. Thanks for taking care of my little boy!

First day at Jackie’s! They were very responsive to not only my dog but also my personal anxiety about leaving my dog alone for the first time at a daycare. They even called me after I had dropped off my pup and was on the verge of tears to reassure me he was doing great. It made me feel better to know he was safe and cared for. He had a blast and even got a report card for the day. We will be back for sure.

Had an incredible experience here, even during Covid. They were attentive, helpful, so sweet to my dog, and he was EXHAUSTED from his day of daycare. It's hard to exhaust my 7 month old yellow lab but he was so tired (and I was so happy). Will absolutely return. Thanks to everyone at Jackie's.
