I feel incredibly comfortable with Century Animal Hospital and the nice staff who were so accommodating for my scared kitty. They were so gentle and sweet with her. They even checked up the next day to make sure she didn't have any allergic reactions to her shots.

We have finally found our forever veterinarian home at Century Animal Hospital! We had a veterinarian we loved when we lived in the Hill Country but have struggled to find consistent great vet care in south Austin. We fully understand that finding a sure diagnosis on a sick pet can be extremely challenging unfortunately our last vet clinic had no contuity of care between in house and rotating vets. It resulted in multiple visits for even simple issues. We all know our pets almost as well as our kiddos and when concise info was given and dismissed we ended up at the emergency vet constantly. One after another of the ER vets told us there was no way ANY vet should have missed the vast majority of those issues-doctors do not easily say these things about other vets so I requested all of our pets records and was horrified by the inconsistencies I found and encourage anyone with concerns to do the same. I am very sad our pets suffered because of that but we now have the most devoted pair of veterinarians I have ever known. I PROMISE this team will go above and beyond to care for your fur babies. They and their wonderful, wonderful staff are honestly the kindest and most empathetic group I have ever had the pleasure of dealing with. I have been amazed that both veterinarians and the staff remember not only us but each of our critters everytime we have called. They have all comforted me with immense patience through a few aweful trying times and I will be forever grateful. My only reluctance in giving such an honest glowing review is that they may become too busy!! Just kidding-my hope is that everyone that needs the best of care for their beloved pets ends up here. * a quick note regarding a few of the comments regarding costs..this clinic is in no way more expensive than most. They have actually been more reasonably priced than our previous veterinarian clinic and have ALWAYS provided an estimate for us. They are never pushy about additional testing and we have found them to be more than respectful and understanding of the cost of pet care and the impact it has on pet owners.

If you’re looking for the most expensive way to treat your pet with the most difficult vet definitely go here. She’ll deny inexpensive tests only to drag you through the most expensive options. Ya know, just to get those out of the way first ????

Dr. Glowski was absolutely amazing and so attentive! She fit our cat Lucas in as an urgent appointment when she was booked for the day and did everything she could to figure out what was wrong with him! She consulted and educated my partner and I before proceeding with any testing/treatment and made sure to make us feel as thought the treatment was in our hands! Although the bill was pretty pricy, the clinic offers Care Credit and other options for fur parents which was sooo helpful! I’m so appreciative of her and her team, they really made us feel as though they cared for our fur baby Lucas and he wasn’t just another dollar sign.

The Dr. and entire staff were absolutely wonderful and informative throughout my whole experience here. I've been coming here for years (for my cat about 10 years ago and now for my English bulldog) and won't go to another vet as long as Century is open. They truly care about your pets and you.

Century has proven to be everything great for the care of my dog. All staff have been kind, responsive, honest, helpful, and above all they treat my dog like he is their own pet. Anything my dog has needed or I’ve had questions on, they have provided with professionalism and compassion. They even check in after vaccines/appointments when treatment was given to make sure everything is okay. Thankful for the Century team !

The staff at this location seem to really care. I didn't have an appointment but my pet was in a pretty bad place. They moved things around to make sure my pet was seen. They also listened, took feedback, and overall seemed very genuine. Cost is another story but I'll chalk that one up to being a new pet owner and oblivious to what is considered normal cost for emergency pet care.

They helped me when my cat had an abscess on her gum that was keeping her from eating, and took great care of her through the entire process. It did cost a little more than I expected, but they helped me find a payment plan that worked for me and never pressured me into treatments I couldn't afford. this is the first vet's office I've found that my cat doesn't hate, and the staff are very friendly and helpful.

I recently moved to Austin, and this was my first and last time using this vet. I took my cat, Dora, in because she had been constantly smacking her lips and I had read that it can be an infection in a tooth or something. They ran a bunch of tests, costing $366, to rule everything else out, and determined they should clean her teeth and decide if any extractions were needed after she was under anesthesia. They quoted me a price range of $555-$914. I personally confirmed with Dr. Carballo the most I would be out of pocket was $914 more. I agreed and scheduled the appointment. After bringing her in, they have to keep her all day because of the anesthesia. I received the following in a text message from this vet clinics office during my cat's procedure, "Hey there, Jay from Century Animal Hospital here. Dora is doing great under anesthesia. I wanted to let you know Dr. Carballo looked at the x-rays and it looks like Dora will need to have a couple of extractions, one of which is a lower canine and may very well be the reason for her smacking her lips. These are complicated teeth to remove, so Dr. Carballo wanted me to tell you it's possible we may be slightly above our estimate, but she's hoping that won't be the case. Are you ok with us continuing?" I replied to this message with, "ok" because I was already in so much money with this clinic, and Dora needed help. They ended up charging me $1,080, $166 more than the high point of their so-called "price range estimate".

Century Animal Hospital, Dr. Carballo and all her staff are amazing. They are the only vet I will take my pets to in Austin. I have 2 cats and most recently my partner and I got a mastiff puppy. Something we kept seeing online was bloat in mastiffs and other giant breeds. After some researching online we kept reading that gastropexies are the best solution. After we talked to Dr. Carballo we decided to go for it when we got her spay. Best decision ever. Now we wont have to worry about bloat and the potential of expensive surgery or worse death due to her stomach turning. She went into surgery, they kept me updated all day with pics and texts about her recovery. Picked her up at night and 2 weeks later everything was healed! If you are debating the gastropexie, just do it. Its always better safe than sorry.

One of my two 7 month old kittens had to make an trip to an emergency vet yesterday. He cut his leg open with a glass cup he had jumped into and broke, so I found the closest vet that could help and drove on over. They were fantastic! They were able to help him despite having quite a few appointments, and were able to give me an estimate on how much it would cost beforehand, including the emergency fee. When they had him, I had asked how long it would take, and they sent me an absolute gem of a photo and let me know that he was doing fantastic. Lucifer was treated very well, and I'm pretty sure the staff loved him and how snuggly of a kitten he was. Their communication on everything was fantastic, and it made me feel so much better knowing that he was in good hands. Even his little medicine bag they took the time to write his name and make it really cute! I am going to come back here if I have any issues with my 18 year old cat or either of my kittens. He has been doing well since he got home and I can tell just feels better from the help.

We found an abandoned kitten on the side of the road. None of the city-run shelters would help us. We called numerous vets around the area and none of them had openings. We called Century and they were able to see her the same day even though they were super busy. The techs and receptionists were all super friendly and the Doctor was super knowledgeable. The prices were lower than even the "affordable" vets. We are a dog household so we will be transferring our 3 dogs care to Century.

I was referred to Dr. Caraballo by a neighbor. He said she was very compassionate about the animals and he was pleased with her treatment of his dogs. I found her to be very communicative, informative, personable and she had many reasonable suggestions for my dog. I will continue with Dr. Caraballo and have referred to a co-worker.

The staff here were incredibly helpful and friendly when my cat was ill. Between appointments she suddenly started vomiting, and they squeezed me in immediately - no wait, all I had to do was get in the car and make the drive. They also helped me figure out a payment plan when my cat's operation cost more than I could pay out of pocket.

They are very nice, but both times I've gone there, with a different puppy each time, i end up being charged for an exam and then sent somewhere else. If you need to update your fur baby's shots, come here. If you need anything more serious, go somewhere else.
