Terrible place, I came here after my bff mojo passed away on me, went in the back found the perfect puppy and was ready to adopt then the ogre behind the desk decides that she needs time to think about selling the puppy, says she call in few days let me know. Then what does the liar do? Goes and sells him to someone else and doesn't even apologize. This is abilene though and I don't expect much from this town:)

Incredibly helpful. Our car we adopted was fixed, had her shots, and got her chipped then and there. Quick easy and completely worth it. If you need a companion in your life, go see them.

Force you to do things you shouldn't have to do! It's your pet not theirs...

Melissa and team are the most gracious, most kind, most intelligent, extremely knowledgeable, and friendliest folks on the planet! Bravo to the entire staff! Beautifully kept place, clean and organized! You rock! I could only be so lucky to be a cat or dog, staying at your hotel, as I await a perminant forever home! Yes, I am the one who Melissa chose for Simon, the HUGE CHOCOLATE SIAMESE, and the gentleman who lost his wife recently, wanted Simon as his new companion! I gave Simon up so the gentleman could have his wish! I have experienced such depression by doing so, and I hope a pray Simon is loved in his new forever home! I love you Simon! Cheers! Michael

Super nice people! Mary Jane, Mike and Melissa went out of their way to help us adopt a puppy days before Christmas 2019. We flew in from Boston to get our new puppy. They had all the paperwork ready for our flight home. Everything went smooth. Cashew has a loving home!

We adopted Maggie Love almost 3 weeks ago, she is full of energy but wanting to please. We love our Maggie girl already! So happy we got her in our home.

Awesome improvements! They really care for the pets and are a good group to support.

The staff is friendly and truly care about the animals in their care. They socialize them and are very interested in matching anyone with their next best buddy based on animal personalities (which tells you how well they get to know the animals). The hours are sparse and short but it’s a small nonprofit so that’s to be expected. Their bark park is a great place for dogs with better enforced rules than the one by the zoo.

They love their animals here unlike the shelter. I got my Tank from here

Amazing staff and super clean facility. These sweet babies are all definitely loved and you can tell the minute you walk in. Everyone was super sweet and when I found the sweetest kitten to adopt on 10/29/18, they all said bye to her and wished us well. :). I highly recommend this place and would definitely adopt there again. Bailey Bear ( Tia) has been with us 2 weeks and she definitely completes our family. :)

Very rude staff members, open paint thinner around all animals even the smell out it in the waiting room made me sick. Unsafe and unpleasant. Would not recommend.

They're really working hard to regions the animals. But they're overwhelmed with new arrivals. They really need volunteers!

I got my best friend Joe here, who I love dearly, about 2 year ago. He is a big part of my life; from two years ago alllll the way to today. Taylor Jones has a great staff who cares and they will go out of their way to help you! <3 Remember when you get your new best friend it's for life, don't adopt on a whim but be absolutely sure of your choice! It's not just about you, but the life of the beautiful animal your about to bring into your home. ADOPT DON'T SHOP! (Meaning don't buy one from a pet store - puppy mills are horrible!)
