Got my 3 sick cats in last minute for me awesome place 2nd time using him never going anywhere else

I was just on the phone with him trying to explain what's wrong with my cat and he kept cutting me off. He was very rude and hardly let me get a word in. I finally hung up because there was no point. Please see someone else and report him.

I just want to make a moment to say thank you!! My sweet boy has parvo. N most vets would just do test n send you home to watch your baby die if you don't have 10000 to iv them. Not this one!! He treated my boy n sent us home with treatment!! For a very good price. You Sr are my angel today. Thank you. We look forward to you becoming our packs new vet!

So i brought my best friend in, i had her for 7 years and she got sick so i brought her in and he barely even looked at her and when he got in there the next morning she was dead. i brought another kitten of mine in because she electrocuted herself and she was in with him for about 2 1/2 days before he called me saying she passed. he was rude when he talked to me and i had to cats die in his care in the spam of less than a month.

This vet was so rude. I will never go there..He said to me if I do not like his attitude too bad so sad.. Really??

Vet is straightforward and efficient. Actually helps the animal and moves on instead of inflating the bill as much as possible like other vet offices

First time user of this vet and have to say i couldn't be any happier. Got my two cats in to be spayed and nutterd the very next day at 8am and picked them back up at 3pm. The Doc at firts was a little stand offish but after talking to the guy when i went to pick up the cats i found him to be very interesting.I highly recommend this vet and note to other commenters, dont be so quick to judge others for you might just past up a good chance to make a friend. He does throw debit cards. I read the reviews and thought there was no way that could be true, that would be totally unnecessary. It is true. Now, I took a dog to him in the past and I know he can be caring and compassionate to these animals, I’ve seen it. I just feel like the best way to ensure the best care for your client (the animal) is to take your time and be educational and informative to their owners. I wish he could have been that vet for us, I wish I could have felt like I could learn from him. Instead I felt rushed in and out, my dog was given a vaccination and nothing was said to me about potential side effects. He did have side effects. I assumed the lethargic behavior was a normal injection reaction, but it was the first time this had ever occurred, and of course just like humans they can have minor reactions. I just wish my appointment was worth more than 2 minutes of his time, I just wish something had been said to me about what to watch for; because the truth is my dog can’t speak for himself to tell me. It’s disappointing, but I received a referral for Dr. Bloodgood and that seems like he’s going to be everything we need.

Perhaps Dr. Hitchcock's skills in caring for animals is satisfactory, but his people skills are non-existent. I thought it odd when he answered the phone himself when calling to set up an appointment. But after meeting him in person I realize that he probably can't keep any employees given his rude, condescending attitude. Maybe he loves and adores certain types of people and animals, but he had no empathy toward the animals we brought in, and was openly hostile toward every human I saw him interact with.

I had my cat neutered there yesterday. My cat did very well. He didn't get sick or act like he had pain. Totally back to normal today! I'm grateful for Dr. Hitchcock participating in the voucher program.

Vet told me since I was using a coupon voucher I would get poor quality service and get what I paid for

Tried to just ask questions after a surgery and the Dr. was incredibly rude and told us to just go home and get over it. We were not even upset just wanted to know what we could do to help our dog be comfortable. Ended up having to take her to another vet right after.

I called to schedule an appointment for my cat and the Vet answered the phone, he was the most unprofessional, vile man! I finally just hung up on him after he started yelling. How can you run an establishment and be so hateful! I definitely would not trust this vile human with my fur babies!

Last April I took my 14 year old sweetest cat in to be put to sleep. My usual vet was unavailable and she had taken a turn for the worse. The Dr was rude, uncaring and virtually dragged her to a metal table covered with a grill when he thought she was going to vomit as she died in my arms. (She didn't vomit and I would have cleaned it up if she had, my baby was dying!!) She was left on a cold table wrapped in her blanket and when I went to pay, I kid you not, he threw my debit card at me!! THREW it!! I'm sure he is a competent veterinarian but if you seek a compassionate passing for your pet, look else where. I'm still upset 10 months later. (I've written this now because just lost my 16 year old at my regular vet clinic, totally different experience, kind, compassionate, genuinely caring. Very different.)

The man I talked to suggested putting my pet in the freezer to kill it myself because it's cheaper. That's an incredibly painful way to kill any reptile, and I was disgusted that anyone who claims to care about animals would suggest that. …

Love this doctor/ man. We were able to get in easily. Our kitten was spayed and has healed great. No unnecessary drugs or materials were pushed on us. This is a genuine man that loves animals, and wants to perform a just service. Dr. Hitchcock is genuine and to the point. I enjoyed his dry sense of humor as well :) we will definitely be bringing our dogs, cat, and any future animals here, to him!

He is just a great Vet! Always up front and to the point! This is the place to take your babies (pets)!

I happened to stumble upon this clinic and Dr. Hitchcock when a cat wondered up to our back porch severely injured. After calling clinic after clinic, Dr. Hitchcock answered on the first ring and requested we come in immediately. He was very direct and very knowledgeable. With his help, we were able to save the cat and she has full mobility. We have since taken other injured animals in to see him and he always provides the best care and guidance. So very very thankful for Dr. Hitchcock and his clinic.

My dog needed care and on referral I took her to Dr. Hitchcock. No regrets. Dr. Hitchcock was straightforward and my dog received professional and top notch care. I trust Buffalo Gap Road Animal Clinic with my best friend, and they have my future patronage. When I make it back to Alaska, Dr. Hitchcock is on my short list for sending salmon jerky.

I wish I could give zero stars. For a Doctor, you would think they would be respectable and caring. Dr. Hitchcock was very rude when I was asking a question and then hung up on me. Never in all my years living here had a vet clinic that rude to a patient. I called him back and he then decided to yell at me. I would never trust this place to take care of my furr babies. Save yourslef the trouble and go to any other vet clinic here. Big Country Vet is one of the best.

Just moved to the area and I was looking for a VET close to me and found DR. Hitchcock and I'm glad did. At first you may think that he is a little rough around the edges but that is the best part about him straight to the point and good information about your pet. I needed a appointment right away and I got one and was a big help. If my friends ever need a VET I will tell them about DR. Hitchcock.
