I have called many times on a loose dog. It has attack my dog twice. Animal control will do nothing about this dog. They would not even come out yesterday when call. The dog bit my dog thru my fence and lasserated her neck. This is not rite. Now I have to fill a formal complaint to have the owners restrain their dog properly.

Place is clean. Animals seem happy and the staff are friendly.

Very understanding and try very hard to make sure you get the right animal. More helpful then north 3rd street in Abilene.

Held my new dog 24hrs until I could get there from out of state. Very nice. compassionate people. Adoption went well.. Thank you!

Staff were very friendly and place was as clean as it can be. They house so many dogs!! They have got some beautiful animals there just waiting for adoption. I wish I could have helped but I already took 3 a while back. I went and donated 3 large bags of food. If you get a chance please help them out, every little bit counts. Thank you, staff, for giving those fur babies another chance to find a home!! You are all doing great.

The staff at the front desk were wonderful, and I was able to adopt my kitty Finch quickly.

I really can't say anything bad...my husband was a city employee for 20 yrs and passed away last year... but people should always be kind to others. Golden ticket or not...

Found a wonderful 5 month old mixed breed pup. She has blossomed since we got her home. Staff so helpful, they so want each animal to find a good forever home.

People here are really hard workers ... very nice people I've adopted several cats and adopted off a couple dogs were too big for us .???? ..I just wished they had a new bigger place..... it's been there since I was a kid ... I'm 49 so it's probably older than me ....but a great place to adopted for sure

We used them to have dearly departed 13 to Samoyed, Natalya, cremated. They were wonderful and when we are ready to adopt, we'll go there!!

The front desk staff was very accommodating and showed their heart for their job. I really appreciate their concern and willingness to help me with a stray dog I happened upon. Thank you ladies!

They helped us find the perfect dog for our family! His is Riggs and an absolute godsend to us. He loves playing with our younger dog and is extremely affectionate. The staff was wonderful helping us find a new fur baby for our house.

They were amazing! Took awesome care of Buddy! I was so thankful. I was tickled and impressed they called to follow up and check on him.

Lady at the front desk was very mean and unprofessional. I asked si.ple questions amd got smart remarks back. Not a very good look if your trying to get animals new homes.

A bit understaffed when I stopped in, but the staff was friendly, helpful, and very clearly cared for the animals. They were thorough with instructions to people leaving with a new pet, and we're grateful for each adoption

Never came for stray puppy.

When my Max went missing I didn't find him for two weeks only to find out he was at the shelter the whole time. They had him on quarantine for ten days. His picture was never posted on the lost and found site and when I spoke to the staff I was told they tried to contact me and my husband, leaving voicemails. NEVER HAPPENED!! On top of not being contacted and then lied to, when I attempted to pay the $100 quarantine fee to take Max home, the staff member which went to retrieve my dog comes back only to tell me that they no longer had him because he ran away!!!! WHAT!!!??? Needless to say, it's been over a month now and I still don't have Max. He was not just a pet, he is part of my family and all I had. I'm completely heartbroken and lonely.

I called and made an appointment. Very professional and quick. Questions answered in detail. When I arrived they were pretty busy, still in a timely manner they were able to take care of me quickly in the front office. While waiting, to drop the puppy off it wasn’t bad for a shelter. If you don’t know how a shelter is run or don’t know how hard it can really be, then don’t say anything bad. If you’ve never worked in one, you have no right to say a word about how they run it. It’s tough work and a hard job. They are busy everyday of every week. They were great from what I saw, as I was walking out I saw many volunteers. Thank you for your help.

Took my 16 year old Shiztzu that's ill, deaf, blind, to be euthanized. They wanted to put him in shelter for re-homing him. NO WAY WOULD I PUT HIM IN THE SHELTER. Thanks for nothing Abilene Animal Shelter

Picked up and paid for spay and neuter services for 6 cats. Employees very friendly. PLEASE GO AND ADOPT A PET IF YOU CAN. They need loving, forever homes.
