Petco Madison, Tennessee

Visited to pick up some fish food. Discovered a wide selection of merchandise available in the fish section. It looked like there was also a nice selection of food and toys for dogs as well. I'm sure to visit the store again in the future.

Friendly staff and goo variety of pet food.

I just recently bought a ball python from Petco and though the staff was fantastic as far as professionalism and how they handled customers wasn't worried me is the reptile enclosures, on how they were unkempt and not to what I would believe that Petco standard should be.

Smug employees cost you customers. Showed up at 7:55 because Google maps said they were open til 9. Turns out they don’t bother to keep their hours updated, but none the less with five minutes til closing I’m sure I can run in and grab one item real quick. Nope. Scott was on duty at the front, doors already locked, to refuse me entry during posted business hours. When I assure him I need one item, know where it’s and, and will be out of their hair well in time to close I get a smug “you have a good night sir” as he again locks the door. Farewell Petco. I shall find other places to purchase my steady supply of pet food and toys.

The store was clean and all of the products were labeled and shelved nicely, didn't have to walk around boxes or other stuff. Looks like some good teamwork going on. Cashier greets and remembers me.

Where the pets go...to die: My 4 year old was ecstatic when we got her a Betta. It was active in the store (assuming because it was surrounded by other males it could see). As soon as we got in the car it became still. Floated/swam around the tank for maybe 10 mins, then swam to the bottom and hung out there, less than 48 hours it was dead. After googling and inspecting it, the fish had ICH. Way to traumatize a kid by selling sick fish y'all. Would recommend ANYONE wanting a Betta to go somewhere else. We got a replacement at Aquatic Cove in Madison, he is happy and active.

We got a large curbside order. The associate who brought it out was efficient and friendly. He loaded everything up and got us off on our way very quickly. Great job! I believe his name was Robert.

A stray dog wandered into my yard. I brought him in to be scanned for a chip. The associates were very friendly and scanned him. I appreciated the fact that you offered this service. Thank you.

I frequent here for my Yorkies since they like the Wholehearted brand food Petco offers. The store is clean and well organized. They usually have in stock the items I go there for. I’ve used curbside several times and I like how seamless that process is as well. This visit was to buy fish for my granddaughter. The associate who helped us was very friendly and knowledgeable. I love how he explained everything to her so a 7 year old could understand what she needed to do to take care of her new friends.

A nice location that was kept clean and organized. My only drawback was that the cashier seemed confused as to the policies and procedures of his job, which may be in part due to his age because he appeared to me as if he was maybe 15 at the oldest. A fellow staff member came from the back of the store to the front to assist me but was quite dismissive and even when I mentioned I hope you have a nice day first when leaving did not get a response from either of them they simply just stared and then turned around and walked off. My only suggestion would be maybe a quick course in proper retraining for any staff members who are not prepared to be friendly and engaging with the customers.

Great selection of pet foods, and grooming services are available at a decent prince.

The best place to go is petco

I was in the market for a parakeet. I met with Alora at the Huntsville location who knew so much about bird care and was excellent. However I needed the parakeet to be a male and they didn't have one I liked, so she called the Madison store and they had several. I did purchase a new cage and parakeet at the Madison store, April was the person who helped me and she was great as well to work with. Krislyn was there too and checked me out. I love the personal service, the knowledge, both stores super clean and my first time in either one. I will be back!

Shopping was simple, item was discounted and personnel were very helpful and nice.

Nice store, lots of great pet stuff. Had fun looking at all the cats and dogs they had up for adoption.

Everyone was super rude. One little boy even scoffed and rolled his eyes because i didnt want to join their little rewards program.

I showed a picture to the groomer of how my dog is usually cut. She asked questions to make sure she understood. When I picked up my Silk- hair Pomerania, I was disappointed. Everything she questioned me about and I told her no is what she did. I wanted to cry. When I asked her how did he do she bluntly said ok. He has always received a good report. She was not there to give him to me someone else did. Upon examining him she was focused on matting so that she got extra. He was not matted but she said he was around his neck. To put it nicely, she did a terrible job. I would not recommend. He was not cut smoothly. Face was not cut or groomed. Ears uneven. Tail cut too far. I will not be back!

I understand that this kind of job is really hard. But because of the pandemic, I opted for a pick up order. I came it when I received an email that it was ready. And I was still told to wait in line. It was quite embarrassing, and frustrating. I wish they had handled it a bit differently.

I loved the way the store was organized. But mostly it was because of Josh. He was super friendly and helpful and made checking out quick and easy. I am sure the rest of your associates are just as friendly, but he really made my day.

Great grooming facility! Clean and love the see through grooming Windows. Makes me feel like my dog is safer in there where I can see him. ????

As of May 7, 2021 Masks are required to enter the store! Was very RUDELY informed today. No worries ~ You will bring it to my car! Petco Madison is a pleasure to shop with my 2 dogs. Wonderful employees, service & products. Madison never has stock on hand, either must order online to have delivered or go to Huntsville Preferred Petco Store to pick-up. 4/11/2021 Update: Been trying to contact Petco over being over charged on automatic shipments.
