Been bring my animals here for about a year now since my dog had an emergency. When we brought our dog they were able to get her in as soon as we arrived. They take wonder care of our pets and provide excellent and caring service.

I love Dr. Sinclair, Dr. Feiler, and Dr. Holden. They cared for my old girl Hannah (with the boots) for the last 2 years of her life. We tried everything to ease her arthritis pain and they even recommended several holistic approaches. All the vets there have always been so kind and caring and attentive. The wait times can be a little long but it's totally worth it to get the personalized care we've received for so long. I will always take my dogs to them. I highly highly highly recommend them. I can't possibly say enough good things.

Was a great place to take my dog. The staff from the receptionist, to the vet tech, to the doctor that actually took care of my dog, they were all awesome and acted like it was their own dog. What a great place. Dr. Heather Sinclair was awesome in how she treated my animal. Very practical in her application, and allowed me to have input. This time, the high reviews that I looked into before going there were correct! I have to thank my neighborhood for suggesting this place. As you can see in the pics, I have a very happy camper for a dog.

My dog started having multiple issues, of gagging, gasping and spasming. It was 6:30 PM and, of course, her vet was closed. Haw Creek fit us in and was so reassuring to an on the edge dog mom. Thankfully, the problem was resolved fairly quickly. I am grateful for Haw Crerk and their caring way for both of us.

Haw Creek has hidden or removed my prior review. I will review every day until they leave this review for other pet owners or contact me directly. First of all, I would like to say that I have had many pets, many different vets as I have moved around, and many end of life experiences. I have never been unhappy with the care provided for any of my pets. I have never even written a review for anything. I am THAT upset with the care, compassion, and communication that I received at your clinic. This was not my usual vet. My dog got sick on a Saturday and I took him in on a Sunday because they had an opening. I spent around $600 and they told me that he had a bladder infection (he did) and some associated inflammation of his Kidneys. They gave him antibiotics and nausea medicine and sent him home. It was never in any way relayed to me that his lab work (BUN) was indicative of renal failure. I was told to follow up in one week. My dog didn’t do well over the next couple of days, so I called them that night and asked to bring him in the next morning. I came in the next morning and sat on the couch and cried for an hour asking to be seen like I was promised the night before. The vet never once attempted to even speak with me or assess my dog to evaluate the acute nature of his condition. They told me they were too busy, even though they were no other patients there. I told them that my dog was very sick. They would not see him. They offered to let me leave him lying in a kennel for the day, to be worked in between other patients. I absolutely refused to leave my very sick, dying dog just lying in a kennel all day. I took him to North Asheville Animal Hospital immediately after they turned me away. As soon as I walked into that establishment, I was immediately taken care of. After they reviewed his records from Haw Creek, they informed me that my dog was in acute renal failure. They informed me that I could buy some time with fluids, but that the outcome would eventually be the same. He would be miserable and not have a good quality of life. I made the best choice for my dog and had to euthanize him that day. After misdiagnosing my dog, then refusing to see him again in an emergency situation, even though I had called the night before, they sent me a card giving their condolences. Do not take your animal here. I feel so guilty that I let my dog suffer for another couple of days. Thank you North Asheville Animal Hospital For being competent and absolutely compassionate. Unexpected and urgent situations arise in healthcare, both humans and pets, and apparently your clinic is not concerned with urgent situations. I didn't have to say one word when I walked into Animal Hospital of North Asheville. They took one look at my face and at my dog and the front desk staff immediately took him from me so that he could be evaluated. That is the appropriate and compassionate care that any veterinary or healthcare clinic should have. They had a busy clinic. Their schedule was full. However, they realized that my dog needed attention and they graciously spent time with him and me, as I let him cross the rainbow bridge. Your clinic and the vet that was present that morning should be ashamed of how the entire situation was handled. Your clinic needs more empathetic vets and staff as well as better communication of diagnoses and work ups. Do better.

We were visiting from Florida and needed attention for our pup, not what you want when so far from home. Dr. Nelson was wonderful! Staff treated us well and got us into a room quickly. There was of course a wait, but it was a Sunday afternoon and we have no history with this veterinarian. Considering the circumstance, excellent experience!

We had a visiting dog who developed an eye infection. They worked us in on a Sunday afternoon. The staff is amazing. They are helpful, friendly, great at keeping you informed of your wait and all around incredible. The vet was great as well. Very professional and caring and great with the dog. A really great experience for the dog and the owner.

Staff is super friendly and knowledgeable across the board, not just the vets. Even though they are always busy, they take the time to make sure your pet is cared for and you understand all treatment. So thankful for them! We have taken a bearded dragon and tortoise to them, and both were squeezed in on emergency visits even though they are so busy. I would recommend them to anyone.

We did not have to go in for treatment. We thought our dog had eaten acorns but were not sure. So we decided to wait it out. ( he has had these symptoms before) it was a couple hours before closing for them. I had not called them back to cancel. They called me to see how our boy was doing and if we still needed to come in.They wanted to make sure they had enough staff on hand if he needed a possible surgery. I thought this to be very responsive and professional, as this type of service is very few and far between now days. p.s. we are not patients of theirs so I would definitely use them in the future!!!!!!!

Unfortunately, my experience with this place was so impersonal, I left feeling almost distrusting of them. I understand they are probably under staffed and stressed out.. but they took more time to explain my bill than they did to explain what was wrong with my cat. Seemed like getting my money was the most important thing. :/ The girl at the front desk was sweet and tried to be sympathetic to my worries and my 2 hour wait, but overall I would not recommend using them as an emergency vet unless you absolutely have to.

The veterinarians and other staff are excellent and helpful. They provide exceptional care for our dogs and cat. Sometimes emergency care makes wait times longer; however, they save a lot of wonderful animals.

So my husband brought home a dog, that I was like “sure it can stay until we find it’s owner” And then it grabbed my dog by the neck. At 7pm on a Friday. When we were broke. Like day before payday we had 150$ broke. Couldn’t get a loan anywhere. Called around and nobody would help. She had legit holes in her neck. They had a 91$ urgent care exam fee. We figured okay. We’ll pay us and at least they can tell us if she’ll be okay. I told dr.Nelson our circumstances, and she said “I got you sis” Five stitches later, some pain meds and antibiotics, (and definitely some tears) my girl was all sewn up. Forever grateful.

My kitty wasn’t feeling well and of course it happened on a Saturday where most vets were closed, but Haw Creek was able to squeeze me in! They were all so kind and helpful, I really felt like they cared about my kitty and wanted to help as much as possible! Shout out to Dr Nelson!

My dog's vet was not available to see her urgently, so they recommended Hawcreek Animal Hospital. Not only did they get me an appointment that day, they took excellent care of my dog while she was there and called to check on her after. Everyone was so pleasant to work with, all of my questions were answered, and my dog's plan of care was throughly explained. I highly recommend this Animal Hospital.

They are caring and very accommodating, my cat recently got attacked by a wild animal and they were able to fit us in that day. Milo is on his way to a full recovery thanks to the wonderful team there!

Run down place, $90 emergency fee to get a shot. I understand that waiting for an appointment is cheaper. But couldn't justify the $90

Highly recommend. Love their extended hours! My first time visit was an emergency. I waited 1-1/2 hrs for the clinic to see my cat on a busy Sat, but worth it. Staff and docs are kind, patient and knowledgeable. They're equipped to process bloodwork while you wait and provide counsel and meds. My poor old cat is feeling so much better now!

These folks are honestly just the best. They treated my dog after he was mauled. They’ve followed his care really attentively and he’s made a full recovery. Every step of the way, they were really up front about pricing, and the cost of every visit is always very reasonable and fair. I never feel like I’m being sold unnecessary add-ons or guilted into springing for things I can’t afford, something I’ve encountered with past vets. The whole staff is really professional and friendly, always communicating effectively and, simply based on how much my very anxious dog likes them, their bedside manner is what all vets should aspire to.

Haw Creek Animal Hospital has been very tentative and caring when it came to my pet rat templeton even staying after hours to care for him which I’m so grateful for!

I have never had a less than wonderful visit here. They take great care of my dog and are vigilant about preventive wellness. My pup never resists going in so I know she feels the love.
