We’ve taken our cats to Charlotte Street Animal Hospital for several years, & we continue to be pleased with the care they provide. Everyone is professional, pleasant, accommodating, patient, caring, competent & helpful.

The doctors and staff are very caring, professional and truly love animals. My dog is very comfortable going there and receives excellent care. I would recommend them to anyone in the Asheville area!

Their communication and safety protocols are very good and every single staff member I have ever encountered there (over 15 years with several dogs and a couple cats) has always been exceptionally professional, kind, compassionate, and respectful of our four-legged family members.Their evening and weekend hours are helpful. Charlotte Street Animal Hospital has been providing care to my sweet cat Francis since he was born. He’s a member of my family and I love him so much; and I completely trust the Charlotte Street team to take care of my fur baby! Francis has his regular check ups and also stays with the team during the holidays and I can relax knowing that Francis is safe and having fun while boarding. While visiting Asheville from NJ for the holidays, my cat needed follow-up care for a dermatologic condition. CSAH was very accommodating to the situation. Office staff were very kind and welcoming, and Dr. Abrams is an exceptionally good and very thorough veterinarian. Prices were quite reasonable as well. Highly recommend!

The atmosphere was calm and the entire staff was attentive and kind. Dr. Abrams is a god send. Seeing him sit on the floor with my sick cat for her exam was so sweet and something no Vet has ever done with us before. She purred most of the visit which she has Never done before at any vet office. He was so informative, attentive, patient and gentle. Best vet experience we've ever had anywhere!!! We won't be going anywhere else from now on. The pricing was literally hundreds less than I've paid for the same tests, medications, exams fees and treatments I've paid for at other vets. I pulled old receipts to compare and paid at one vet almost $200 more for the exact same things i had done at Charlotte st Friday night. We've been taking our dog to Charlotte St. animal hospital for years for regular check ups, and we've always had great experiences. This year has been a particularly tough one for our pup and we've had to make a couple of big trips to see the vet. We had to take her in after she had eaten something poisonous and got extremely sick. The vet and staff were very caring, communicating with us on a regular basis about her wellbeing and keeping her comfortable. Our dog could've died but thanks to the wonderful care she got, we were able to bring her home and for that we're so thankful!!

Our year was hard and we lost two other pets and the doctors helped us with all the information to make hard decisions. I’ve never felt such care from strangers. We are forever grateful! Every member of the team is a pleasure to work with! They are all so patient with our new dog who is scared of most things due to her past trauma before we adopted her.

Everyone at Charlotte Street has been so kind to us and our pup! Choosing a vet for the first time for a new puppy is scary especially during covid times but I feel like we made the right choice. I’m pretty sure she even likes going here because of all the positive attention she gets. They went above and beyond to inform us we should go the emergency vet route when she got pink eye once over the weekend, and reached out to check on her afterward.

Dr Cowan rocks. Great with the dog, fabulous with families. We travel past a lot of places just to see her. We trust her with everything. Love Charlotte Street!!

Expensive but I love the care and staff

Appreciate the kind, sensible, and balanced approach the vets at Charlotte Street have had when caring for my animals over the last 20 years.

I have been going to this vet for a few years now. First thing I like is they don't try and jack your bill up. They offer and make suggestions for services but once you say no they move on. They are not trying to elevate your bill. They take great care of my animals have great hours for anyone's schedule. Their prices are fair. If your looking for a vet with fair prices that you can trust to care for and take care of your animals this is it.

All the DVMs (and vet techs) at Charlotte Street are highly professional, far above average for WNC. Our visit on 12/7 was very worthwhile, as they always are. Our golden retriever loves the attention she gets there.

I have been to a lot of Vet Clinic’s in Asheville and after 20 years, finally landed at Charlotte Street Animal Hospital. Every experience I’ve had there has been exceptionaI. The staff is wonderful and attentive to details and Dr Scully is the bomb. He is an 11 on a 10 scale. My cat has a variety of complicated health issues and Dr Scully has taken the time to talk to me by phone and discuss options. His interest is so sincere that it almost feels like he thinks my cat is HIS cat. My only regret is that it took me so long to find this Vet clinic and Dr Scully. I would give it more than five stars if I could.

I have two 15yo poodles with a gamut of conditions. Dr. Abrams takes great care of them. Dr. Amber is also wonderful. The entire staff is quick to respond and very helpful.

We have seen multiple of the providers over the years and have had nothing but exemplary services each time. At our recent emergency visit the whole staff was fantastic in calming myself and my dog, sending us home patched up and smiling. From emergency visits to medication management and regular physicals we are lucky to have them in our corner keeping our wild dog healthy.

I can't remember the name of the doctor that saw our border collie Obi Wan Kenobi, but he was a younger gentleman. He was fantastic, thorough, and clear, and I have told no less than three people (so far) about how he sat on the floor with my dog for the entire visit. From start to finish. I've had dogs my ENTIRE LIFE and subsequently have been to every single vet visit for my parents are deaf and I've always been the interpreter, and I've NEVER experienced that. That alone, will make me a customer for life. Bravo, young man.
