Prices with packages are within reason. They always take great care of my fur baby. *Please be understanding with long wait times. They are short staff and trying just like everyone other business in Asheville.

I can only speak to the fact that it is a convenient place to keep my cat's food Rx as my veterinarian does not keep a supply of prescription food on hand.

They truly are "animal people". I feel completely comfortable leaving my Zoe with them because of their experience and the way they make each person and pet feel at home.

No one questions the facility or methods for veterinarian services. Most people, when considering where to take their pet, want to know how their experience will be based on the staff. The staff at banfield was the most responsive, considerate, and professional group I have ever had the fortunate pleasure to work with. I woke this morning to an extremely difficult and scary situation with my cat, one that all pet owners fear. The staff immediately took action to ensure my pets comfort and well being as well as my own. They were transparent, forthright and highly highly considerate. They communicated effectively and often. This review is in direct reference to the staff at this location. I cannot speak on any other Banfield locations but am truly grateful for their professional conduct and genuine human spirit, thank you truly from the bottom of my heart, thank you.

We just moved to Asheville and took our golden retriever here for the first time. She can be pretty anxious at times, and she has been needing to go potty more often than usual. Although we figure the big move and the issue are correlated, of course we wanted to be sure everything was okay and get her checked out. Dr Lorie Valentino was incredibly rude and condescending to our family- something we have never experienced at a vet. Our bill was already $100 and we waited over an hour- she came back with inconclusive results and expected us to spend almost $200 for blood work that may or may not expose a potential issue. When we asked questions and our options in treatment she responded if we didn't want to do the blood work, “why did we even come here?” Well we came here because we would do anything for our pup, but when we get the feeling a vet is trying to gouge us of money/options, of course we are going to express our questions and concerns. Ive had wonderful experiences at different Banfield locations, but Dr Valentino made our experience feel so used and rudely talked to. I cant wait to see our great pup be happy and healthy with help of a different vet.

My cat has needed a booster shot for a vaccine. I’ve called so many times to try to schedule it, but never get an answer or a call back. There’s only a short window of time to get the booster shot before the immunity expires. I’ve since relocated from Asheville, but am still very disappointed in the responsiveness of this Banfield. The staff is nice, but don’t go here if you’re wanting to regularly schedule appointments. Hoping to have a better experience in my new city.

They have absolutely no care or concern for your pet in an emergency at the Bleachery Road Banfield Pet Hospital. I called to have my dog seen because she fell and hurt her leg and would not walk on it. She is whimpering and they told me they could not fit her in when I called and wanted to schedule me to have her come in on Tuesday and the day it happened was a Saturday. If it is broke who can wait that long. Will not be going back and I will not be renewing my dog insurance plan.

I pay monthly to have my dog taken care of here and all they truly do is shots. They are called a PET HOSPITAL but don’t have anything really do with the hospital part. My dog was attacked and I wanted her looked her just as a precaution and They wanted to schedule her 3 weeks away for an appointment. Didn’t I just say my dog was attacked I don’t wanna wait no 3 weeks for her to be seen. I need to cancel my membership immediately, y’all are never actually helpful when you need to be.

Staff is phenomenal. I am rating it a three now because I have been with Banfield for 7 years now but they have added too many clients to their list but not enough staff. My dog had been in their twice for an issue but they did not diagnose it correctly. I finally found what it was on the internet. When I called back to get another appointment, I had to wait 3 months for my dog to be seen. They told me to go to medvet if it was an emergency. I'm sorry, I pay Banfield for my pets to be taken care of ($110 a month for 3 dogs), not Medvet. They put me on the cancellation wait list and still, NO CALL. I have seen multiple vets up there and all one had to do was call me in a prescription. I really feel bad for the staff up there having to deal with all the angry people. I actually heard two people (while waiting to pick up my dog because it was drop off only appointments), express the same issue. I really hate that I have sent so many people to Banfield and now they can't take care of them. Banfield...you had such a great thing, why did you have to go and ruin it. This is happening at BOTH Banfields here in Asheville.

Not good! The reason I chose Banfield was because of my work schedule and they were able to perform a lot of things on Saturdays and Sundays and now they don't which is really to my disadvantage to continue to be on the wellness program if these procedures can't be done on the weekend.

Banfield has been caring for Rusty for 10 years. He is an older boy. Rusty has arthritis and has lost a few teeth. Other than age related causes, he is in excellent health due to their wellness plans. Thank you, Banfield!! Best providers of care for my furbaby.

Took very good care of our kitten. She dislocated her toe. They called with a care plan and asked for approval before continuing her service. Very kind staff

If I could put minus a hundred stars, I would, but unfortunately I can't. On January 6th, my cat was neutered. In 6 days the infection started. A day later, the shev was gone. All these days, I went to them, talked about the need to do something. For all my experiences, they told me only one thing: everything looks good. Prescribed an antibiotic, imposed 6 terrible iron brackets. I began to smell rot, when I talked about it, no action was taken, I was told to continue giving the antibiotic. A week later, I took my cat with pus and a terrible smell to their clinic. The staples tore his skin, it was terrible. After I insisted, a more thorough examination was carried out and it turned out that the infection under the seam had already begun to eat away at the tissue. My cat had a second operation !!! They assured me that everything was cleaned and processed well and that there should be no more problems. But after 2 days, my cat's suture came out again and pus began to come out of there. When I returned there in tears, I was again offered to put brackets. When I refused, they simply carried the cat out to me, and did not even clean the wound from pus. Think many times before taking your pet to this clinic.

After going to an emergency vet on a Sunday (they are closed) I called them on Monday morning to schedule an emergency appt with MY vet MY dogs vet. I was told by a horribly rude receptionist it would be Friday before they could see us. And she was again so so rude about how inconvenient this was. And I was basically lucky to get this. My dog turned out to be suffering internal bleeding. If it had been caught sooner more may have been done. But not here. You are an appt and a number. Nothing more. Find somewhere else that cares. Or your dog will die.

Hard to believe they care about our furbabies! Lack of empathy for my dog and her parents. The Jacksonville office was great. I am so very disappointed in the Asheville office.

The pet doctor is good but the front desk girls are always rude except for one girl!

Staff is extremely friendly but wait times are often incredibly long. Even when scheduling an appointment for something minimal like updating shots or nail trimming, I have waited for 1-2 hours. The new curbside service has only exasperated the long wait times. I do feel that sometimes they make it seem like certain products or treatments are necessary when there is a much cheaper and attainable option elsewhere.

They never called me back after I pay them monthly for my dog to come there for vet services. He had an emergency and they didnt make time to see him or see if another location could see him. Poor customer service and poor scheduling. Terrible customer service.
