Best place ever to take ur fur babies!!

After this last appointment I came home and told my husband we can only go to Elk creek from now on. This past June our beloved dog compassionately had her life ended at Elk Creek. It was a horrible time in my life but Elk Creek was more than accommodating and did their best to make it as smooth as it could be. I was already grateful to them. This last appointment was the first time we could get our dogs in for their first time vet appointments. It was great. They showed love for our dogs and the appointment was a success. When leaving one of the receptionist mentioned she was so happy to see we got two more dogs. I could have cried. Someone there still remembered our dog, saw how much she was loved, and was happy to see us continue to love more dogs. To know that the animals they have under their care are more than dollar signs has made me a life long customer of theirs. Thank you Elk Creek.

I trust no one else but the staff of Elk Creek with my clowder. They always take care of my furry babies and answer all my questions.

P'nut's Dr was able to run some tests and he figured out what was wrong with my dog and best friend. He's doing much better now so we can get back to the our quality of life. Thank you Dr.

Wonderful service, great staff, reasonable price, and they care enough to get you in when you need it. I live in Kansas City and was up visiting in a small town outside of Sioux City, long story short my dog needed 7 staples, multiple people I know recommended Elk Creek. We've been seeing Dr. Bessmer for close to ten years. He and his staff have always been absolutely wonderful. Whenever we've needed to have our dogs seen they've made time. When we've had surgeries they've kept us updated all along the way. In dealing with a dying dog they've been helpful and empathetic. They've never kept us waiting long and they've never made us feel rushed. We are so happy to have found such an awesome Vet as Dr. Bessmer.

Very caring and loving. When our beloved dog had cancer and we had to say goodbye they gave us a swatch of his fur, per our request. They cleaned my other dog's teeth; she's not in pain now thanks to their care. I take my cat there as well. Take your pet in for a check-up, etc., just as you would your self. Love your pet; give them what they need in order for them to be around for as long as possible!

New to town and they got us in in 2 days. Very friendly staff, and prices are reasonable. Definitely recommend.

I called to get my dog in on an emergency basis. The kid that answered the phone was rude and short. I asked if I could make an appointment because my dog is throwing up. She’s like we can put you down for weds but you will have to call back with your information if you don’t go somewhere else. I told her I could give her info now since on the phone and she was like just call back. So rude and unprofessional!! She didn’t want to help.* No one swore yesterday at all. That’s a lie.

I was very pleased with my experience at Elk creek animal hospital. The staff are very friendly! they took great care of my kitty when she got surgery. I feel great everytime i take my pet in because i know they go above and beyond to make my pet feel safe and happy! I would recommend this place to anyone.

Everyone is always so friendly. My questions always get answered, the doctors spend the time with my pet and do a great job checking them over.

There are no words to adequately express our gratitude for the way Simon has been cared for over the last 1 1/2 weeks! From Dr. Gross's compassionate and professional surgical delivery in an emergency situation to Dr. Bessmer's continued care and support, to the kennel staff, techs, and front desk personnel who managed phone calls every day from a very worried mama-each and every one has been incredible! How blessed we are to have Elk Creek in Siouxland!

Really the only complaint I could have about Elk Creek isn't about service or efficiency - it's just the parking lot and about difficulty entering and exiting. Elk Creek always gets to the heart of any issues my dog is having faster than other vets I've tried, so I'm always happy with our experiences there.

The people are all very friendly and helpful. Dr. Gross has worked very hard to help my dog feel better. They always go the extra mile to help!

Whenever I’m in the region, I always use Elk Creek Animal Hospital for my pet(s). They have always been great to work with and take great care of my loved one(s).

I wish that I would have switched to this vet office several years ago! Everyone was extremely friendly and helpful when caring for my sick dog. I definitely recommend Elk Creek!

On December 29th took my cat to get neutered and declawed in one go. I was confident that the declawing surgery would go well since they reassured me that the laser surgery was the best way to go. We got him back the next day on Dec. 30th and my cat smelled so bad, he had dry glue all over his body, up his arms and all over his paws where it didn’t need to be. The next day after his surgery, Jan. 1st we had to bring him back bc he was bleeding from his paws and each time he shook them, blood and discharge would come out. We called and they said to bring him in so we did, and then said that he had an infection and his paws had reopened. We ended up having to pay for another shot that he had to get. Mind you we already had paid almost $300 at the beginning. After that we took him home and it seemed to have gotten a little better. But as the days went by, his paws started bleeding again and the discharge was back, so we took him back to the vet on Jan. 6th and they just closed his paws again and said that they would call us back that same day to make an appointment to bring him back that friday. They never called us, so we waited thru that weekend and finally called and took him that next wednesday. So here we are, waiting for my cat to be brought out and now we’re having to pay another $80 for new medicine. This place is just in it for the money, they messed my poor cats paws up. After today I will be going to a new vet. I strongly recommend not coming here for surgery.

This vet clinic is only out for how much money they can make! When you have an emergency and call after hours they never call back! My first cat was dying and we called several times to the vet after hours number and no one returned our call so our cat passed. They didn’t even have the heart to call us the next day, just didn’t do anything. Now my other cat go ill and we took her there $300 later they said she would be fine just give her medicine. We took her home that same day and she wasn’t any better. I called back up there before they closed and they said bring her tomorrow and we will look at her again. She had seizures all night and was barely breathing the next day. We took her up there so they could put her to sleep and waited until we left and call to get another $89 to put her to sleep on top of the $125 to cremate her. They knew she wasn’t going to make it but charged us $300 then had us take her home to suffer the whole night and then charge an additional $ 89 to put her to sleep! I will NEVER take my pets to this clinic again!!!!!

We had a TERRIBLE experience here!!! Took our cat to be declawed and they absolutely mutilated his paws. We took him home and noticed he was very sluggish and was just not acting himself and he could barely walk. We noticed his paws looked open and were oozing, we made an appointment to come back and get him looked at and they even sent us a confirmation email, the next morning when we got there they wouldn’t even look at him claiming we didn’t have an appointment. We were able to get him into another vet where they had to re-close his paws and give him antibiotics for an infection in one of his paws as long as pain meds. PLEASE TAKE YOUR CAT TO ANOTHER VET FOR SURGERY.

Dr. Gross and the rest of her staff always go out of their way to address all of my dog’s needs every time we are there. Can’t recommend this place enough!
