I recently moved, and had to switch vet's. There is no comparison. Waxhaw is so Proffessional.

They are very good and reasonable in prices. We've had the best experience with them- highly recommended.

Fantastic! Keenan the vet tech and wild life bird rehabilitation expert is freaking awesome! I arrived with an emergency and he had a calmness that calmed me down. He is truly an asset and I am so happy he was there for me and my bird emergency! The doctor is also awesome.

Caught them double charging for ear infection. Then 6 weeks later on the morning of boarding them for a weekend trip, they lied and said our 2 yr old dog was very aggressive 6 weeks prior? So why wasn’t we told previously when we picked them up. Very unprofessional and unethical. No concern for the animals, strictly a BUSINESS!!

This place is filthy and the staff are extremely rude. Definitely do not consider bringing your pets here. There are much better options around the area.

I'm so glad that we no longer take our pets to this place. We  had taken our dog in for a checkup about 6 months ago, and they were just overall extremely rude and didn't seem to care about the well-being of our dog. That experience was bad enough on its own, but after getting an inside look of how the kennel area looks, I'm certain we'll never be back. The kennels are extremely small and extremely filthy all the time. It's almost as if they have absolutely no one there looking after your animals or cleaning their kennels, not to mention your animals sit in those tiny kennels and cry out for hours without any comfort from any of the staff. DO NOT go to this place. There are plenty of veterinarians around this area that are much more professional that actually care about your animals.

Took Pepper to get her updated on her shots. The curbside service worked well.. You need to text the number not call it

First time here and our poor dog was so nervous. Hailey went out of her way to comfort my dog and it was so appreciated. I had my 2 kiddos with me and it was a lot to manage but they were great at helping us. So grateful to have found them!

I wouldn’t take my fur babies anywhere else! They are always so kind and caring. Thank you Waxhaw Animal Hospital for all you do for us!

Female Veterinarian was extremely rude to me about asking for pricing. I was told when switching clinics that paperwork would be valid that the other Veterinarian gave them. They tried charging me for exams our dog just had done. Then told me they didn’t say they wouldn’t charge me these extra fees. My dog only needed one shot. Ugh. Horrible experience.

My dog was run over by a vehicle going around 50mph. We brought her to the nearest “Hospital”. They promptly took my dog in without allowing any one of us to come in…Covid-19 worrisome. 20-30 minutes later they call to say they cannot treat her injuries but want to give her morphine and bandage her wounds and do “blood work”. I did not want the blood work because I had to take her somewhere else and she was hit not sick, but the doctor insisted it was helpful…not true! About an hour later the blood comes back fine…of course because she was run over not SICK!! I have to pay over $600 to get my dog back in order to take her to a REAL hospital. They bring her out and I see they only bandaged her wrists. They did not bandage her multiple abrasions and cuts all over her head and arms and legs. They did not put a cone on her! They did not have instructions for after care. All of that is typical these days with low quality work! My main problem is that they took my dog in knowing they cannot repair ANYTHING INTERNAL!! They cannot repair a dislocation, a break, internal bleeding…anything that a dog Most Likely would need after being RunOver by a car going 50mph!!!! They have no integrity, ethics out the window and no care for a dog that needed a higher level of attention than they could give! They wanted quick cash and on their way!! Over $600 to partially bandage and feed drugs to this poor 1year old baby and say we can’t do anything else except waste time getting to a real hospital!!

When it comes to peoples pets you would expect an animal hospital to treat your animals with care. I have 2 guinea pigs that I left with them for a week. I left them with a bag of food, hay, vegetables and instructions for feeding. When I got them back at the end of the week, the entire bag of food was almost gone, the hay hadn’t been touched & the vegetables were rotten. It’s as if someone just carelessly threw food in their cage. The inattention to care was quite surprising & disappointing. Then I called several times to ask what had happened, they assured me that they would call back to assist me but never did. My experience with this hospital was disappointing to say the least, I would consider looking elsewhere for your pets.

I bring my holland lop rabbit in everytime he needs veterinary services. Waxhaw Animal Hospital always takes great care of my bunny and provides me with the information I need to be the best pet parent that I can be. Both Drs. Borrell and Fine are awesome.

Our neighbors brought us a little dog that had been hit and killed. I called and they said to bring him to be checked for a chip and are going to take care of him. They were so kind.

Ahhh I love our veterinarians here!! They do such a great job and are very transparent in what they are doing in procedures and in the costs. They always follow up after new medications and are quick with test results. Everyone on staff here that I've interacted with have been so kind as well. I'm so glad we switched over to them, I know our cats are well taken care of :)

Doing an excellent job of keeping all the COVID precautions in place. Working extra hard to make sure we get the attention our failing friend needs. Unfortunately our fur babies do not live forever but all the doctors and staff have worked overtime to make sure our little one receives the medicine and care she needs. This will stick with me as being one of the kindnesses we experienced in the difficult days. Thank you guys for caring and being so patient.

Dr. Borrell is amazing! I love that I can visit her for all of my exotic animals and my domestic! My beagle was having seizures and she was caring and concerned and did a full work up to rule out any underlying issues. The medication she prescribed did the trick and he’s been seizure free now since starting it!! I also have taken my turtles to her when they were sick and injured and she is hands down the best! She is very knowledgeable about reptiles (which most vets aren’t) and I wouldn’t take my babies anywhere else! I highly recommend her for your pets (no matter what they are) veterinary needs!!

We switched to this animal hospital last April due to proximity to our home. We are disgusted with how they conduct business. We go through them for our dogs preventative medication since it requires a prescription. We called them requesting a new box since we were out. They said they ordered it, but according to vet source their 3rd party provider the animal hospital never approved the request. My dog will now be late taking his heart worm preventative medication because of them. They lied to my husband several times when he followed up and even went into the office claiming they don’t know why it never shipped. This is unacceptable and if you want your animal to be in good hands, avoid this place. I love my dog to much to trust these people with him.
