They got my baby Cheerio in a home fast! So sad to let him go, but I know he has a loving family. Thank you for helping all the animals that you can, the community are grateful to have you. Keep holding the precious down.

They were so nice and helpful to me. I asked them if they were animal allies and they said no but gave me there address. Its a no kill shelter which I give them hearts to work there. There is a male big dog blonde/tan in color that has been there for 2 yrs. Will someone please take him home and love him. I would in a heart beat but I have 6 dogs,5 cats, 3 rabbits and 30 chickens! You have to draw the line. Love the place and I live in Ware Shoals

I was able to adopt a kitty recently and everyone was kind and very thorough. They could use some help as it was very busy but I was impressed with all the info given along with my pet.

Absolutely ruined my day. I walk in to find somebody that’s personality matched my families. I find one, walk out to sign papers.. the friendly girl that let me meet him said “she wants to adopt him!” And the awful woman behind the desk goes “no she can fill out an application, someone else is here to see him” Took my application and said you don’t have to stay here, you can leave.. but didn’t say that to the other person. My dog had to be euthanized due to heart worms. Im broken hearted.. and I got treated awful. Will never come here again. Ever. It’s not the first time that lady was rude to me.

Worst experience I’ve ever had. Customer service was subpar at best my fiancé and I went in looking for another lab mix for our farm and they showed us a pit bull and claimed he was the kindest gentlest dog they have and loved all other animals, within 10 minutes of him arriving home he broke of the lead and killed multiple chickens and a goat. Most untrustworthy people I’ve ever done business with.

Walked in, didn’t get welcomed. Had to start conversation. Smelt like feces. I adopted a dog they told me the reason the last owner put the dog back into there system is because “they couldn’t handle him” let me remind you this dog was out back into there system 3 times. Obviously they lied because the dog had tried to bite me 3 times. Bit my mother in the face. They also said “be careful he’s shy”. Be careful going there and obviously don’t trust anything they say. The volunteers are nice though and very helpful.

I literally attempted to get a dog with someone I don't live with and they needed my to bring a child that doesn't live with my the person I came with. I am very upset bc I went out of my way to get my kids out of school early just to see the dog they wanted but they would not allow it. I'm literally so upset and not even refunded for the inconveniences

Sadly had to drop my dog of 10 years off yesterday due to my children being extremely allergic. It was a very emotional choice that I took over a year to decide on. He had to be kept outside most of the time and I felt they could give him a better life. The lady who took him in knew we were coming as appointments are necessary. She had a pile of cremated animals in boxes on her desk and in the middle of me doing my paperwork answered a call and asked if there were enough boxes to fit all of the cremains they had. She was cold and made me feel horrible. I laid in bed all night crying from this horrible experience and am worried they will be killing my dog even though they are a “no kill shelter.” I hope that a change is made….

Got my kitten and my dog from the humane society, they were well taken care of when we got them, my animals are the sweetest, and are clearly very happy and snuggly, the vaccinations are cheap and they are very helpful

Staff unfriendly and do not greet you. A simple "we will be with you shortly" goes a long way. When asked about dogs, told they can't be seen nor do they know of anywhere else. So much for finding a home for shelter pups.

Such a wonderful place! being a no kill shelter already means the world to me. went the past 2 days to find my son a kitten. both days with different employess and everyone we dealt with was very nice, professional and patient. I reached my late cat there 14 years ago, and today we got another. I highly recommend it if you're wanting to get your family a pet!

I went here to look at a puppy, and they never called me back about her. Initially some of them were very friendly, others not so much. I’m happy that the sweet pup was able to be adopted but, have the common courtesy and decency to call and let people know instead of them having to call and find out on there own. If I could give 0 out of 5 I would. There communication was lackluster and there was no level of professionalism. Even when I called to check about the dog the lady on the phone was unprofessional. Definitely not a fan. Will go to Greenville Humane Society if I decide to adopt at all.

They allowed us the pleasure of adopting our newest member of the family little bit. We lost our beautiful beloved ladybug due to medical issues and she had to be put down so she wasn't suffering. Little is so precious. Thank you guys and thank you for all yall do.

I went to get a forever friend here, I found the desk people (Rhonda) to be extremely rude. They would not help facilitate an adoption because of rules and lost out of giving a great home to a pet. All I asked was to extend a hold for 1 day and she shut me down. My husband called and she hung up on him because he told her she didn’t care what happened to these animals. I have never been treated and dismissed in the way this staff conducted there behavior.

Drove half an hour only to be told that they cannot accept animals from Greer, even though the animal control guy she pointed me to can be found on a website that directly states they work with Spartanburg/Greenville humane society and there is no Greer shelter (and we are part of Spartanburg county). I guess if you want to keep cats from homelessness but cannot afford to take care of them/arent able to home them because of whatever living restrictions... tough sh*t, says the lady at S.H.A.
