Great people. Awesome training. One of the only places that I can board my dog.

My wife & I had taken our 5 month old, 65 lb Great Dane puppy; Silas to Astro Kennels to register him for training classes. I had my Service Animal, Candie accompanying me. Candie is a 5 YO, 75 lb Golden Retriever/Great Pyrenees mix; in short I had 2 large dogs. Silas was excited, jumping and " acting out". A female staff member came out to assist me with Silas. Much appreciated

Our dog spent a week of boot camp here, showed up as a terrified dog with no confidence and when we picked her up she was so happy and brave. All the staff did an amazing dog working with her, and we are so thankful! Cannot wait to continue working with Astro kennels and their trainers on making our dogs great!

Great folks that spoil my two dogs while I’m at work. It’s hard to find peace of mind that your pets are in good hands, but these folks are trustworthy.

We left our dog at Astro Kennels for the week when we went on vacation. She can often be complicated, shy, and anxious, but Sandy and the rest of the team worked diligently to earn her trust and work with her over the time we were there. We are so grateful for Astro and can't wait to return for more training classes. Highly recommend!

Enzo has been going to Astro for about 3 months now. At first he was very unsure of the environment because he has been put through many training facilities by previous owners but all training failed. By the 3rd day he was already in love with Astro &’ knew when we turned down Scuffletown that he was going to his favorite place. During his evaluation he was afraid of scooters, bikes, children, men, &’ other triggers. Today I can finally say that he is no longer afraid of bikes or scooters &’ walks with them with no problem at all. He is allowing children to pet him, run around him &’ even hold the leash. All within 2 months, once a week board &’ trains. Enzo loves absolutely every trainer that he meets, but we absolutely adore Sandy, Taylor and Isaiah. Honestly, I will forever recommend Astro to everyone that I encounter. It truly is the best place.

Skia loves going here! When we pick her up after a stay she looks just as good as when we dropped her off.

Always so nice and caring

We started taking our little Andres to Astro about a year ago when he was 4 months old. He needed to have a little training and an outlet for his puppy energy. They are wonderful with him, and you can tell they love him too. We still take him several days a week for playing and socializing. We have boarded him a few times, and he comes home very happy. He has made many new friends and starts jumping up and down with excitement when we pull into the parking lot. The staff is warm and friendly. We absolutely love Astro and recommend them highly!!

Would not recommend leaving my dogs here. Both my animals were sick and had sores on them when I picked them up from boarding, and I was not told about either conditions prior to picking them up. The staff is repeatedly facetious about their conditions and amenities for the animals, and there is an obvious lack of communication and community among the staff. Overall they seem to care much more about image than they do about your pets.

I went to drop off my dogs for our beach trip and my husband had not looked at the hours so we showed up 2 hours before they opened. They were gracious enough to let us in and accommodate us. Then it turns out my husband made the reservations for the wrong week. They were thankfully able to make room for our two dogs. They were so gracious and kind and helpful. They saved our vacation! Highly recomment!!

Had a terrible experience a couple of years back with grooming, but we thought we’d give them another chance with boarding. Called ahead to schedule a tour of the facility. Greeted by coughing un-masked staff member who told us that we would need closed-toe shoes before we could start a walk-through. Would have been nice to tell us this policy on the phone when we called earlier- BEFORE we made the wasted trip. Staff was unconcerned about any inconvenience. With this kind of courtesy towards us, I’d hate to see what our dogs would have received. Won’t be back.

They simply CARE about dogs. They’re not in it for the money, they’re in it for helping dogs. We cannot recommend Taylor enough!

We took the intermediate dog training class at Astro. The instructor was very professional and personable and did a good job of covering the material in the class.

I am thankful for the quality of care my dogs received but the “groom” my dog received was anything but that. I requested a bath, blowout, brush, and nail clipping within the grooming package on her last day there. I received her soaking wet and nails not clipped. Their excuse was it was raining when they took her to the bathroom, there’s no way she got that wet within that time frame it took me to pick her up. Its a shame because the place otherwise is extremely nice, I just don’t recommend their grooming services as they simply won’t do it for who knows what reason! Don’t waste your money on the grooming package!

There is absolutely no where else I would recommend for dog training.

Brought our stubborn 5 mth old Golden Doodle to stay for 2 week dog boot camp board & train. Sandy & her staff rocked this experience for us & our pup! He learned all the commands we asked for & they even brushed him every day as instructed. He was a different dog when he came home- obedient, loving & happy. We couldn’t be more happy with our experience with Astro Kennels in Simpsonville. We also couldn’t believe how reasonable the pricing was for doggy Boot Camp, daycare or even training!! They even have dock dive training there too- we may be trying that next for fun!! Thanks, Sandy & AK staff

UPDATE: Jake is doing fantastic! If you have a dog who needs help with growling at people and other dogs, please give Astro on Scuffle Town Rd a try. Our pup is like a new dog. Sandy is absolutely fabulous and Isaiah is great too and he has the sweetest smile. Jake loves them both! All of the staff are professional and friendly. You can't go wrong with Astro, I promise! Try the day board and train, it's well worth the money if you truly care about your dog and the training they receive. We saw Brittani for our training assessment. She is very knowledgeable and we look forward to her training Jake!

Best place for my dog's training, grooming and boarding!

My dog loves coming to Astro. We have done training and day care and she always comes home tired and happy. Sandy has been our trainer and you can tell she loves what she does and truly loves the dogs. We are customers for life!

We started taking our goldendoodle Sophie to Astro Kennels in December of 2020 for a training camp and haven’t stopped going ever since! We love that she is able to go to daycare daily for such a great price and we also are able to do add-ons for her during daycare. She has done all three training classes and we have loved both trainers that we have interacted with. She also takes a break from daycare to do the day board and train! We are so happy with her training and her daycare experience and would recommend to anyone!

Nice place for dogs ????

We have a 13 week German Shepard "Mack" . We wanted to find a great place to train him. Well we did. This place is great. They also do grooming as well as boarding. We will take advatnge of all services offered. Last but not least staff is awesome. Money well spent. ????
