I took my cat to get her shots. They told me she was healthy. 3 days later she died. Traumatically. Each day was her just deteriorating. After an emergency vet visit we came back and they told us that taking her home would be inhumane so i should pay entirely too much money to have her put down. The cashier was rud3 as hell and didnt care that I was holding my dying cat. And they continued to charge us for about 8 months for the damage they did to my cat. I will nev3r recommend this place. I will never take a pet here. They are terrible.

The staff was friendly and the Vet called me and gave a full report about my pet's visit. I wish they had a better system in place for emergency purposes.

They are not to eager to deal with your sick animal, but very eager to take your well animal fitness program money. They even go as far as to recommend you take your sick animal to a Veterinary Clinic. Always thought thats what Banfield was.

Don't bother with this location. With 5 wellness plans we are constantly treated with extremely poor attitudes, extreme wait times, our animals are kept all day for simple check ups, difficulty getting prescribed medication, and it seems our account has been flagged because they know exactly who is calling when we try to schedule an appointment. As a person who HATES "karens" this "kareny" review needs to be left. If you want your animal properly take care of and professional service go to the north myrtle Beach location.

They told me that they were going to creamate my dog when she passed away and 2 weeks later I had to pick up our dead dog and transported her ourselves with my children to have her creamated for 150$ elsewhere and then they turned me into collections because they didn’t do there jobs correctly it’s pathetic

I have been bringing my dogs to Banfield for years. After the last year I will never bring any of my dogs back again. Whoever answers the phone is incredibly rude and treats you like you are an inconvenience to them. I was in tears on the phone know I would probably have to put my dog down. I was told I had ti call the emergency vet. I had already done that. The emergency vet wouldn’t help(no doctors on staff at the time). My dog could barely breathe and I was told there was nothing they could do for me. I’m now home watching my dog in pain. I will never come back.

I'm sorry that I have to do this but something needs to change in this location. My baby has been there for 6 hours now, and I haven't received a phone call or any messages of an update. I called them and they told me that the doctor has been in surgery and that they don't know how much longer it's going to take, but it could be up to two more hours. I was told the doctor will get in contact with me, once they are done. I feel as they don't realize that we are all getting upset because of the lack of communication. I believe that this issue can easily be fix by hiring another veterinarian or more stuff to accommodate the level of consumers.

No personal approach. Their whole business idea is to check in and check out as many dogs the same day. I brought my dogs on semi annual check up and vaccines renewal and they forgot to give my dogs new vaccines, that’s exactly how they said it “we forgot it”. Well, bye Felicia, hope you will change your priorities. Been paying monthly 110$ for both dogs, this money will never go to them anymore

First time to the new building ..dropping my 3 yr old morky off for her first teeth cleaning. It seems much may be added à la carte on top of my pet plan of 40.95@ month. Got there at 6:53 for 7 am drop off...was told to wait out side and call till they are open. Had to wear a mask and was met in the lobby...hoping for a more one on one with Doctors and hoping masks go away soon!

Completely dissatisfied with the way the transition of combining the Myrtle Beach locations into a standalone office has been handled. There were already issues through COVID restrictions which had us sitting in our cars sometimes for 90 minutes AFTER our scheduled appointment times, which we were understanding of. However, the combination of the two locations that were out of the Myrtle Beach Petsmarts has been handled in a completely unprofessional manner. The appointments are not only still not being adhered to (even though the restrictions have been lifted for South Carolina...) but now they are being met with a terrible attitude from the staff and a complete disregard for our time. It's the worst we've ever been treated by Banfield and we are of the mind that this organization is not holding up its end of the bargain with regards to service as well as the healthcare of our pets. Not to mention there was a discontinuation on carrying Trifexis onsite, which we have used for years on our dogs for prevention. That's all well and good but there was zero communication that this would be happening, and the suggestion we were given was to pay for the medication OUTSIDE of our plan which already is supposed to include it. On top of it all, the wisdom panel which we were supposed to receive for one of our dogs was flat out lost, to which the location pretty much just shrugged it off. This is completely unprofessional. We both work in an appointment based business and are expected to hold the appointments we set, not treat them as loose guidelines held at the mercy of whatever overload of business we decide to take on. If we can't handle the business flow we either hire more people or do not take on the business. We did not make the decision to combine two locations that were already facing backups with regard to time and a total lack of organization. The icing on the cake is the level of attitude we are given by the staff on a routine basis, Nancy excluded. She is perfectly polite. However, last Thursday was the final straw. We had a 4pm appointment which we were told to sit and wait for, mind you we are taking time away from work to do this, and after 30 minutes and having one of our dogs throw up in our car we could no longer sit and wait for them to get their act together. So now we not only have the expense of the plans themselves, we have the opportunity cost that is missed by being out of office waiting on an appointment time that they can't handle IN ADDITION to a car we now have to pay to get cleaned because - again - they couldn't handle the appointment times that they gave us. Oh as well as the suggestion to pay for medicine that we already pay for with our plan. Specifically we were told to "order it from Chewy." Banfield's entire purpose for us was for value and convenience. With what I've listed above neither are being held up to. We could get much better service from a private practice and it would be well worth the premium given that the actions of this location have proven our time is of zero value. If this were a one off scenario, or even a handful of incidents you would never even hear from me, as evidenced by the fact that it's been going on for over a year now and I've not said one word. But at this point the final straw has arrived. It has now been a full week since I contacted the practice manager Tracy directly, and I have received zero response whatsoever. This is identical to how appointments are treated: optional, brushed off, and with zero regard for the time of the client or their pet. It's clear that this is a complete failing of management and I feel bad for the sick pets that are subjected to the negligence and incompetence of this location, as well as the staff that is under their direction. With all of that being said, I don't believe this is just an issue of the location. I was given a survey to see how the appointment went, and I gave the same feedback I've given here. I was if I would like to be contacted, I selected "yes", and here we are with no reply from that either.

I do not like them and I will be stopping my coverage with them, my dog cut his paw on the way to get his shots the doctor wanted to sedate and do a couple stitches and meds 435.00 when I saw it, it was minor

I went to new location Thursday. Been a member for a while! My dog was in pain with ear infection and was turned away because I had no appointment and nobody tried to see me when I called them while in the parking lot! I understand the high volume of appointments and COVID situation but some kind of help would have been appreciated! A quick look between appointments would of helped or something! With this new location y’all became uptight! Now I got to Waite over a week for my baby to be seen!! Maybe I should be looking for a new vet!
