Very slow at answering…… keep putting me on hold and then after 10-20mins hang up on me…

We are extremely grateful for the care given to our Westie last week by the staff at Sycamore Animal Hospital. Our dog had a freak accident causing significant bleeding to his paw and claw. We rushed him to Sycamore Animal Hospital and although we are new to the area, they took him in immediately.The receptionist and vet tech were very understanding, compassionate, and took great care of our dog. If you're looking for an animal hospital that truly cares about the well-being of your fur baby - this is the one.

Growing up and then leaving Mint Hill, I still come back for two things. I take my pups here for the vet needs and I get their food down the street at Woof n' Hoof. I always receive great service at Sycamore along with tremendous care for my fur babies. The medical staff know myself and my pups by first name and have gotten both of my rescues through tough times with wonderful knowledge, explanation, and consistency. Just like many want the best Dr's for their human and family needs, I also want the best for my puppachino's so I come here.

Well, that sure was time wasted. My cat had blood in her urine last night, and I decided to go to these folks to find out what's wrong. The receptionist was being polite at least when she asked us if we had an appointment. Obviously we didn't, then told us they don't take walk ins, and to go to an Urgent Care. That would have been fine, except, the Urgent Care place was closed, and throughout the whole conversation, as polite as she wanted to be, she didn't seem concerned about our predicament at all, and just wanted to blow us off. Never mind. I already know what's wrong with my baby thanks to the power of online vet assistance, and the medicine is on the way. I should have done that in the first place, but I was giving these people the benefit of the doubt because I wanted to make sure she really did have a UTI.

They always take good care of my pup. When he had kennel cough they asked for a video to maintain a clean environment

They took great care of my kitten, but it cost me a fortune. Other than needing to take a loan to bring your pets here, they're great lol

Would not take my animals anywhere else but Sycamore. Only trust them.

Horrible communication. Like to ignore information and questions for months. Dr.sokoloff is great but rest of the office people especially the office manager likes to ignore emails and doesn't return phone calls.

I love this vet! They are so sweet and so helpful! The vet is also super sweet! My pup Whiskey, walked right in each visit without hesitation! Which is the best feeling! They helped her with her ear infection and allergies! She’s one happy pup now!

I really like Dr. Sokoloff and Brandy, they seem to care deeply about the animals. Front counter staff and office manager lacking skills to keep up with offers put into place by the Vet. Manager is extremely rude.

I couldn't ask for a better vet to take care of my fur baby. I have been going here for about 7 years and the care and service is exceptional. My dog keenai just had a prolapse and Dr. Sokoloff has been amazing dealing with my question and concerns making sure she answer any questions I have even on her day off going above and beyond!! . She cares so much for my dog keenai like he was her own, she treats all her patients that way. When it comes to my baby she has my full trust 100%. I am lucky to say I have such an amazing vet. I have tried several times to get my dog a appointment when needed. The wait time for appointments is rediculous more so if you need a appointment after 3 or 4 in the afternoons. Even to get a nail trim. And if you need to be seen right away forget it. My dog has to be muzzled they are aware of this I have to bring him in the building to do this which they are aware of because I have done it before. Today they are telling me no I cannot bring him in to muzzle him and of course they do not even have a time that will work for me to get his nails trimmed. He does not even need to see a doctor for that and it takes maybe 2 or 3 minutes to do it. They are not accommodating at all.

This place is amazing! The receptionist was so patient with all of my questions when I first called to ask about prices. We were looking for a new vet because after our puppy's last visit to our previous vet he was returned to us shaking and extremely nervous. I explained all this to the staff at Sycamore Animal Clinic, and they took the time to go slow with our puppy and help him get comfortable before his exam and vaccinations. He was not at all upset when they brought him back out, and I am so grateful for the extra effort they went to to make his visit as pleasant as possible. All the staff members and the veterinarian were very pleasant and easy to communicate with. Their prices are great too! We will definitely be going back.

Edit to add: They didn’t have time to see my dog when he was vomiting and having episodes of diarrhea because it was a Friday and they were busy, though my dog already had a nail appointment with them scheduled that day, but the vet had time today to grab the phone from the receptionist and say she saw my google review. Apparently they have more time to check their reviews than see their patients.

Great staff...Dr. Sokoloff is warm & compassionate with the animals. Explains things clearly. Highly recommend!

The staff is very welcoming and loving. Prices are also great. Vet is very kind and informing with our visit with Reese today.

We had to put our 14 year old Shepard down. She had grown up with my son and like everyone else with a pet in the family - when the end comes - it just rips your heart out. I want to tell you the lady vet there was the most honestly understanding person of anyone I ever met. She gave us time to say good-bye. Then she gave our dog a calming, relaxing shot (valium like cocktail) so she wouldn't be afraid. She gave us more time while my son and I both cried. This vet assured us to take our time with our good-byes, made us feel it was ok to grieve and made sure our girl was relaxed while laying on the cushy quilt provided. When we were ready, she came back with the final shot to ease our dog through this phase. I've outlived many dogs in my life and saw a few through this - but I have NEVER had a vet offer a calming cocktail to the dog so they wouldn't be afraid and would relax giving us more time to love her before that last shot. I just thought it was the most caring, kindest thing a vet could do. Her kindness to both our dog and us - was something I'll never forget and am very grateful for.

My Angus has been feeling low. Experiencing terrifying symptoms. Weight gain, panting, drinking excessive amounts of water, having accidents in the house, lethargic, muscle weakness. Was advised his symptoms indicated cushings. They did X-rays and blood panel. Was told results would be back on Saturday and perhaps Monday on radiology. I called every day and was told no results yet. He is growing steadily weaker. Finally when I called yesterday they said it takes a few days. I told them it had been a week. Out of the blue they say the test results were on her desk waiting to be reviewed. I was advised they had ruled out a number of things they told me needed dex test. I took him today and he is now even weaker. Her first impression was Cushings. I’m afraid that in the time they made a definitive diagnosis he will pass. This is my baby. I can’t abide the lack of exigence I feel this situation warrants.And still no results back on x rays a week later. Frankly, I’m scared.

My dogs and cats have been going here since I moved to Mint Hill. I love the compassionate care my animals recieve. Dr. Angela is attentive and doesn't push unnecessary treatments. I have one dog with a chronic heart issue and he has thrived under her care. I highly recommend this vet.
