If I could give 0 stars I would. The desk lady was absolutely awfully. She was not willing to answer any questions and instead of answering just hatefuly quieted us up!!!! We also were charged for things we did not ask for. Employees like this is what causes this business to lose clients!!! Her attitude was outright disrespectful and uncalled for. It costs nothing to be kind!!! And yet she sits there with a belligerent attitude to people who only had questions concerning THEIR pet! We will NEVER come back here! And that's sad considering this isnt the first time and we still returned. But not this time. We wont return this time and neither will family and friends associated with us who have also has bad experiences. And for that they can think the "staff", particularly just one.

We had an emergency situation with our dog and our current vet at the time would not see her and the emergency vet in Wilmington was full and would not offer any assistance. I desperately started calling to find help and Bairds answered the call. The vet and staff were wonderful! We had to leave our dog there for observation and surgery. The staff helped us to feel comfortable about our decision. She ended up staying for a few days and was very well cared for while she was there. I definitely recommend Bairds.

On the surface, Baird’s may seem like a small, friendly and inviting vet clinic. Let me go ahead and tell you that this is not so. This office is poorly managed (I say that as if there is any true management at all), myself and close friends and family members have been overcharged or charged for things we did not ask for. Close friends tell me they take their dogs for grooming as soon as the clinic opens, and yet miraculously, when they come to pick up their dog at 5pm, the dog has NOT been touched. A close friend of mine was told earlier this week that she could not charge to her account and had to pay what she owed. Some of what she owed was covered by a voucher she forgot to bring. When offering to bring it the next time she came, she was told she could not do that. Baird’s will try to collect up front payments from some clients, yet for certain ones, they will allow them to charge to an account, seemingly with hardly any limit. Whenever I ask to speak to the manager, Miss Deese, she is hardly ever there. The few times she is there, I see or hear her micromanaging her employees to do their jobs correctly, when she is never there herself. The other office manager Mary is hardly ever there at all, and when she is, I have only ever seen her in the parking lot on her phone. Such behavior is not appropriate in a workplace or professional. Do NOT bring your animals here if you love them. They will not be cared for, and will be rushed out the door while you are overcharged. This is somewhat funny considering Dr. Deese is supposedly a Christian man. For a man of God, he seems less concerned with helping his clients and their animals, and more concerned with lining his pockets as much as he can!!

There were a bunch of caged cats there and my dogs had on new flea collars and were washed in flee shampoo before they went, now they need some pills since they are scratching as if they have them

Dr.Beard and staff are very caring and knowledgeable. I feel very comfortable leaving my pets at the facility and of the treatment given if needed. When I call or come in they know my name and my babies names. It’s like an extended family for us. We have been using Bairds for about 15 years!

By 21-year-old dogs normal vet was unavailable for an appointment till next Thursday and he had symptoms of a possible bladder infection. Not wanting to wait until they're available appointment because of his age and blood in his urine, I hit research on Google and narrowed it down to 103 vets we could see him today. When I explain the circumstances this one was able to get me in today if I was there before 5:00 never having been there before. This staff was friendly professional caring from the front office all the way to everyone in the back. Ladder infection positive extremely high white blood count in the urine. Antibiotic shot antibiotics to take home bed exam urinalysis rabies vaccination and nails trimmed by my request all for under $200! For anyone in the Lumberton area or even whiteville where I drove from 35 minutes away, I highly recommend dispatch office. Even once a year-end sample bought back in about a week check to make sure the white count is coming down. Said if I wanted to get the yard on my own and bring it right up as soon as I got it to save on some costs they had no problem doing that otherwise I can come in and sing your analysis fee for 35 and a reduced. Thank you so much guys for making an unexpected visit less stressful for my 89-year-old mother who has been taking care of the dog knowing that he could get it right away.

I have to say by far the staff and Dr. Desse is the best you would want for your fur babies. They did not hesitate to get my Chloe and Buddy in to be checked and taken care of. I would recommend Baird’s for all your fur babies.

I would have given less than 1 star. We picked out dog up on Friday and paid around $750 only for our dog to be dead the next day. It was my oldest son's dog my youngest had to witness him actually dying. I feel they could've done more or kept him there until he was better.

Took my new fur baby to Baird's Animal Hospital and felt like family from the time I walked in the door. The hospitality was out of this world. All my questions were answered regarding my new baby. Will continue using Baird's Animal Hospital for all vet needs. Highly recommend to others.

Took my 8 month puppy in for what I was told was his final booster shot. It was administered in the wrong place which was his spine, as a result he was particularly paralyzed for almost four days . When it first started the day after the shot we took him back for an emergency visit to get checked out and he misdiagnosed him saying he would need surgery on both knees. I was given a pain medication and a steroid for him and was instructed to give both medications at the same time and bring him back in 4 days for a follow up and to schedule his knee surgeries. After going to Florence for a 2nd opinion I was told my puppy did not need surgery. Bloodwork was done and there was infection in his spine from the booster. And after reading the pamphlet that came with the 2 medications clearly stated not to mix the 2 would cause kidney and other organs to fail. The vet in Florence also said do not give the pain medicine and steroids together. She also went over his shot records and stated that the booster that was given was an overdose. He should not have gotten that until after he was a year old. OUT of DATE vet! STAY AWAY from this place!!!Had to give one star so it would post would give none is it was a choice.IF YOU LOVE YOUR PET DO NOT TAKE THEM HERE!!!!!!

I have been going here for over 20 years. Surgery on dogs and cats. He saved many of our animals. Had a stray cat that was hit by a car. Face torn up. After two surgery you would never know he had been in a accident . Dr. Deese did a great job.
