Place was very clean. All were so nice made us feel comfortable. Dr Gilbert was very nice and answered all our questions. We found our new Vet!

My dog Sam was (as it turns out) bitten by a non venomous snake that caused a massive swelling on her thigh. It was late Saturday night, so I tried to schedule an appointment for Monday on the website. I received an email not long after from the Vet (this was Saturday around midnight!) and they got me scheduled. She removed the mass that Monday. Across the week we were in touch about Sam’s condition, and I was given her direct contact in case of emergency. We were given top notch service, and genuine care for Sam.

It's been a while since I've been here, however the place is extremely (inconveniently) placed. You have a 15 minute window of being late. My suggestion: be early. Anyway, the staff at the time of my visit was really sweet. Had to take my cat there for a exploratory surgery. It was pricey. The surgery in the end proved nothing other than inflammation which they gave her antibiotics for. Unfortunately, her spaying was a botch job from a different place and there was nothing they could do about that except offer pain pills. There is a 50$ wait fee just to be in the office, at least there was when I went there. They took care credit as well. But I give 4 Stars because inconvenient placement and pricey. Other than that, I had no problem here.

I had an AKC free office visit certificate. Called to make appointment & staff told me I will save $50. In the exam room Dr Gilbert told her assist to give me $10 off. Also my dog was pregnant. Dr Gilbert was pushing me to make a c-section appointment & if I didn’t she’d charge more if I call her in the middle of the night. My dog was not high risk & no way would I let this money hungry vet cut her open for NO REASON! My dog delivered a normal delivery with her pups. I resent Dr Gilbert for trying to get over $2000 out of me for an unnecessary C-section. Money is her game no matter how she gets it. I changed vets. Seek 2nd opinion or change to another vet.

I wish there was a way to give a 0 star rating.. If you’re looking for a place that is more money hungry than anything else, then this is the right place for you! Unfortunately as a breeder I had been coming here since 2016 only to receive piss poor service.. There are two people that work in this facility that actually care about the way they make customers feel (Tracy and Cathy) everyone else doesn’t. I thought for the longest this was the only place I could to for breeding here in Lexington... fortunately I have found another vet that does reproduction and they haven’t missed one of my girls yet .. unlike Lexington animal hospital there is no prepay before a service is done. So for all my breeders that go here and are not satisfied with the service, leave. There’s better out there.

Probably the worst vet experience I have ever had. The staff is sub-par at returning phone calls to say THE LEAST!! I would expect professionals to act professional yet it is always I who have to follow up with them and call them multiple times. Just not an organized vet. ALSO everything is a MONEY SCAM. It’s not about the animals it’s about the money!!!! Find a vet that cares!! This is not the one.

Had my dog taken care of here today & Lexington Animal Clinic did an amazing job. My dog is huge & can be alittle hard to deal with sometimes & they handled him perfectly. They were very sweet & patient with him. The staff was so nice, caring, responsive & kept me in the loop the whole time! I believe I will be switching vets. They did so so amazing with him. Thank you all so so much for taking great care of my baby boy. If I could give 10 stars or more I would.

Very unprofessional staff who got argumentative with me on the phone on multiple occasions. My dog had a teeth issue the vet pointed out to me and I called four different times to follow up on the issue and no one was ever able to answer the phone to the point where I had to take him to a different vet. I also called with a concern and the staff told me that they can make no suggestions over the phone that I would have to pay for a full new visit, despite the fact that he had just got a full exam two weeks prior, and that it was just a question regarding some eating habits/concerns. I also had the vet tell me that she was unsure about his teeth condition and that I should talk to people and try and figure it out… Also again giving me no suggestions or recommendations. One of the worst vet experiences I have had. I wish I would’ve listen to the multiple people who told me not to take my dog there in the first place! DO NOT RECOMMEND

Scheduled a 12pm checkup for my puppy. At 12:07 I pulled into the parking lot and dialed the number you are instructed to call for contactless drop off. I was told there would be a “work in fee of $40 for being 7 minutes late” no thank you, you’re on an extremely busy intersection that takes times to enter. I’d never bring another pet back to a place with a policy like this. I’m sure you guys don’t care, but your office is the worst and other vets will happily take my business. 0/10 stars of it were possible.

Care and compassion are their policies. They go above and beyond for our pets.

Small poodle dislocated her hip and took her here, had x-rays done and was told she would need surgery. Said we were going to get a second opinion to which we were told that if we didn't care about our animals we should put them up for adoption. Second opinion said if the muscles and tendons were fine it could be popped back into place. The dog stretched and fixed her hip but still going to second opinion to make sure she is alright. Never going here again. Very rude.

I had an appointment with them at 5 to give shots to my Boykin Spaniard and I tried to call the number to let them know that I've arrived. The number does not work or do the people working there do. I went up to the window and they just ignored me and 15 minutes past and still waiting. I will be looking for a different location to get my dogs shots and appointments.

I have nothing but great things to say about this business. Not only was I employed here for about a year and a half but Dr. Gilbert went to great measures taking care of all of my fur babies. I would *highly* recommend anyone looking for a wonderful and caring Veterinarian who takes care of your babies as if they were her own!

Our Chihuahua Lil Joey loves Dr.Gilbert, she saved his life several yrs.ago, even took him home with her for continued intensive care until he was transported to the Surgical Center for emergency surgery. Joey is having dental surgery today as we speak. Dr.Gilbert and her staff get 10 stars from us. God Bless You, Dr.Gilbert.

They took care of my cat and helped him extend his life when he developed laryngeal cancer. When it was time to euthenize him, they showed unexpected compassion, with sincere hugs, followed by a card with detailed comments by the Doc and all the staff. They made this difficult time much easier.
