He doesn’t care much for the vet usually, but the staff at Sun Dog Cat Moon had my Dobie man all smiles and wiggles when he came out. I much appreciated the “no contact” precautions. Returning and happy dog dad.

We have been taking our dogs to Sun Dog Cat Moon for so many years that we've had to say goodbye to a couple of our pups there at the clinic along the way. But with their holistic and integrative approach, utilizing chinese medicine and acupuncture, we truly believe that our dogs had a much better quality of life in their senior years and we got to enjoy them for a longer time than we would've had otherwise. The Veterinarians at Sun Dog Cat Moon are knowledgeable and very skilled at what they do, and the staff is always kind, helpful and professional. We recommend them highly!

Other veterinary service providers can not compare with what they offer. Sun Dog Cat Moon is a truly integrative vet practice that uses cutting edge, traditional, and alternative treatments that really help your pet lead their best life. They dont push vaccines or prescription food like royal canin - amen to that! Both veterinarians at the practice have multiple certifications and degrees above and beyond their DVM. They offer acupuncture, herbal therapy, behavior and nutritional counseling, laser therapies, and pain management to name a few. Everyone at Sun Dog Cat Moon takes great pride in being knowledgeable and responsive. I love that they love my pets and get excited over seeing them. They make the animals comfortable, and strive to get appointments set when animals need medical attention. They take the time to follow up to check on the pets and families. It is comforting to speak directly to my Vet on the phone and to have her call personally at the end of the day to see how pets are responding to care and treatment! Sun Dog Cat Moon also has a great and reliable network of referral specialists and they coordinate communication so they are fully informed and current. Sun Dog Cat Moon is truly special place for care for your pets.

Very well run operation. Took my 9 week old golden retriever in for his second round of shots and was surprised by how well everything was handled and how easy they made it for me and buddy.

They have forgotten to call in a prescription for my dog several times. Not acceptable considering the amount they charge for services.

Took our 6 month old pup in to discuss some skin problems. Vitamins suggest were about $80 which seemed a little steep so we opted out. Also was suggested to bathe every other day which is horrible for dogs' skin to use that much shampoo. 'Washing your dog too often can strip their skin of oils, damage hair follicles, increase risk of bacterial or fungal infections, and disrupt natural insulation', so we will be opting out of that as well. We were then told he was overweight and when I inquired I was told that they know that 'by feeling'. Said she didn't even know how much he weighed, she could just tell by feeling him. I expressed some disbelief and she talked a bit leading to a comment of 'it's like humans, the thinner the better'. As a 6 month old puppy that's growing I disagree that he's overweight considering we can feel his ribs, according to them they weren't able to feel his ribs enough which categorizes him as overweight. We make our dogs food and they gave us a dog food recipe with different suggestions, which we will be utilizing. Although, the recipe includes raw garlic which shocked me. 'According to the Merck Veterinary Manual, garlic and other members of the allium family, including onions, contain thiosulfate, which is toxic to dogs but not to humans. Thiosulfate causes oxidative damage to red blood cells, resulting in hemolytic anemia.' Unfortunately this was not the experience we had hoped for, do your personal research before considering recommendations by this clinic.

BEWARE OF SUN DOG MOON CAT VET. I called 2 weeks ago for an apt for my dog, Dodi who is is 17 years old. I told them that I wanted her checked and to come in and discuss end of life care. We have moved from Sville to James Island and I felt that we needed a vet close by although we liked our vet in Summerville. We had taken Dodi there for Allergy relief about 11 years ago. She even had acupuncture with a bill of $400. Upon calling, the girl was very accommodating with every thing I asked for. BUT TODAY: I was made to pick a parking space with a number, call the number on the sign. I was told that I could not come in with her. I said "NO!" They said that they would call me back. They called back ten minutes later and told me that a person would come to the car, I would point out the issues, and tell the person my complaint. Then she or he would tell the doctor what I said. Doc would check Dodi, tell the person what they thought and they would tell me. I said "NO". Then she said the doctor would come out to my car if I liked. She began the c---talk. I said "do you not know that the Gov lifted the mask mandate?" She said, "OH NO, THE GOVERNOR SAID THAT YOU COULD ONLY TAKE OFF THE MASK IF YOU ARE VACCINATED!" Where are these people drinking the Kool Aid from? She told me that was what they were going to offer me. I told her that I was going to offer to put this entire scenario out all over social media. I called my old vet in Summerville, Nemasket Clinic and they were shocked. We have an apt in 2 weeks. SUN DOG MOON CAT IS SUPPOSED TO BE ALL NATURAL... YEAH, RIGHT!

I have total confidence in the entire team at Sun Dog Cat Moon. My dog Cassie loves the staff and their dedication to health and wellness is what has extended the happiness and well being of my 14 1/2 year old Flat coat Retriever Cassie. We can't thank Dr Wilson and her staff enough. Cassie loves going to the Sun Dog Cat Moon because she always feels better when she leaves. The best vet healthcare by far.

The vets were so accommodating when we unexpectedly had to put our dog down and didn’t have a Charleston area vet. They are a very caring, professional and warm environment. Thank you for taking care of our family.

They are so great with my dogs and even helped my old girl go out peacefully. They don't push products or over charge. If they recommend it then it's what is best for your animal.

There has never been a day that Sun Dog Cat Moon hasn't helped me when I call. Doodle Doc (Kelsey Pruitt) and her staff are just Doodle*tastic! Jaxson's ear issues due to allergies can be troubling at times, but they are always on target with their diagnosis and treatment. Harley is 12.5 years old and has the body of a teenager. Between nutrition guidance, regular check-ups and monitoring his weight - he is as spry now as he was 10 years ago. If you love your pet like family - then this is where you need to take them. It's that simple.... Tel em' the "Doodle Boys" sent you. Trust - you won't be disappointed.

This was a new puppy visit. The office and staff have worked out their Covid protocols to a tee. There was no waiting, all information was carefully and methodically detailed. We spent at least 10-15 minutes speaking to Katie before our pup was brought in. My concerns and questions were all addressed. After Dr Wilson examined our pup she called me in the car and spent 10-15 minutes outlining her care, food, etc. all the questions a new parent may have. They took into respected how I wanted to proceed. This was my first visit to this practice and I was extremely impressed. Thank You.

Love this vet, they are caring and want the very best for my dogs. I have a deaf, shy dog and they are so patient with her. Everyone uses her sign language to communicate with her and makes sure she is relaxed for every visit.

My puppy saw Kelsey Pruitt about 3 weeks ago. I'm friends with the former owner of the clinic, which is why I went there. They asked me to change my puppy's food. I did just that and took photos to email them the very same day. No one told me Kelsey Pruitt was on vacation for the next week. So, I was expecting an email from her in regards to my puppy's food. After a 2nd email, we were asked to leave the practice--the day before my puppy's vaccine booster was due. When Dr. Roberts owned it, this clinic was awesome. Not anymore.

Today was my first visit to SDCM with my mini golden doodle. We switched from a not so friendly vet down the street. I was blown away by how nice the staff was here. Katie greeted us at the car (right on time for our appointment), the staff called me 3 times while my puppy was in their office with updates, and it was SO affordable. Excited to have a new veterinary home for both of our dogs and truly appreciative of the kind staff! Highly recommend.

Dr Wilson and staff showed real concern for my dog's well being. It was really difficult not being able to be with him in the clinic, but they worked hard to include me. I would definitely recommend.

My 14 year old Pom and I were just at Sun Dog Cat Moon this morning. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable like they always are and their COVID procedures were easy to follow and streamlined. I love that they lead with holistic care, which is exactly what I'm looking for. Highly recommend this vet as either your primary or secondary vet for a second opinion.

Dr. Pruitt and her staff are very caring and professional. She helped save my hounds life after he decided to put a pillow case on his menu. I would recommend them to anyone.
