Excellent and friendly staff. Very clean. The staff are very accomodating to your's and your pets needs.

I have a 1.5 year old German shepherd ‘puppy’ that I brought home right before quarantine last year. This pup grew through his first year really only knowing me and his two four-legged brothers. He is not very used to people or dogs other than his brother. Moonshadow was the first , and only, place I brought Maximus to. He was very scared and anxious his first day there and the staff was so loving and patient with him. They have been so helpful and are extremely responsive. I am very grateful for this kennel as my boy transitions from losing his brother (had to put him down 2 months ago) and becomes more acclimated with other dogs and people.

Very Expensive, asked for 1 dog to be washed and brushed they forgot and closed from noon til 3pm

Lost a star due to inconsistent grooming the last 18 months. We "may" still use boarding, but will move on with grooming elsewhere on John's Island.

We took our 2 dogs here for a long weekend getaway. They were very kind and didn't seem to mind when we called to check in on the boys after the first night. Facility seemed very well kept and we felt safe traveling our fur babies and they have great rates. Already booked another stay with them!

They take very good care of our pup! Love it here!

Nice place to take care of your pet if you need to take a break.

My dog stayed here twice. The first time he came home hungry and with bloody stools. This time I packed the exact amount of food. Not only was his nails not cut, but he had almost all of his food left. I called and asked for pictures, none were taken or sent. Dog owners beware. I hope Charleston County shuts them down.

We were in Charleston for a wedding, traveling from Columbia and heading to South Florida. We needed a place to keep our dog and kitty for a few hours while we celebrated at the wedding. The staff was very accommodating and a pleasure to work with. We needed a late pickup. We were given the number of the night caregiver and called when we were ready to pick up our babies. Very friendly and nice to work with for special requests.

Cooper has never been to the groomer until today. His nails were long and he had a few mats in his hair and knots on the finer hair on his belly, so I knew it was time to stop hacking away at his hair and let a professional do it. I've never dropped him off and left him anywhere, so he was extremely nervous and growled at anything that walked by. Christia greeted us outside and we came inside to get the two acquainted before I left. Immediately you can tell how happy she is with her work and how much she loves taking care of all of the pets! I felt completely comfortable leaving Cooper in her care. I left him at Moonshadow for about two hours and Cooper was done when she said she would be done with him and he was like a new dog! Not only was his hair and nails trimmed perfectly and he felt silky smooth, but his whole personality changed! He had bonded with her and was going up to people in a friendly and playful way which is out of character for him as he has always been the type of dog that is very intimidared at first. I was so happy to see him look so good and feel good. He was so calm and comfortable and really seemed to trust Christina. Without a doubt we will be going back and I surely will reccomend others to come to this amazing place. When you are leaving your pet outside of your realm of protection, you want to leave them with people you trust and know will take care of your pet as if they are their own. These are good, honest people that love what they are doing. Thank you guys so much for taking such good care of my boy!

Could of been a little cleaner actually never left my animals before, but went in for a work interview and it was a little bit unorganized. The ladies there were nice but there method wasn't what I would want for my animals. I've been a Ast manager of a ABKA kennel many moons ago so I know what I would want and expect for my pets and others pets. They have dogs in kennels on top of kennels majority of dogs didn't have blankets in their kennel now mind you this was last week so temps were in the low 30s. A lot of gossiping and talking that could of been redirected to organizing, cleaning disinfecting kennels and runs. Come up as unprofessional ex: A client came for her dog which smelt like urine want him bathe prior to putting him in her vehicle and it literally looked like a circus there is a glass window in the door so she could see her pet and the 2 kennel techs going around in circles with the hose trying to wash/rinse him off (I was completely mortified) no control over the dog and I'm sorry but a customer should never ask for a bath because they smell urine on their pet. Like I said girls where nice and were kind to the animals but a lot of stuff could be improved if they were willing too.

Great, friendly staff. They took excellent care of my Gizmo. She loved it. This was my first time boarding her and I was a bit nervous, they made me feel at ease and cared for her as if she were their own. We will definitely use again.

The groomer did a very good job on our border collie. The staff for the kennel was young but it was Saturday am. They were friendly but kinda disorganized, still seems like a popular place. Lots of dogs!

Best service in greater Charleston!

This is a wonderful place. I actually got my dog from them. They took in a stray Coon Hound that showed up at Moonshadow. He was beat up and cut up. They cleaned him up and doctored him up. They even took him to a vet and had a 5" cut on his side treated. I was at Moonshadow on other business and saw this beautiful dog. They let me have him at no cost for the promise of giving him a good home even though they had vet bills and had been boarding him for a couple months. And by the way they checked him 3 times for a chip and tried to find the original owner but that's the life of a Coon Hound. If they aren't a good hunter they get cast aside. That was about 3 years ago. My boy still loves going back to Moonshadow. Thank you guys!!!

This place is a great option for housing your pet while you're away. They have plenty of space, plenty of play time, and the staff really seems to love our fur babies like their own. We've been bringing our dog here for years and he loses his mind with excitement every time we turn into their driveway!

We had given our dog a bath prior to taking hi there on Friday. After spending only 3 and a half days he had a intoxicating smell —- poop??

I am writing about the groomer, Chris Denham, who grooms two of my dogs. I have a Bernese Mountain Dog and her daughter a Bernedoodle. Chris is first of all a pet lover. It is so clear she is good to your pet and likes them if not loves them! She takes care to ensure the dog trusts her and is comfortable with her. The work she does is incredible as well and my dogs always look amazing. She is truly skilled in dog grooming but combined with her true love of animals makes her number 1 in my book!

I love moonshadow! My dog gets a little anxious in new places, especially if she’s surrounded by other dogs. It always broke my heart watching her pull towards me when I would drop her off at other doggy daycares but my dog loves moonshadow and now will walk straight in without looking back! I can tell my dog loves it there which is good enough for me!

Only place our 13 year old picky dog will go. When we get close, she gets excited, and that says a lot for a dog that only goes there a few times a year.

The price was very reasonable and they took great care of Penny. The dogs had an indoor/outdoor area to stay which offered enough exercise and stimulation. The staff also let the dogs have supervised play time at different times. They sent us home with her report card detailing how she was which was a cool touch. Will definitely be going back.
