They were just what I needed for my furbaby! Caring and professional folks. I'm glad I chose Friarsgate AH when I needed a vet. Dr. Glen gave me peace of mind and knew what my furbaby needed. I highly recommend Friarsgate AH.

We have had two of our fur babies tended to by Dr. Mundell and Dr. Hurst. We have been loyal customers for over 27 years now , with our first , Chelsea, living to just a bit over 16 years and now our Molly going strong at 11 years old. I have recommended them to countless friends and clients as I sell Real Estate and of course people ask who I would recommend. We highly recommend their practice! Donna & Paul Arvay

I highly recommend Friarsgate Animal Hospital! My dog broke her leg and Dr. Jeffcoat did everything she possibly could to help her. Everyone that I’ve come in contact with at the office has been so sweet. I could tell that everyone there loved animals and really cared about Cleo. I will never be able to thank Dr. Jeffcoat and her team enough for what they did for Cleo

The appointments are on time, and the staff is caring. Having appointments that take place on time is important to me, and these folks deliver. Also, my dog likes the treats they offer here.

My dog was having signs of a bowel obstruction, they let me bring her in as a new patient because I live on broad and wouldn't take too long, once they looked at her and gave her an exam they were straight up with me, and explained an x-ray would be a good idea but not necessary, that speaks volumes to me. We are all hurting with money right now, and they could've told me she needed one, spend over $300 and have no idea! Very kind, patient, and they don't try to squeeze every penny out of you like other vets!

Quick appointment scheduling, friendly staff and convenient location. Med prices are a bit high, but that’s anywhere you go! Outside of that, I thought the pricing was actually better than other local places we’ve gone. They have a new app that is user friendly and it makes communication with the staff very easy. (You can even post selfies if your fur babies!) Everyone was very gentle with my sick kitty and they followed up with me the following day. I’m very pleased with the care my pet received, the pricing and the genuine concern shown by the staff.

This place helped my sweet dog and my family more than I can put into words. Incredibly grateful for Dr. Jeffcoat and how much she cared. She helped us navigate an incredibly difficult situation and my furbaby has made a full recovery.

So sad when your vet retires. But so happy to have found Friarsgate! This was my second visit, first "in person" (thank you, Covid). Everyone friendly and helpful. Dr Hurst took time to address my questions and concerns. AND within three days, little Abby was much better!! Thank you, Friarsgate!!

Brought my dog in due to some limping. Had to wait for around an hour and a half but then was told it'd be longer due to another animal suffering heat stroke. Was frustrated with the situation, hence the 4 stars, however... I'm not going to be too upset over them prioritizing an animal that needed more attention than mine did. Understandable.

I imagine there is probably a bad experience for every vet out there but here’s mine for Friarsgate - Six years ago I took my 15-1/2 year-old Chesapeake Bay retriever to Friarsgate specifically to have her hips x-rayed because she was having a hard time walking. I asked them to do that and I also agreed to have them do a full examination because she hadn’t had one in a while. After they finished they told me I would get the results in a couple of days and and they charged me over $400 for everything. When I didn’t hear from them, I called and they said everything looked OK but when I asked about the x-ray they said “oh we didn’t do that”. They told me I would have to bring her back in which was a pain because at that point I literally had to pick up this 100 pound dog and put her in the car because she couldn’t jump in on her own. (I had a 2002 Prius at the time which was very low to the ground so that tells you how bad off she was). I decided just not to fool with it. A couple of days after that they called to tell me that they hadn’t charged me for all the services that they had provided and that I owed them another $42. When I said that they hadn’t provided the services I had requested, that they had charged me enough already, and that I wasn’t going to pay it; they informed me either I would pay it or they would turn it over to collections. And sure enough that’s what they did. I am still getting letters from a collection agency six years later - the most recent just two weeks ago. Needless to say I never went back.

We took our almost 12 year old Weimaraner to Dr. Mundell at Friarsgate Animal hospital today. We decided to try them after poor care at our previous vet. We read good reviews and were personally recommended by friends and family. We were very pleased with the care our dog received. Dr. Mundell took time to talk with us, he answered all our questions, and was very informative. He was personable and even got on the floor with our dog. We left feeling educated and relieved about our dog and his care. We couldn’t of been happier .

First time visit with my deaf Great Dane-came all the way from Elgin based on a recommendation and was not disappointed. Great bedside manner from both doc and tech and they addressed all of my concerns of being a first time owner of a deaf dog.

Finally, after searching for years after moving here to Irmo I can say I have found the perfect place for my animals to receive care. I can not say enough amazing things about this.. The vet tech staff is full of incredible, outgoing, and caring people.. The Doctors really show their care and concern for your animals like no other.. After dealing with many (Money hungry vets in Irmo) I can honestly say this place cares more about the well being of the animal instead of the money. I wish I had found this place years ago.. I 100% recommended them, They are simply the best.

Just want to take a minute to thank the doctors and staff at Friarsgate Animal Hospital. Little Radar, our Chi furbaby, came to us as a few week old puppy sixteen years ago. He started his doctor visits with Dr. Mundell at FAH, getting his puppy shots. Through his sixteen years, he visited all three of FAH doctors and met many of the staff. Through the years we always felt Radar was receiving the best veterinary care possible. Dr. Mundell was our primary doctor and would always take the needed time to explain any procedure or care Radar required. He would always explain any choices we might have and the pros/cons of each. When you have to watch your furbaby take its last breath, its never easy. No one can take the pain away. But as we stood there, Dr. Mundell made the pain manageable. We will always be grateful for the professional and loving care our little Radar received from the doctors and staff at Friarsgate Animal Hospital. May God richly bless all of you!
