Very good care of my furbaby

We had our first visit with Kanuga Aninal Clinic, recommended to us by the Blue Ridge Humane Society where we adopted our pup from. Scheduling was easy, front office staff was friendly and helpful, and my dog loved the vet tech (and treats). We were in and out quickly with little wait and well taken care of. Would have liked to have had more face to face time with the Veterinarian but overall a good first visit.

Took my two dogs for annual yesterday. Vet tech asked if I'd like to have nails clipped. I said yes, and thanked her for asking. I assumed they would be careful since this can be such a traumatizing and painful experience if not done well. This morning one of my dogs was clearly in pain. Took her back to the vet, and they examined her and said they could see nothing wrong. No apology was offered and no suggestions provided to help alleviate the pain. I told vet that dog was in so much pain that she hadn't even been up to go outside to relieve herself, and her response was suggest that you take care of that before you put her in the car. My take is that this vet did not take responsibility for their work, and showed no compassion for the painful results they created. I will not be back.

do *NOT* trust your beloved furry child here. Disgusting practice. I've had my siamese cats here for years.. something HUGE has changed... I cannot believe what I just went thru (from LATE call re: serious diagnosis & a garbled message, to RUDENESS to a PAYING client, to unprofessional behaviour on phone, & giggly voicemails when finally leaving serious msg.) I asked them to collect my cat's charts -I WILL GO ELSEWHERE. **BEWARE** And some person that they left in charge to answer phones: Maria, Mariia, whatever her name is, who left me on hold when I called to get results... absolutely despicable person the phone - couldn't even pronounce my cat's diagnosis! I could say so much more..

NOT A COVID-CONSCIOUS BUSINESS. I have never had a worst vet experience. I recently relocated and needed a new vet for my cat. I walked into the waiting room and none of the staff or fellow clients were wearing masks (I was the only one), which is not unusual in WNC, but still made me uncomfortable. The vet tech brought me into a small room to see my cat. I asked her to put on a mask and explained that I was feeling uncomfortable because we weren't able to social distance in that small space. She obliged when she came back in the room, but she informed me that the veterinarian, Dr. Parsons, refused to wear a mask and that I could either let her treat my cat in the room with me or in the backroom without me. I was shocked. I explained to the tech that I would like to be in the same room with my cat to reassure him, but also want to be safe. The tech was in a rush, and I felt pressured into letting him be seen in the backroom. I was literally a scared new client. I didn't even get a single glimpse of this vet who treated my cat. I should have turned around and left the moment I entered their waiting room. This was an abhorrent customer service experience. I will never go back.

They can’t tell the difference between male and female cats. They identified two kittens (6 mos old) as male, despite one having no testicles, and then changed the records when it became clear that they were wrong. I highly recommend you stay away from this place.

We had the vet come to our home with her assistant after closing to put our sweet dog to sleep …and it was the worst experience ever. They administered the first tranquilizer to relax our dog but did not wait long enough for it to take effect before administering the final medication. Our dog howled in pain for a good few minutes. It was devastating to us. When they left they picked our dog off the couch by lifting her up by the back feet only..We will never forget the experience and remain pained by saying goodbye to our beloved dog in this way.. by the way in reading past reviews I saw another review where when putting their dog to sleep it squealed in pain with the second shot just like our dog.. totally unacceptable veterinary practice.

Took my girl London to get her teeth cleaned, I'm very protective over her and this was something huge for the both of us. They made sure that I was relaxed and comforted, they called me immediately after the procedure was done and the anesthesia wore off and told me everything thing went well and that she is doing well and is ready to go home. They are very friendly, very professional, courteous, and care about your animals! I highly recommend them.

Dr. Parsons is cold and cares more about money then your pet. She had no empathy when she told us our dog is "full of cancer" and wasn't honest about the prognosis having us waste a lot more money seeing a specialist that gave us honest news.

I had to bring my poor Kitty in because she was having some issues And I was grateful to get a voucher from the Humane Society for $150 They refuse to let me come in and help my cat because they could not Contain her and I told them About her So I had to be charged Extra money to put her Under anesthesia When it could have been avoided when I could have helped them I had to pay $300 after the hundred and $50 voucher I was literally just a few dollars short And they refused my care because I couldn't pay like $5 even after I told them I literally get paid in a couple of hours I can bring it right back They refused To work that out with me So I had to call people to borrow $5 So they could have their payment in full Otherwise they were not going to take care of my cat! If it wasn't for that this was the only place to get my kitty in as quick as possible I promise you I'll never come back!

Mariel came out and greeted is to discuss what to expect with a new kitten in the house. She was very patient and knowledgeable. Jessica was also very helpful in making sure I understood what was done during the exam and was very professional and kind. 10/10 service. Thank you ladies!

We were getting ready to leave town and we noticed our dog was not breathing well. Kanuga Animal Clinic let us bring our dog in to examine her right at closing time. They did a great job! They gave Molly some antibiotics and cough suppression pills. With in 2 days she was feeling much better. Thank you for the last minute appointment!
