We've had three dogs over the past 23 years and have taken them each to Haywood Road Animal Hospital. They've taken great care of our animals, and I am so impressed by the new ownership and the care and service they provide. Courteous and friendly staff, and knowledgable, caring veterinarians. Highly recommend.

The man I talked to when I called to cancel an appointment drilled me on why I was canceling, where we were going other than their office and then proceeded to tell me the place I chose to go wasn’t good with giving records. Way too pushy for my liking.

The entire team enveloped my senior beagle like he was theirs. I honestly believed he would stay there with them all day. Thanks for your caring.

Everyone was very kind and professional. I know my animal received good care. The only thing I didn't like was that I couldn't be with him during all the examination and shots.

I've been boarding my pets here for a couple of years now, but yesterday was my 1st time using the pet hospital. Overall, I'm pleased with my appointment. We had to adhere to the covid guidelines in place, which meant they came to my car to get my fur baby. Things evidently went well & my pup was returned to me in a fairly quick time. The person examining my dog called me to go over a few things & then another person called to finish up with the billing. Good experience.

My husband and I are extremely happy with the new vet Dr Shoemake. . In our first years there with our other dog, Dr Creel was excellent;, but time came for him to retire. We are very pleased with all the services. We love all the friendly staff. Thank you for once again making this an excellent facility.

I am always so pleased with our experience. The staff is kind, efficient and knowledgeable. I know my puppy is in good hands and I highly recommend them.

Extraordinary people. Professional and caring. I've been taking my cat here for the last two years and do not want to take her anywhere else. Update: So, when I made this review I had no idea that over the coming weeks my cat, a calico named Patches, was going to have some major health issues spiraling into finally having to put her to sleep. But I can say without compunction, that the care and dedication of those at Haywood Road Animal Hospital helped out in a way I can't even begin to thank them for. Every last one of them. They helped care for her and look after her until her final day. Thank you to all of them so very much.

They did exactly what I asked for. My poodle looked great. Was happy when she came home. I’m glad to have a great groomer now!

This place is horrible!! The first time I went there I spoke to a Doctor named Creel. He knew nothing he was talking about and repeated himself like 5 times. He hit on me multiple times which made me uncomfortable. He had his assistant out there named Haley I believe, and she said nothing! Then she had the nerve to charge me $58 when the Doctor didn’t even touch my pet?? Please tell me why that’s okay? A friend of mine says she went there a few times but got a lady doctor who looked like she rode a Harley. She wore a bandanna and misdiagnosed her dog. She also said no one there knew what they were doing. I have never heard of such service.

I have been bringing my cat here for years, but I have recently been disappointed with the care Dr Creel was giving to my cat. He ignored me and was dismissive and continued to put my cat on steroids without doing any tests. I brought my cat back last week, and finally got the care for my little boy that he deserves now that Dr Creel is gone. Dr McNair and Dr Shoemake listened to me. They worked hard to figure out what was wrong with my cat. Long story short, my cat was in diabetic keto acidosis and almost died! The new team took such great care of my cat and were so patient with me as I called to check on him while he was hospitalized. I couldn’t have asked for a better experience! Aboo and I will see you guys soon. Thanks for everything! :)

My girlfriend and I took in a little kitten that was 3 days old. About a week in the kitten was not doing so well and struggling to breath. We brought her here to see if they could help. Well what they did do is charge us $55 to watch our kitten pass away with us. All they did was put her on a heating pad and watch her pass away. Literally nothing was done. I understand she was a week old and not much could be done. But maybe show some sympathy for some who just lost a pet and you did NOTHING to help. Hate to say it but Don’t go here.

We took our two dogs to Dr. Shoemake and she was fantastic! She was kind and responsive and made sure we were all comfortable. The office staff was responsive and friendly. We will most definitely be back!

I have been bringing family pets to Haywood Road Animal Hospital for at least 16 years, and I don’t ever plan on going anywhere else! Dr. Creel, Dr. Wilkie, Betty, and Hailey combine expert care with sincere compassion. They always take the time to explain treatment options and answer any questions. We experienced the painful loss of our old guy, Rooney, over a year ago. Betty and Hailey were so incredible during that time. Now we get to share smiles again as we bring our new pup to them.

This is a great vet's office. I've been taking my cat here for years, and they treat her so kindly even though she does not return the love. They have assisted with check ups, shots and even surgery. Through it all, they have been caring and a pleasure to deal with. I'm not sure how long my old cat has left, but we will be coming here until the end. I even make the drive after moving out of town. I recommend this office, and I will bring any future fur-babies to this location.
