Cannot express enough gratitude to the staff and surgeons for helping my baby. They never gave up on her and have done everything and used all the tools at their disposal to go above and beyond to make sure she has gotten the emergency medical procedures she needed. They have saved my baby and I will always be greatful to them.

I'm editing to say that a year later, my cat has made huge improvements. If I hadn't taken her immediately and they treat her she would not be alive. They were patient with me. One of the nurses even FaceTime me to see her while she was in …

One wonders what closeted financial gains are pocketed by continuing to push a crumbling agenda....which then leads one to question the integrity of the participants in such efforts.

My 10 year old chihuahua is not an ideal veterinary patient. When I adopted her from the shelter at 6 months old, they gave her to me for free with her muzzle and warned me she had had a rough past. Fortunately, she loves our family. But I panicked this past weekend when during the inclement weather she was not herself. She needed emergency veterinary care but knowing she's a handful, I was concerned that if she needed hospitalization it wouldn't be manageable and that all the 24 hr vet hospitals would be overwhelmed. The receptionist who took my panicked call during a busy time for their clinic was professional and understanding. Dr. Moye was incredibly compassionate during Cai's intake, getting us a diagnosis and a plan. Thankfully the veterinarians, techs, and assistants all part of Cai's case were able to handle her (with a little medicinal help at times & a gentle slow approach) and keep her hospitalized while she fought diabetic ketoacidosis. I also appreciated the incredibly detailed phone calls I received from Dr. Gantt about her care, and her patience with me when I would call back with additional questions. At no point was I made to feel like a burden for having a difficult pet who needed extensive care and that is worth it's weight in gold to me. She's doing splendidly at home now and we are managing her newly diagnosed diabetes. She went from frail and disoriented on Saturday, healthy enough to discharge on Tuesday, and spunky and energetic again by Friday thanks to CVETS. DKA is a scary diagnosis and I'm glad we caught it in time. I'll be using CVETS for all emergency and specialty needs going forward. Pictures: in e collar at hospital when we were able to visit her, and then home and happy just a few days later.

The tough part of an emergency vet is you're rarely if ever there for a non-stressful situation. Ours certainly was, but all the staff at CVETS did a wonderful job with their care for Aloysius. We waited a couple hours in the parking lot and an attendant checked on us, with drinks and snacks. While it was difficult not staying with our dog, I felt comfortable at the care being provided.

The reason I gave 2 stars because the nurses were polite and front desk.I took my puppy there he was 5months old he caught parvo and brought him in there and less than 12 hrs later I had a deceased puppy I was so heartbroken being 8months pregnant and losing my puppy after thinking I got him the best help and the doctor said his vitals were fine his blood pressure was fine he even informed me that I caught it early enough so he should make a recovery my boy didn't even last a day didn't even last overnight. He died at 3am and I was in there with him for every breath every moment didn't even take my eyes of him. I listen to the directions given and even googled all day just to make sure I gave him the best care. But for them to diagnose him and tell me he should recover and he dies less than 12hrs from leaving there and being treated. Is not a experience I wanna have again I feel robbed and low and I will never take a pet there or ever refer my family there. I have so much regret in this decision. I'm so heartbroken. I felt like the doctor should have known this and should not have recommended in home care at all I feel like even as expensive as in patient care was I would've done more if I knew I only had a few hours with him just to be mislead makes me wonder so many different things. I do not recommend this veterinarian to anybody.

If we were able to give more stars, we would. Everyone at CVETS is wonderful! From the front desk staff, to the vet techs and nurses, to the doctors, and to the ancillary staff. We were in and out numerous times with our sweet Dixie over the New Year holiday and into the following two weeks. They left no stone unturned trying to solve Dixie's breathing difficulties. She continued to decline and we made the decision to let her go so she would no longer suffer. Not the end we hoped for after all we tried to do for her. However, we cannot thank everyone at CVETS for their care and concern. We want to especially thank Dr. Haviland, the internist. You truly went above and beyond for our Dixie. You are incredible! Thank you to Dr. Portales, Dr. Kent, and Dr. Edwards. We wish we had everyone's names that participated in caring for Dixie, but please know how much we thank YOU! We also want to thank Kitty and Ash for being so kind and loving and caring as you helped us get Dixie ready to come home. Your kindness will not be forgotten. So, with all that, let us wholeheartedly recommend CVETS for your pet. They are simply THE BEST all the way around. Thank you all.

I had the most terrifying day when my cat was acting really weird. Turns out she had a several foreign bodies in her stomach & intestine. I was so upset and scared since it was life-threatening, and I brought her right to CVETS. They were so assuring and Dr. Wolff removed everything with just 1 incision. My cat is doing so much better now and I could not recommend CVETS more!

Very caring and well as professional. We had the opportunity to watch other people and their pets engage with the professionals there. Both me and my husband were impressed with the way everyone greeted the pets and the owners. You were made to feel as if you really mattered as well as your pet. I did not see a single pet misbehave! They were all eager to be seen . Amazing!! Everything is explained and prices were given so you know what needs to be done to your pet as well as how much it costs.

Take your pets elsewhere, if not expect to be there for hours. I took my pet in for a broken leg, and upon entry me and my fiancee were asked to sit outside with our pet and newborn in the cold. Then when they realized what they'd done wrong, put us in a room and I'm assuming they'd forgotten we were in there because it took 3 hours for someone to come get my puppy, then another hour for someone to say she needs X-rays and given pain meds (we could still hear her hollaring in pain) so 4 hours for my puppy to be seen when there was only a handful of people in front of us. But don't worry they're quick when it comes to getting you your bill, and expecting you to pay.

All staff members show extreme compassion for the pets they tend. Doctors are top-notch and take time to explain everything in detail. I am very pleased with CVETS and how they cared for my precious Misty.

The staff at CVETS were wonderful right down to the secretary who answered the phone. We were treated with compassion and everything was explained in detail by the doctor and staff. Unfortunately our fur baby did not survive. I have no doubt that those who cared for him did so lovingly. They immediately addressed his pain and gave us the opportunity to be with him in his last moments. We chose to have him returned to us for burial and the ladies who prepared him carried him out to the car and placed him in as if he was their beloved baby. Thank you CVETS

My neighbor works here, and while I was being a complete crazy person cleaning all night I happened to step outside on my porch to see her leaving at ungodly hours of the morning in THE MIDDLE OF AND ICE STORM. I asked her where she was headed and I posted a picture of her response. THESE are the type of people that work here. The type of folks that will leave their cute little family in the middle of an ice storm to take care of your little furry friends. They’re… well… kind of insanely passionate about the work they do ???? We also co parent a cute kitty that was dropped from the sky by a raptor in our yard and left with one less toe; and they fixed her up beautifully and left us with the sweetest, most grateful purr factory you could ask for!

This business is exactly what I look for S a pet owner it has 1) staff that care and 2) they don’t try to rip you off. My dog had a serious eye injury and we brought her in at night understanding in advance after calling we would have a 4-6 hour wait. The facility is clean, the waiting areas well separated and the staff does a great job of keeping patients up to date on where they are in the process. There are also drinks (coffee, water, etc) and snacks to ensure you can maintain while waiting to be helped. The doctor we saw was extremely professional even though he was tending to 20-30 injured pets waiting to be seen and in the holding area in the back. We left our dog overnight without any issues. Because of the nature of her I just (eye injury) she had to wait to see the specialist in the morning. They were also upfront that dependent on the injury it could get very expensive - all we expect is to have that open conversation on the price. The specialist for eye injuries is there on Tuesday and Wednesday so we again lucked out. If this great vet clinic wasn’t here we would have had to drive to Charlotte as the majority of clinics and emergency clinics in Columbia are not good (dirty and overpriced). I recommend this clinic they have great facilities , doctors, and can handle just about anything on site.

They took my Chloe right back, the people & vet were sympathetic and very nice four stars because it is very expensive you pay for everything and you have to pay it up front unless you have pet insurance which would be a smart thing to do if you're a pet owner because the price for hospitalization and just for blood work is a little high for me but other than that great place to take your animals even though my Chloe didn't make it

My daughter called CVETS because her cat was having trouble breathing. She was told that they were very busy and that the problem Joey was having was not considered enough of an emergency for them to see him today. She took Joey to another vet where he was diagnosed with heart failure. Sadly, Joey did not make it. I would never bring a beloved pet to these quacks! In response to their response: No, they did not recommend another vet. They did tell her that he didn't sound sick enough for them to fit him in, so don't insult me by lying for your employee.

Took our pet in she was having trouble with delivering her pups and gave a large estimate was able to scrounge up what was needed for initial treatment was told pulled through but complications set in and revive another call needing approval for more treatment which in turn needed a substantial amount more money unfortunately she didn’t make it . Staff was as helpful as could be but cost of any treatment is a ungodly amount of money and a average person couldn’t afford the costs of treatment here to where I’ll be paying it for the next few years just cost of treatment here is too much

The greatest animal hospital I’ve ever been to. Our dog recently had a leg amputation. We took him to two other vets beforehand who both said they recommended amputation but didn’t feel confident enough to do it on a dog of our size. The surgery went perfectly and every single staff member has been nothing but helpful every time we’ve had to call since he left. We love our pets and they’ve never made us feel like our calls every few hours were a bother and everyone was so kind. I’d go as far to say we have received better care here as dog parents than I ever have as an actual patient at any doctors office or hospital. Dr. Wolff was so sweet and took the time to answer all of my questions before and after surgery. Definitely recommend this place to anyone who wants the absolute best care for their pets!

I can’t recommend this place enough. To all the staff working New Year’s Day, I am forever grateful to everyone’s kindness. Our baby Winston (Winnie) caught parvo and we were so nervous and ill prepared. They calmed our nerves and I will forever be grateful. Being a dog mom is stressful enough, being a sick dog mom is that much worse. Thankful for all of you! ❤️

As an update to my prior review, we lost our 15 yo lab, Ibis, on 12/26 (at home). We took him to CVETS. They treated us with the utmost kindness and compassion. They took care of everything and we had our boy back with us the next day. It was a devastating loss for us - but we can't say enough about the way they handled it. Prior review - We have had nothing but the very best experiences at CVETS. Unfortunately, we have needed a couple “middle of the night“ surgeries and sick visits. We also see the oncologist at CVETS. I can’t say enough good things about the care our dogs have received at this facility. The doctors, nurses and other staff are friendly, patient and thorough. They are up front with their pricing, and I personally don’t feel you are paying a high premium for emergency services. If you need an ER vet, or specialist, you can’t go wrong with CVETS.

I don't normally leave reviews. Recently I had k-9 emergency and went to cvet. They were slammed with emergencies, and took a very long time to get my emergency resolved. But, the folks who served me were excellent and I was well pleased with everyone. They frequently apologized for the long wait, but emergencies often dictate the pace. Cvet handle, what certainly seem to be, a flood of emergency and took care of everybody. Well done and thank you, I say.

I took my asthmatic cat in for an emergency. They took care of him and worked me in with Dr Palio who has been treating his asthma. That way I did not have to come back for his appointment two days later. I love the caring and understanding that they all show, especially Dr Palio, to me and my pets.

Went back for a recheck in Dec 2021. Dr. Haviland & staff provided exceptional service. Thank you! First time taking a pet to CVETS for an Internal Med consult & ultrasound (Aug 2021). Staff were professional & engaging even though the office was busy. Vet tech & Dr Haviland asked good questions & gave thorough explanations of what may be going on with my standard poodle. I appreciate their thoroughness & was very pleased with their services.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5 stars plus some!!! Words cannot even describe the amount of gratitude we have for CVETS right now!!! The surgical team and receptionists and other nurses we met with have been so kind, explained everything to us, and went above and beyond to help us further. Although we understand the unknowns of surgery- this is a Christmas gift of care that will help us keep our baby around many more years. Thank you Jesus... Thank you CVETS team... and thanks go to the amazing people that helped us make this surgery possible today. God Bless. And Merry Christmas!!! ♡Onyx????

My 8 year old greyhound was in a "scuffle" with another greyhound and suffered a neck bite and torn trachea. I rushed her to CVETS on a weekend holiday and they couldn't have been nicer or more reassuring. It was standing room only in the waiting/check in area but they took my dog into the back immediately. Dr Edwards couldn't have been more professional or empathetic. Very impressed with the staff from the receptionists/phone answers to the nurse who took my calls and Dr. Edwards who never made me feel she was rushed and explained everything in elementary terms so I comprehended what injuries she had and the best treatment plan.
