Always a pleasure to visit

I am giving them a 3 star review because they botched my dogs spay leading to Urinary Incontinence. We first brought our dog in for spay last November but due to blood work coming back less than ideal, they decided to hold off. After this they scheduled several tests costing several hundreds of dollars only to be told to try again with the blood work in a few months. Again, the bloodwork came back less than ideal. They pushed the surgery to March of 2021 which required more tests and they gave her the OK to get spay. Ever since the spay my girl can no longer hold her bladder and leaks everywhere. This has ruined her quality of life and now the dog may have to be put on medication for life because of this. A mix of this incident and the quality of service seemingly decreasing with each visit has made us take her elsewhere in hopes they can fix the mess made by SPAH. While I am sure they have done spays with success the mixture of the problems stated before have lead me to removing her from their practice. Hopefully this helps someone make an educated decision.

I have been taking pets here for 20+ years. The staff is friendly and caring. They have always had the best interest of my pet babies in mind. This silly baby pictured has asthma and skin issues and they’ve been wonderful in helping us get her healthier. They’ve got great boarding facilities too that we used for our dog when we needed to leave town. Thanks to the team at SouthPark Animal.

Always a great experience here! The staff members are all so friendly and knowledgeable, and I’ve found that the prices are reasonable considering the high quality of service and care. Between my dog and three cats, I’ve had the pleasure to work with pretty much every doctor at SouthPark, so I can vouch that all of them are exceptional and easy to work with. Highly recommend!

They are nice but my dog was sick twice and they could not get him in for an appointment. They gave me an appointment 5 days later. We have been clients for years and when your dog is sick but not an emergency you want to be seen by your regular doctor. We unfortunately will have to switch practices.

They refused to see my for an emergency because they were "overbooked" They set me to another animal hospital that was "right around the corner" and turned out to be 5 miles away. My 3 year old cat died before I reached the other location. If I could rate them in negative numbers I would.

Excellent boarding, friendly efficient staff and Docs are always conscientious and call me to let me know what's up with my pup.

Great location. Doctors and staff are amazing. One downside is they are extremely busy so getting appt for last minute issues is virtually impossible.

The doctors and staff here have really gone above and beyond in caring for my two kittens. One has had some persistent issues and the vet has spent a great deal of time on the phone with me and with the emergency vet and the pharmacy, making sure he got the care he needed. Really value their compassion and conscientiousness!

Amazing people, who care deeply about all animals.

Dr Mercer knew that my fiancé’s were limited however he kept comming up with things I must do. He convinced me to do a senior blood test on my healthy dog which cost 300.00 and when I asked for a copy 4 times I never received it. Half the staff left there while I was there complaining about Dr Mercer. Mercer was the worst vet I have ever went to who never really answered any questions with wanting to do more test on a healthy dog. Buyer beware

I can't say enough about the team at SouthPark Animal Hospital, especially Dr Wayne Mercer. I have a six year miniature pinscher and have been going to them her whole life. Recently, while home in Ohio for the holidays, my pup got severe pancreatitis and was in the hospital for three days. After being released, she suffered an allergic reaction to one of the medications and broke out in severe hives/rash. Dr Mercer called to check on Sadie multiple times, even spending 20 minutes with me on the phone on his day off to talk through everything and make me feel better about the allergic reaction. After we got back to Charlotte, Dr Mercer again called to check on her and make sure she was recovering. He didn't see a penny from the time and advice and care he gave me. It is so nice to know my vet genuinely cares about the well-being of my pup. We are lucky to have him in our life.

Always a great experience with these folks! The COVID process continues to work well and the service is top notch! Can't recomend enough...thank you for taking such good care of our pup!

The best vets around! I've been a client of this practice for almost 20 years and their love and care for my pets have been outstanding. They are so kind and helpful. They don't rush to spending lots of money on tests - they really try to determine what is wrong with your pet in . practical and professional way. I've just had to put my dog down recently, and I am so grateful for their help during this difficult season. You won't find a better vet anywhere else, especially Dr. Long and Dr. Mercer!

These folks have lovingly taken care of my cat Milkshake for the last 16 years. Unfortunately today was our final visit for him and they were very compassionate throughout the process. Even though they are not the most conveniently located veterinary option for us now, we have stayed with SPAH through the years, and will definitely come back for any future pets.

I'm not sure we will ever go anywhere else...my crazy Buddy-dog is always very well taken care of! Just took him in today, and Dr. Long and the team were able to cut off a broken nail AND trim Buddy's 17 other digits...which is a total miracle! We've been going since 2014, and have always received excellent care from all of the doctors and staff! I cannot rave enough.
