Ballantyne Veterinary Clinic Charlotte, South Carolina

Moved to Balantyne in June. I needed a new vet, called because my dog became ill and they got me in that morning. Got my baby on meds ran some tests, informed me about what was going on every step of the way. Dr. Humphrey called me several times to explain what they were doing, and how my dog was doing. He came out on pick up to introduce himself and talk about my dog and what was going on. He did not push a bunch of needless testing on me. I fully recommend him and his kind staff to anyone needing a safe place to bring your injured or ailing pet.

Takes a deposit for appointment but does not text or call for apt confirmation/reminder. Seems like they are hard up for the deposit money. Not the type of business I would want to take my dog to. Find a vet that cares about the animals.

Excellent experience beginning with the initial intake call! Recently moved to the area and dog was due for vaccines- scheduling was easy, plus I am so grateful they took time to explain what to expect with Mecklenburg licensing and with the appointment (due to covid safety). During the exam, Dr Miles was very thoughtful and answered all my questions, made smart suggestions toward treatment as well. The next day, I received a follow up phone call from Dr. Humphrey introducing himself, was informative on follow up expectations and lab results. Everyone on the staff seems knowledgeable, kind, and helpful. I look forward to working with this office in the future.

I can’t think of anything that could have made the experience better but I will say Dr. Humphreys and his staff are always great. They not only care for the safety on the staff but also for the safety of our pets throughout this pandemic. Thank you guys for always being so wonderful.

Do not go to this Vet. They literally have a sign outside that says “Sit, Stay” for PEOPLE! Even though the mask mandate has been lifted they insist that people must sit in the car and the dog goes inside. At this point when the Governor has lifted the mandate and we have been vaccinated they make people sit in their car. We were going to be new clients and their policy is absurd. The sign on the door is absolutely insulting. Many other very qualified Veterinarians out there. Shame on them.

This Veterinary Clinic is one of the best I've been to so far. The greeting at the door was already the sweetest feeling, as you can see in the photo with Sylvester waiting for check-in! The staff, nurses, and doctors are all incredibly professional, kind, sweet, and very caring. All the best qualities you could ask for. The clinic is impeccably clean and warm and inviting. Sylvester and I are happy to have met our new friends at Ballantyne Veterinary Clinic :)

Shelby groomed my little Schnoodle the other day and I was very pleased with her work! She seems to genuinely love her dogs. She followed my instructions to a T! Now my little boy thinks he's the stud of the neighbourhood! Great work, Shelby!

The team at Ballantyne Veterinary Clinic are top notch. We needed a change after our old vet went corporate. They overcharged, did unnecessary tests and you where just a number. We found Ballantyne Vet Clinic and was so thankful to be back to a privately owned vet that cared about you and your pet. The team communicated with us consistently before and after our visit and was very responsive. Highly recommend and so glad we found them.

Dr Humphrey always makes our fur babies feel like they're his most important clients. I've been to a few different Veterinarians in Charlotte and have never received such personalized attention. Although we don't really know each other, I consider him a friend of the family.

I absolutely LOVE Ballantyne Veterinary Clinic and especially Dr. Humphrey! I will not take my dog anywhere else. In fact, I have referred several friends and family to him and everyone has a great experience. My dog is an allergy-ridden, always has something going on, sort of Labrador Retriever, so we are definitely frequent fliers at Dr. Humprey's office. He is extremely personable and most importantly, he remembers his customers very well. There's nothing worse than going to a vet office and seeing a different doctor every time who doesn't know your pets medical history off the top of their head. You won't find that here. Dr. Humphrey and his staff are always helpful and accommodating. Cannot recommend them enough!

Dr H and his whole staff are so friendly and helpful. He really takes time with you to answer all your questions and provides options for treatment to fit your budget. I am so pleased with the care my dog gets. I wouldn’t go anywhere else!!

This veterinary office is the best I’ve been to. My corgi is very temperamental and it is often made worse in unfamiliar surroundings. The people at Ballantyne Veterinary Clinic took the time to listen to my concerns and figure out a way to make Nigel more comfortable in the situation. I have been so thankful that we have found you and that a trip to the vet doesn’t mean two days of Nigel trying to come down from his agitated state. Thank you for all that you do. You guys are amazing!

I cannot say enough positive things about Ballantyne Veterinary Clinic. I have had a couple of bad experiences with vets in the past and was thrilled when I found this place. They are so great to my dogs. Dolly is nervous to get up on the examination tables, and so Dr. Humphrey sits on the floor with her. They give great advice, always answer my questions and help me make it work financially, which is important since I have a dog with Cushings. If you are looking for a vet, Ballantyne Veterinary Clinic is your place!

Great customer service and pet care. I go here for annual check ups and they also did a tough surgery on my cat when he broke and fractured his leg. Little buddy is close to all healed up now.

Very friendly and knowledgeable. Even though her mom usually brings her, the Dr remembered how my dog acted and was very pleasant

We got a new puppy and Ballantyne Veterinary Clinic was recommenced to us. We couldn’t agree more. The facility was very clean, the staff extremely friendly and helpful, and the Dr. was awesome. He sat on the floor and made us feel very important as he played with our dog, answered all questions and gave us things to think about for his care.They were not aggressive in having us purchase items but just showed us availability at their office. We were one pleased family!

The front desk staff was polite and visit was a pleasure. Josh(the vet) was very thorough and set aside time to give diagnosis and take any questions. Area was clean and they had treats for their patients.

My puppy's first appointment with the team was awesome!! They were so friendly and loving towards my pup. Dr. Humphrey was great in calming this new fur mommy's worries and answering all questions. Dr. Humphrey is the best. He takes the time to fully explain things and make you and your pet at ease and comfortable. The front office staff is helpful and friendly. This is a great place to bring your pet for terrific care.
