I was very happy with their set up and the care our dog received. Living nearby I'm always impressed by how little noise the facility makes. It's like those dogs are too busy having a good time to spend their day barking.

Our miniature Bull Terrier Tilly has been coming here since she is 1 year old. She LOVES The Barker Lounge!! You could not ask for a better experience for your dog the evidence is clear by the way she claws at the glass front door desperate to get in to see her friends and PLAY!!! She is knocked out when she comes home and the next day too, added bonus! Cannot say enough good things about the lovely hardworking couple who have made this exceptional daycare a reality.

I’ve never left a negative review on any business before but when I didn’t receive a call back from the owners I feel I have no choice. Last Sunday was my second time going to the Barker Lounge for grooming. The first time was a positive experience. However this time not so much. I had to drop off my dog a little early because we had to be at a surprise party by a certain time. I was greeted by the totally annoyed groomer (Andrea I believe) because I was early. Not late, early! It was longer than we usually go between grooming but this was the first date she had available. We have a cavashon so her hair is wavy. She was long but NOT matted. However she had two dreads, one on each ear. Which is not unusual and every groomer we have used for the past NINE years have always taken the time to get them out. When I picked my dig up she was completely shaved down. Ears and all! Fur grows back so where I’m NOT happy it’s not the end of the world. My biggest complaint is my dog behavior when I picked her up. She was cowering down with her tail tucked and shaking. She was that way for the remainder of the day and part of the next. She has NEVER acted that way after being groomed before. I have no idea what happened. I just know that if she treated my dog like she treated me for being early then I should warn people. We will never be back!

We love the Barker Lounge West Ashley! Heidi, Kevin, Harmony and staff are awesome! Always friendly, helpful and great with the fur customers. Adrienne, the groomer, is amazing! She's super easy to work with and does the best job with both of our dogs. Highly recommend them.

My pup loves it there! And I'm one of those people obsessed with her dog, so earning my trust is not easy, but these wonderful folks have it! The staff is friendly, and you can really tell how much they love animals. Plus it feels very safe there, so I know my little guy is being well looked out for.

My dog is ultra high energy and hard to handle. He comes home after a day here totally wiped out. He gets super excited when we pull into the parking lot, so it's safe to say he loves it. He's also not a people person at all, but the staff has been great with transitioning him from with me to there and I can tell he's starting to become comfortable with them.

Great people, great facility. It is the only place my dog come home happy and tired from. It is so clear that the owners love dogs, yours as well as their own!

Incredible service. We have been taking our two dogs for two years. They have the best owners and friendliest staff. Dogs are usually exhausted for a few days after day care and for about a week after being boarded.

We just picked our sweet boy up yesterday after being boarded for 9 days. I was called by Heidi on Saturday evening (the night before he was to be picked up) and was told he may have kennel cough and that they separated him from the rest of the dogs. When I arrived the next morning to pick him up, I was told he ate well, and besides the mucus in his nose and a slight cough, he had been acting just fine. He was excited to see me, but once we were in the truck I immediately knew something was wrong. He laid there the whole ride home, hardly moving. Once home I noticed he seemed much thinner, was lethargic, and wouldn’t eat or drink. I got him into his vet early Monday morning and was told he had a terrible infection, fever and had lost 7 pounds. He was put on strong antibiotics and they sent us home with wet food because they were worried about the weight loss and dehydration. That certainly doesn’t sound like a dog that was acting fine and eating well!! I am beyond angry with the owners of The Barker Lounge and the lack of care they showed our poor puppy. If you care at all about your animals, TAKE THEM SOMEWHERE ELSE!! They aren’t taking any responsibility for his illness or for not contacting us before he got so sick. *** I should add that he has never been ill before, routinely sees his vet for vaccinations/well visits, and is our only pet. Before going to The Barker Lounge he was not in contact with any other animal that could have gotten him sick.

My dog loves this dog day care. Clean, very professionally operated.

I informed them I would be coming into town on a specific date and we would need a meet and greet. When I showed up they told me they could see me for 2 weeks well after I left. The owner was rude and unprofessional. If I lived in town I would never leave my dogs with a company so unorganized rude and lacking customer service.

Frank loved his visit here today for his “Meet and Greet!” I appreciated the owners’ friendliness and expertise. He’s dog tired, and we’ve already made reservations for day care next week and boarding reservations for a weekend next month.

This is THE place for your pup! Both of mine go to BL and LOVE it. The staff is caring, attentive, and professional. And when it's your pup's birthday, they treat the four-legged loves to puppacinos! Thanks Heidi, Kevin, and the BL crew for making my dogs sooooo happy to leave home.

We have taken our dog to the Barker Lounge for boarding and daycare for over two years now. We love it and could not say enough good things about it! The staff is helpful, friendly and great with dogs. The facilities are clean and well maintained. Our dog is always excited to go to the BL and is exhausted when he gets home. There are very few people we trust to care for our pup, and we trust the Barker Lounge whole heartedly.

My dog loves it. I will be more comfortable one the present video cameras are operational and they have an outdoor area.

I've been taking Louie, my French Bulldog, here for about a year and a half. This is literally his favorite place on Earth. He always comes home tired from a full day of play. He freaks out with excitement in the morning on the days he knows he gets to come here. I've been to all of the doggy daycares in West Ashley and this one is by far the best, and most professional.

I take my two yorkies and mini schnauzer here for grooming. The groomer does a great job!
