I’m really sorry to write this I tried directly emailing but to no response. The day after I brought my 7 month old puppy for a check up he came down with severe kennel cough. He needed an IV and about $300 worth of medical treatment. I was told to not come in due to covid restrictions. I had no other pets (no way for him to get infected on my part) and due to covid no other contact with others than my elderly mother I take care of. This happened in August of 2020. I understand I won’t get an apology. honestly I’m thinking it was a complete mistake I’m just writing this so others aren’t wronged. Other than that the staff was very nice.

Everybody at Animal Medical West is friendly and helpful. My dog does not like going to the vet, he gets very nervous and is all over the place and they are so gentle and understanding with him. I highly recommend them!!

Thank you for your understanding compassion and just overall understanding on one of the hardest days of my life. You are there with me until the end of my little Kitty . I don't even remember her name but she was absolutely phenomenal as was her staff staff. If and when I decide to get another companion this will be the only that I will take him or her too because of that vet today she understood the way I felt the hard decision I had to make and stayed with me the whole time until it was over. I have never experienced a true compassionate veterinarian like I did today I want to thank her so much but as I said I was in such a state I can't remember her name. I would definitely recommend them to everyone.

Thank you for fitting Martha in so quickly the other day ! Like within the hour! Our poor girl we found out from Sweet Dr Trotter had some kind of Gastointestinal Virus and was severely dehydrated. I also told Dr Trotter about how she was so weak she kept slipping, she walked back in with a wonderful product they even put on her nails she also ordered some meds and injected some saline and we took her home. A couple days later she is back to herself AND not slipping on the floor anymore !!!

The entire staff was courteous and very informative.

The staff are professional, caring, and very helpful. Everytime I bring a pet into the office I leave feeling comfortable with the care they received.

I am so glad a neighbor told me about this place! The staff is friendly, scheduling an appointment has never been a problem, Dr Trotter is excellent, the vet techs have been top-notch, and follow-up contact is great. Do your pet a favor and start bringing them to AMW.

Everyone there is great with the exception of the front desk staff. Specifically the young lady with the short, greenish hair. She is rude & doesn’t make you feel welcome at all. Totally classless. Thankfully the technicians & Dr. Smyth-Trotter made up for that.

I was happy after my tour and meeting the employees here. Yonnie enjoyed her change of environment and she will be going back again soon. Thank you all so much for taking good care of her.

We just moved to Charleston, had a death in the family and needed to run to Colorado. We needed a medical hospital for a check up, then boarding while we were gone and a bath and haircut before we picked up our dog. All went seamlessly, and we’ll go there again for any and all of the above services.

The staff is family to me. I have been with Animal Medical West since 1992. I won't take my furries anywhere else. I have complete faith and trust in Dr. Hengtes and Staff. I love them all dearly. They're reliable, responsive, professional, and treat your furries as if they were their own.

I felt they were taking advantage of me. When I called to get a quote about how much the veterinary services would be they quoted me differently then what they tried to charge me. They quoted me less when I called and really tried to overcharge me when I got there..

We have trusted the doctors at Animal Medical West for 10 years to treat our dog Jasmine, their most scared patient. The staff and doctors are gentle, patient and most kind during the appointments. All procedures are well explained and they guide you to make informed decisions in treatment.

I called around and found this place, they were able to squeeze me in in a 2 hour notice! If your looking for a almost emergency/great care I highly recommend this place. Btw my cat lived!

Dr.Tom is the best, most caring, sweetest and smartest vet I have ever known. He knows stuff that other Vets don’t have a clue about. He saved my 13 yr old best friend! And the staff is so caring and friendly. Love them all!

The employees here order delivery through app services and decide not to tip. Speaks volumes for the type of people that actually work here even if they’re working for animals I’d avoid this place like the plague.

Dr Tom Hentges is a wonderful vet and person. He genuinely treats every pet as if it were his own. He is a modern day Dr Doolittle and our dogs love him.

The team at Animal Medical West has assisted in keeping our dogs happy and healthy ever since we moved to the area seven years ago. They made their largest impact recently when we needed to make that difficult decision for our beloved Marbella. They accommodated our request in a timely manner and displayed their deepest compassion and heartfelt care during the procedure. Animal medical west is the best place for professional service I have a Shiba inu that needs special attention bringing her there they help me get her treatment that she needs every time I bring my Roxy to them I cannot thank them enough because if it wasn't for animal medical west I wouldn't no how I would get medical attention for my Roxy I would definitely highly recommend this facility they take care of Roxy like I never expected from the very 1st time I took her there I explained my situation with Roxy and they knew exactly how to deal with her aggressive behavior I cannot thank them enough for everything they did for her sincerely yours George Guenther

We've been going to Animal Medical West for 20 years at least, we're very happy with our service. Dr Tom has always been our vet of choice but the other veterinarians in this practice are very knowledgeable and very dependable. We won't go anywhere else!

I have been using this vet for years and they have always taken excellent care of my pets. I have four animals that are treated here and each is always given the individual care they need. The staff are always friendly, helpful and caring towards my pets. Would recommend them to pet owners. Dr. Campbell is excellent with the animals.

Wonderful to my animals, kind, professional, and Reliable. A little higher priced , but well worth the little extra expense knowing my Cats are well taken care of with kindness and love. Great kind staff and vets. Recommend to anyone with Kitties, dogs or any other animal they may attend to. Would not use any other vets.
