There is one specific person here who answers the phones so rudely. Absolutely no care or recommendation on what I should do for my pets mouth infection... which obviously she wasn’t worried about. If that’s how you treat someone and there pet right off the bat... I’d go to the regular emergency room before ever considering this practice again. Where as tiverton animal hospital got me in in 48 hours and we’re nice about it too. If I can get specific the FD at the Portsmouth vet said to me “I have no clue what’s going on with your dog and I don’t have appointments going on for another month.” If you need actual care for your pet I’d highly recommended sakonnett animal hospital.

If their vets are as good as the person who answered the phone, I know my puppy will be in good hands. That person was very helpful answering questions for me and giving me much needed advise. Unfortunately, due to covid, I had to find another vet to care for my puppy who is behind in her vaccines and needs to be spayed before she goes into heat due to my male pure bred dog who is not neutered for personal reasons. They never once asked why I didnt neuter him or criticize my choice not to. They just wanted to help me and my need for a dependable, knowledgable, considerate and accommodating place that my pet and myself will feel comfortable. So to the staff member who helped me last Thursday, thank you for your help. I work in the medical field and they were nothing but professional and kind.

Every person here truly loves and cares about my pet. I am greeted kindly each and every time whether it be in person or over the phone. I get honest, upfront info regarding my pets care. The time the vet gives is always generous. They are knowledgeable in their practice, always offering suggestions that will help my animals live their best lives. I highly recommend Portsmouth Veterinary Clinic.

My kitten was taken to this vet multiple times. And not only were intestinal parasites overlooked in every examination, but the treatment for ear mites they instructed us to do left her with a bacterial infection. I only found this out today because she was taken to a different, better veterinary service elsewhere. Please, if you have any love for your animals and want to give them the best care, do NOT take them here.

This is my not the same clinic it was a year ago. Rude and rigid staff, getting an appointment is near impossible. If it's an emergency than you had better look elsewhere as they do not have the time to see your animal. On top of the already over the top COVID-19 restrictions making you feel like you're at a McDonald's rather a vet! My animals have gone here for over a decade, but never again.

I can not believe you are still not allowing people to go with their pet into your facility. We can eat at a restaurant, go to routine medical appointments for ourselves, but you are too scared of COVID to let us accompany out pets? You just lost a customer and I hope you lose more, you don't deceiver to be in business.

Had an appointment for my diabetic Yorkie's bloodwork at 3 PM. The vet tech met us outside at the car to pick up Brady and he was back in no time at all. By the time I arrived home, we had already received the call saying his levels were perfect! Wonderful! Worth the drive from Warwick!!

Outstanding service and experience! We brought our dog Teddy in for a round of vaccinations. Super efficient, reasonable prices, answered all our questions, and even gave our a dog Teddy a toy! We weren’t able to go inside with our dog due to COVID, but we were updated continuously over the phone outside and felt he received the best care!

I was very happy with Dr. O'Neill...though we only met by phone due to Corona virus. He was thorough in his explanation and my cat got better straight away. She had an upper respiratory issue that sounded awful. Friendly staff.

They were very suite in a very hard time

my cat was sick, really sick but our regular vet didn’t have “time” to see him which was upsetting because it’s a healthy cat that suddenly became quite ill. Having no other choice, I contacted PVC and they were AWESOME! I was able to get an appointment same day! Sure it cost us quite a bit but at least we have peace of mind knowing our cat is being treated which our regular vet didn’t have time to see a sick pet. Don’t know if I’ll be going back to Mount Hope, they weren’t helpful they weren’t compassionate and the woman who answered was quite rude and uncaring “sorry about that” was her reply
