I adopted my dog from here in July 2021 - the staff was incredibly kind and helpful from the application process to taking my new doggo home. In October, my dog went through heat even though the staff informed me my dog was spayed (due to the large scar on her belly). I reached out again and informed them my dog was actually not spayed since she was experiencing heat and they kindly offered to spay her without any cost! I also appreciated how COVID safe the SPCA is. I truly had an above and beyond experience at York County SPCA. Thanks for all that you do!

Great Staff. I went to rent a trap to get a bunch of cats that are outdoors. One of them is my Son's cat that ran out of my house last week. While looking for him, I saw a bunch of cats out in this weather. It's concerning to me but I am trying to help them. The Y SPCA is awesome. They explained everything to me and I hope to help these cars out the best way that I can.

Wonderful work that these Folks are doing. Especially for the feral cats. Very polite and helpful. These people work extremely hard. With the COVID problem they have to carry heavy cages to and from the cars and building in all kinds of weather. Thank you for your service, many blessings to you.

If your looking to get a pet from a people who emanate with their every being the fact that animals are to be loved and cared for , go no further, you’ve found the spot. You get to take home a furry friend and know that every dime you spend goes to helping other animals. If you already have one or two or too many, then look at their eyes and consider donating so that other pets can look at their forever pet parents some day too.

Awesome place. This is my third adoption. Everyone is very friendly and accommodating. They truly want to see the animals find their forever home. Very nice, clean shelter.

Wow what a nice well staffed facility. I had to take a stray kitten in that I found along the road. They were very accommodating. Hopefully the kitty will find a new forever home.

I use the TNR program. The girls are always very helpful and they work very hard. Not easy in these times to deal with the public. They it handle very well and are great at what they do.

Staff was very arrogant. The one nice employee got in trouble for being nice. Its like they don't want you to save an animal.

One of the cheaper prices to get animals spayed or Neutered. Only gave it a 4 out of 5 due to staff that is very rude.. Not all of them are rude but a few are and it hurts their business..

Very helpful, professional, and organized. Most staff appear to really put heart and soul into job while always remaining professional and fair.

York spca is extremely a big disappointment!I took a feral female cat to get spayed ,Distemper, Flea and tick ,Rabbies vaccine, I've explained to them that the cat had kittens very young !She needs to get back asap !They kept the mother for 2 days!Saying they were bked up !How humane is that?Just today, Took another female cat to have the procedure done without warning on there website I drove 45 minutes to get there only to have a representative say that they were closed !When they are usually there monday through Wednesday to spay and neuter walkins! Not to mention they over charge 53 dollars for the whole procedure for one cat !Dont waste your money people!Go to helping hands on lancaster pa total cost for every thing 35 bucks !!!!That s my experience with the spca in york pa!I will never go bk again. !!!!!

My experience with this place made me change my mind about adopting a dog Would never recommend this place they make it difficult for you to adopt a dog this place is a shame You better off breeding and buying your own puppies I feel sorry for the animals there & the workers are rude I Rather not go through Bs with the people that work at this Shelter Most of the animals there has been thru neglect & previous owners didn’t want them that’s why they are considered stray animals
